"I chose Victory Centre of Roseland for my aunt because I just fell in love with it. It is very welcoming and pleasant. Every employee that I came across was very nice. Now that my aunt is there, they are so helpful with her. I'm so happy she's getting around OK. She loves them. She told me how everybody is so nice to her and how they speak to her. They call her by her name, and that is important to her. The place is lovely and just friendly. She is doing well going to the dining room. She is loving it because it is so close by. The moment she steps off the elevator, the dining room is right there. Her apartment is not far from the elevators, too. It's just so convenient. They do movies, and they have a salon. They have just been really helpful."

"I went to Victory Center and had a tour because a lot of other people recommended it to me to check them out, so that’s what I did. I liked what I saw, and the staff was great. I spoke with the residents there, and they liked it there. The atmosphere was really nice and loving. There are a lot of activities for them to do there. They have a pool table, and they have a sewing class and arts and crafts. "

"Dad’s wife was in a hospital and we had to put him somewhere immediately, so we put him in an assisted living facility called Tinley Court. We considered the location and availability. He goes back and forth to meal time, and other than that, the only exercise or activity he is getting is when one of my brothers or myself go there and take him walking down the hallway or out of the building. They are not there to give him physical fitness; they’re there to assist him in living. "

"The residents have individual rooms and a wonderful well kept common area and kitchen. In summer months there is a great front porch and outdoor area in the backyard where residents can gather. The staff is very caring putting residents needs first. My father was in a larger facility where he was just a body. Here he is treated as an individual. He is cared for and loved by the two hearts staff. A smaller home is the way to go for the individual loving care you would want for your aging loved one."

"My mom was released from a rehab facility before having the medical equipment in place to continue her quality of life. The staff went above and beyond to work with other companies to get my mom the tests and medical equipment she needed. Mom is in the process of recovering but would have ended up back in the hospital, if it was not for the quick response and resources of Bickford. Thank you for all your help."

"Brookdale Orland Park was beautiful. It had nice amenities, and it's nice and clean. It seemed like there's a lot of activities. It was a little out of my price range. I could afford it but only for a year, so that wouldn't do. It was gorgeous. Based on my husband's needs, it would be between $6000 and $8000. I've seen two empty rooms, and I've seen one that was furnished and very, very clean. The dining was very clean. They had a sauna, a spa room, a room for men to work with like for activities, a dayroom that's gorgeous, and they had a simulated cat that they can pet or a dog and even a baby. It was very nice. If he's assessed at $6000, maybe I could afford that, but if he would need more care than that, then it would be too much money, but it was gorgeous and very, very nice. I would consider going there for assisted living. The person in charge was wonderful. She made shadowboxes for the residents there with their life in the shadowbox with pictures and stuff, and it was very, very nice. I talked to the finance girl and she was nice. I talked to a couple of nurses and the person in charge at that unit, and they were very, very nice, the receptionist was, too."

"I've had my dad for a short stay at Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park. We were very happy with it, my dad has no complaints. It's a newer facility, around five years old, so it was new and everything's updated. The people seemed to be loving and caring and everything seemed to be in order. The staff seemed to be very caring, and there was a nurse who made sure that my dad takes his medication. They seemed to be very thorough and it was a beautiful facility. During the few times I was there to visit my dad, they have groups of people doing activities. They had a TV in a common room where they were singing along to songs and doing different things for memory care. They're working with the people there, so they weren't just sitting in a chair doing nothing. They weren't any more expensive compared to anyone else, they were the average price. They have a beauty salon available on the premises and they have an outdoor terrace that they can go out on."

"I had a one-bedroom unit apartment in Victorian Village with a kitchenette, a huge closet, and a bath. I was able to stay there and could visit my husband in the rehab unit. The staff was absolutely outstanding. I was spoiled. It was an absolutely beautiful community with excellent home-cooked food. "

"My grandmother currently lives in Marian Village. She enjoys it. She is in independent living right now. She enjoys the social interaction with the community events and activities and such. She is active with the chapel there, and the services for the community three times a week. She is also on a few planning committee things for the residents there. I found the staff to be friendly."

"Heritage Woods of Manteno is state-owned and they accept Medicaid. The facility is very nice; even the people are very nice. It is a clean place. The staff who assisted me was very accommodating. I am transferring to this facility because the other facility I am in now is costing me too much money. "

"Residences at Coffee Creek is a good one. It doesn't require the normal buy-in for a place that will give you all the services you need until you die. Beautiful facility. Clean. Friendly people. Just very nice. It looks more like a hotel than a residence for senior citizens. They have a fitness center, a beauty salon, a wonderful dining area, and a beautiful walking path outside. Mainly it's just a nice place to be in. I saw the menu, and it looked really good. There's lots of variety, but we weren't able to sample any food. The staff who showed us around was the best one that we've ever talked to. She was very knowledgeable. She had started there when the place was actually under construction, she was working for them. She was very pleasant. She seemed caring. I would recommend anybody talk to her to get information about Residences at Coffee Creek. They're well-staffed and they have registered nurses there. You would be hooked up with your nurse practitioner who works for them if you need it. They had a nursing station on every floor which was impressive if you need it of course because it ranges from independent living apartments all the way to total care."
