"Sunrise of Flossmoor is very modern and is a small setting. They have a maximum of 26 residents, which is a nice-sized group home. The staff seemed very friendly and very competent. The rooms were huge. It was just a very nice, friendly, welcoming setting. The residents didn't seem neglected or anything like that. Everyone seemed to be doing very well. We saw their outdoor patio, but it was rather small. It was like a central point of going in and out, but it was very confining, and that's the only thing I felt. The one door that we went out of was coded, so you had to put in a code to go out. So if the person has paranoia, then they might feel like, 'I'm locked up,' and so that kind of concerned me. But there was plenty of space indoors. On their patio, they had a nice little setup. They're going to do some raised bed gardening with the residents. It seemed very nice and very accessible to me. The staff who gave the tour was very accommodating."

"We toured Sunrise Villa Olympia Fields. It was a nice community. It had a lot of amenities. The apartments were nice-looking. They provide food three times a day and activities. The negative was that the whole city doesn't have senior transportation. They have some for their community, but that's only within a few miles. There is no system to pick up senior citizens to take them to other communities, and that's the part that my brother did not like. He liked the community. He was invested in it. He likes his independence, but he can't drive, and he wants to be able to go places. The staff was very kind and informative. The structure was okay, and the cleanliness was good. They have a library, a gym, and a courtyard."

"My father was a memory care resident at RODC for 3.5 years until he recently passed away late summer 2018. This was the 3rd facility he was in during the last 8 years, & by far the best. The care & concern of the director Karen, & all of the nursing, aide, & dietary staff members was nothing short of exceptional from day one. They showed him lots of personal attention & love. Plenty of activities, incl. church services were available. Any concerns during his stay, incl. dietary were always addressed promptly & professionally. RODC is also competitively priced. I highly recommend RODC for memory care. I also had opportunity during his stay to observe the assisted living & would recommend it as well."

"I had a very cordial visit to Tinley Court. Me coming from a house, the rooms are rather small for me. However, I appreciated the courtesy of the lady that was showing them to me. I would recommend it to anybody that would want to kind of scale down to a smaller area. They showed me at least four rooms. They also showed me an activity room, a computer area, the lunchroom, and a library. It was okay. It's very convenient to shopping, too."

"I recently toured StoryPoint Senior Living while looking for options for my mom, and I was so impressed. The community is absolutely beautiful, clean, and very welcoming from the moment you walk in. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They took the time to answer my questions and made the whole experience feel comfortable and reassuring. What stood out most was the warm, positive atmosphere—it truly feels like a place where residents can feel at home. I would feel very confident having my mom here."

"It has apartments where the residents could bring in a caretaker, and they can actually live in there. Then they have a nurse and staff, but it's totally different than the other facilities that are memory care. They had a lot of activities, and it was a very clean place. They had a professional gourmet chef on staff. So, the food looks a little more than just generic meals. The whole facility is brand new. The staff member who gave me the tour, she was very knowledgeable. They have a little theater in there, and the activities were just basic activities. I didn't see anything extraordinary for memory care there that she explained. It just looked like there were more gourmet meals versus family style meals, I would say; there was nothing cooking at that time. The facility is very clean."

"The rooms at Bickford of Tinley Park were good, and the people and dining area were very nice. It was very clean. They had a good courtyard."

"My friend moved into Brookdale Orland Park. The accommodations and the room are nice. The other clients are very well taken care of. It's a clean place and the staff is very friendly. They have a dining area. They have an area where everyone can sit and watch TV. They have bingo and they have a common meeting once a week for the residents with concerns or certain things they want to cover."

"I thought Sunrise of Palos Park was nice. Jenna was very thorough and answered all my questions. The place was very clean and I liked the way the facility was set up. The pricing was just right too. With the COVID and stuff, they were even giving good deals. I was very happy with it. We won't be going right now, but if we'd do it, we would go with Sunrise of Palos Park. Their assisted living and memory care were great and really designed for elderly people."

"Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park was very clean, very warm, and very bright. There were fireplaces all around. It was welcoming. I loved their apartments because they had a little kitchenette, but you had to go through the closet to get to the bathroom, and that's the only thing I didn't care for. They have Bingo and for the Catholics, they have communion and they have a priest come in. They seemed to do a lot of activities. They also had a beauty parlor."

"Bickford Senior Living was a beautiful place, but my uncle was not comfortable there. I liked everything about it; the lady that we met with was very nice. Workers came and talked to him while we were walking around; they were doing group stuff in the lobby. It had a nice dining room. They had beautiful rooms and enough space for him in a room. The set-ups were nice because of how the restrooms were in them. "

"Majestic Care of Saint Anthony was very clean, very warm, and inviting. The staff that I met seemed very cheerful, knowledgeable, and engaged with the patients. They had activities. I saw the activity rooms. In terms of location, it was next to everything. It was centrally located."

"My grandmother moved to Two Hearts Homes for Seniors - Crown Point. It's a small community of only 15 bedrooms. The number of caregivers to residents ratio is awesome. The caregivers there make the food for the residents. It's got a big open-concept kitchen, dining room, and living room, so they all eat together in that same room. They watch TV together. It's family-owned and operated. The owners have been great to work with. The administrative team has been great to work with. It's more of a home setting than a facility setting. It's just a family vibe. The staff is very outgoing and tends to go above and beyond. There's a small number of residents. So, they can take the time to get to know the people. It's very intimate. The facility is clean. The facility is brand new. They just sent me a picture of my grandma painting a coaster today. The whole building is in the shape of a U. At the bottom of the U is like the living room, the kitchen, and everything else. Then the branches of the U, the one bedroom, the large studio apartments, and they have a nice bathroom and nice-sized high ceilings."

"I've been here now 3 years and I have really enjoyed living here. The staff is fun and I really enjoy all the things that we can do, because it's set up for aging adults. While it's too hard at my age to have a dog depend on me, I visit 2 dogs that I love as if they are mine, and the staff doesn't mind sharing them with me. The bus driver takes us to all kinds of different things; having so many things to do like bingo makes my world happier."
