Our residents that can still drive, transport themselves. Many of our residents have family members that will pick them up and take them to doctor's appointments and other critical appointments. When residents have appointments at Horizon Health in Oakland, one of our team members can take them over to the clinic. If none of the above options are available, Dial-a-ride is a service that can pick you up at the Oaks and take you to your appointment (or shopping when we are no longer restricted by COVID; currently $2 each way).
What makes the chef or dining program at The Oaks Manor exceptional? What kind of menu can assisted living residents expect?
Like most families of this farming community, our residents enjoy a larger noon meal (roast beef, pork chops, salmon patties, turkey & dressing) and then a smaller supper meal (soup, sandwiches, fruit, etc.). For breakfast our residents get to choose whatever they want for breakfast (sausage, eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, cereal, juice, fruit, etc.) We cater to your wants and needs. If you do not like what is on the menu for that meal, you can request another meal from our substitution list.
