"Eden Supportive Living Champaign was right across the street from a park and it's close to the downtown area where people could go shopping or go out to eat. It's a pretty nice location. The staff was very helpful. They would be doing apartment cleaning, and assistance with showers, medicine, and laundry. The room looked kinda like a hotel when you walked into it. It was very nice and clean. It had a front desk area, then the rooms were in the back. Everything was good from what I could tell. The people that work there were very helpful with the whole process even though we didn't end up going there. They made it easy to get the paperwork done and such."

"I visited Windsor of Savoy, which is an excellent community. However, the rates are different compared to the other community we visited. They don't even require a financial statement, and they don't take over all of your interest; you just pay a flat monthly fee. They have a waiting list of about six months. They had excellent staff who was very helpful while we were there. I looked over to the units, and we're pleased that they're very well taken care of. The rooms had good appliances, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven, a regular stove, large closets, and a storage area available in the basement if you have some extra things. You're also allowed to move in your own furniture. They have a good staff, good dining facility, no pool, but they have a good workout room, and they have a lot of good social activities. Everything is nice and clean, and they have transportation for everybody or garages if you still drive."

"I really liked it, because it had a small dining area for the residents. The whole facility looked very clean, sharp, and beautiful. The rooms are really nice and they have a beautiful courtyard area. We toured both assisted living and memory care, and it seemed like everybody was friendly towards one another. It's a nice place."

"My mother's longtime friend Betty H. from Champaign, Illinois, is a current resident of Prairie Winds. She has been in new the facility for approximately six months. The center is only a few years old. I visited the center in late August of 2011, and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the outside and inside of the building. Inside the center it was organized to the needs of the residents. There were excersise rooms for therepy and rooms for entertainment. The staff were very friendly, caring and knowledgeable about the residents medical needs. I was informed that they offer a bus service for the residents to hospitals and Dr.'s offices nearby and various local shopping areas. They supplied transportation for Betty to attend a funeral service of a friend. She just has to notify the staff that she needs transportaion to an from an appointment. I noticed that Betty had her own kitchenette in her apartment, which I thought was an important detail for her independence. The staff also check her medicines daily and ask if there are any questions. I would highly recommend this facility to any family researching extended stay care centers. "

"We went to Savoy Villas of Holly Brook. It was very nice and wonderful. The apartments were very nice, the buildings were almost identical to the other place, and the lady that gave us the walk through was very helpful; she followed up with us the next day. The food was delicious. They have a four seasons room, with fireplaces, TV sets, a pool table, and they have a theater room which is actually set up like a theater. The dining area was very nice, very clean, and had buffet style meals. They have separate rooms for arts and crafts or baking. They have laundry facilities and you have a choice of doing it yourself or having them do it for you. The four seasons room and inner court apartments all open into an open patio area where you can put furniture, plants, or whatever you want outside your doors. It's absolutely beautiful."

"My Mother has lived at the Villas for over a year and loves it. She's very active, participates in most activities and is well cared for. I've spent the night with her several times so have seen the caring attitudes of all of the staff. The staff has turned over quite a bit, however, the guidelines for hiring seem solid in that even the new folks have a very caring attitude. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they don't offer auto pay options, they're still dealing with cash or checks at the front counter. "

"My mother moved into the Villas of Holly Brook. Everything is very good, and we're pleased. It's a brand-new facility, her room is very nice, and the food is excellent. I ate there for lunch today. She was putting together puzzles, they had a nice video show on Sunday, and a Bible study this morning. It was everything we wanted."

"Eagle's View Supportive Living & Memory Care was surprisingly very nice. It's an old building, but everything was set up wonderfully. The meals were actually done when you want them, there's no set time so you can go down whenever, they tell the cook what you want and they will fix it, and you can eat whenever you like. They have craft areas, they have preachers come in, music groups come in, and they go on shopping trips. We did not feel comfortable leaving my friend in an upstairs apartment without a call button. Downstairs were all common areas, and the apartments were up on the second floor and above."

"I really like The Villas of Holly Brook. They have a nice apartment with one bedroom, one bath, and a kitchen area. "

"We're in the process of getting my friend into the Gibson City Villas of Hollybrook. We chose this because the location is convenient for them. I felt that the staff members were very good, they made it feel like it was personal to him. My friend and his wife did a different tour with their granddaughter. They tried the food and thought it was very good. The facility was very, very nice, it's still kind of new and not that old, it looks pretty modern, and the facilities were very nice."

"My grandmother has been in this nursing home for 4 years, so I have visited on many occasions. As is the case for most nursing homes, it is a fairly depressing place. There is the usual smell, and often residents sit in their rooms or the hallway talking to themselves or complaining about something. However, the facility, while being well-worn, is always clean, and the staff are friendly and attentive. My grandmother has many friends among the staff members, and some of them have given her presents with their own money. She enjoys the planned activities, like bingo and handbell ringing, where the staff helps her participate in spite of her limited eyesight. She was even awarded the "Valentine's Day Queen" title once and got her picture in the local newspaper. Due to its easily accessible location in a small town, many townspeople are able to go there to visit. I am grateful that my grandmother enjoys living in this home and never protests about being there. "
