"The residents have individual rooms and a wonderful well kept common area and kitchen. In summer months there is a great front porch and outdoor area in the backyard where residents can gather. The staff is very caring putting residents needs first. My father was in a larger facility where he was just a body. Here he is treated as an individual. He is cared for and loved by the two hearts staff. A smaller home is the way to go for the individual loving care you would want for your aging loved one."

"I chose Brookdale Valparaiso for mom, because of the caring people. Everyone I talked to and everyone that I dealt with just had my mom's best interests at heart all the way. She's been there a week now and they're just taking wonderful care of her. I am really happy to have found a place for her that treats her so well and takes such good care of her. The facility itself is very nice. It's not brand new, but they have very quality and nice suites. Plus the place smells fresh. The food is wonderful. My mom can't comment enough about how good it is. She's been participating in a daily exercise routine, on a trivia night, and in physical therapy. Right now, they're getting her set up with bingo. So, they're keeping her very busy."

"I liked Prairie Green at Dixie Crossing. Their apartments were beautiful. They had bathroom facilities and a little kitchen area that my sister could use; even the studio apartment was lovely. The dining area was nice too. The people seemed to interact with the residents, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. They also had activities like the regular bingo and outings. They were friendly and helpful, especially the director."

"They say it takes a village to raise a child. It also takes a village to care for an aging loved one. At Valparaiso Senior Village they live up to this expectation in the best way possible. From the kind, caring, hands on Executive Director to the welcoming receptionist at the front desk, their “resident focus” rings loud and clear. When our father lost his bride of 64 years, we knew he could no longer live on his own. We toured several local assisted living facilities. While they were all nice, VSV really stood out. Nestled in a country setting, with handsome amenities, nice rooms, excellent food, and activities for everyone….it very quickly became home for our father. The biggest differentiator, however, was truly the people. From our first visit up to today, each encounter with their team members has been outstanding. During weekly visits, it became readily clear that the nurses, aides, kitchen crew, maintenance team, and activities director all knew their jobs very well. But, more importantly they all knew our dad. Each called him by his name, and were attentive to his needs, likes and preferences. The care has been consistent and exceptional. Dad calls them his “Super Team.” I cannot tell you how many times my siblings and I have turned to each other on our visits and said, “I am so glad we chose this place.” Dad enjoyed his time in assisted living for over a year and a half. Recently, based on candid, caring and accurate feedback from the staff at VSV, we transitioned him to memory care. This was a time of uncertainly for our family. However, the expert team at VSV guided us step by step and made the move comfortable and painless for all of us. They handled the whole move from his one-bedroom apartment in assisted living to his new studio in memory care. On the day of the move, the family took our dad out for an outing. When we returned, we went straight to his new studio apartment. All his favorite furniture and possessions were in place. Pictures were hung on the wall. His recliner and comforter were waiting for him….and the TV was hung on the wall and functioning. Our dad especially liked that they had hung his beloved Green Bay Packers sign back over his new door. Once again, he was home! They also permitted us to put up a birdfeeder outside his window to keep him connected with the outdoors. Since moving to MC, the care and ongoing commitment to our father continues to exceed our expectation. We know in our hearts, it was a good move for him, and we cannot thank the entire team at VSV enough."

"Residences at Coffee Creek is an outstanding and beautiful place for our dad. His recent move to his memory care apartment has been an extremely positive experience. The staff has been wonderful with taking care of his move -especially Natalie who has been awesome with the communication and the excellent attention to our dad's needs. I have consistently been informed how well our dad is doing and how much they enjoy having him there. Most importantly, he is happy, healthy and well cared for. We feel so blessed that he has such compassionate caregivers who go above and beyond to help him adjust wonderfully to his new surroundings. I am very grateful for all of the wonderful staff at Coffee Creek! "

"Sunrise of Flossmoor was very cozy. When you drive in, it's a little bit back off of the road. It's very clean, and I would say very inviting. The rooms I saw were very nice and very well kept. I was shown two rooms. One was a shared suite. It was very, very nicely decorated. It was bright, and for me that counts for a lot. It was very impressive, wide open, and very nicely decorated. The staff member was a retired fireman. He was very nice, well informed, and took me step by step through the tour. It was good. He also had a dog. It was a very nice and older dog. It went with us throughout the tour. The dog was also a favorite of the patrons there to pet. I did see a menu, which I thought was interesting and varied enough. I did see the dining area. It was nice. It's a very inviting place, and the dining room lived up to that as well. It was just very nicely laid out. It was bright, and the place was very well-kept."

"Sunrise Villa Olympia Fields was beautiful. Everything was beautiful. I don't have anything bad to say about Sunrise. The receptionist was warm and greeted us when we walked in. The place was very clean, and the people seemed friendly. The different amenities that they offer were outstanding. It was a great experience. After the tour was over, the young lady who took us on the tour gave me banana bread, which was outstanding. She said the cook makes the banana bread every morning and it was too cute to even eat. The staff told me all about the different things they have. They have movie night every night, restaurant-style dining, and coffee 24 hours a day in the lobby. They got two ponds out there, ducks swimming, and a lot of nature scenery around. It's just beautiful. They have the games and stuff you could play and the bus will take you to the grocery store five days a week. They even have a primary care doctor on-site, so you wouldn't have to travel. If you wanted to change primary care doctors, you could and you would stay right there because the doctor comes right to that facility, so I thought that was a plus. I just wished I had more money because then I could move into one of their townhomes, but that's over $4000 a month, so I couldn't afford it."

"Charter Senior Living of Hazel Crest was very clean. I do not think that it was as beautiful as the other facility we looked at, but the people were very nice and pleasant. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They tried to make a difference and I appreciate that. The residents seemed very happy and comfortable The facility was very nice and accommodating. There were things for the residents to do. They did not have a separate unit for memory care, so they tried to merge all the residents together, which is good, to try and keep them active. I just do not think that the cost is appropriate for what I saw there."

"This place is just wonderful My dad is so happy and I feel so much better knowing that my dad is safe and In good hands This place is safe all around and extra clean The food is also just delicious And it’s served restaurant style My dad loves his apartment Style room it’s very roomy With his own key Oh yeah and all the residents where a call button so if they need anything just push the bottom With central air and heat The staff is very nice and caring There is some type of activity going on everyday so no need to hang in your room all day Making sure my dad is well taking care of everyday I’m so excited to have my dad in a new place to call home And they have so much to offer Check them out you want be disappointed Tell them I sent you "

"I had an in-person tour of the Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge. I like the friendliness. The lady let us talk to some of the people that live there, and they were very friendly. They told me about all the different activities that they do. They go out and do outings a lot. They have a garden if they plant. Talking to the actual residents was the best part of the whole tour. I could see my dad having a full life if he lived there and be able to interact with people and go to places. The staff was very nice and helpful. The way they have the dining area set up was nice. They take their orders like they're at a restaurant, and I like that as well. The residents said that the food was good."

"I toured the Victory Centre of Roseland. The staff was very engaging and very informative. He let me know what would take place while my dad stayed there, the activities, the meals, and the things that he would get. They have daily activities. They do laundry. They do housekeeping. The dining area was clean. It's open and spacious, and the people don't have to sit on top of each other."

"We visited Prairie Green at Fay's Point. It was very clean, the people were friendly, and it would have worked out, but my father-in-law decided not to go. We met the cook and the administrator, who were friendly and helpful. The grounds were very pretty, and the location was good. We saw them working with the people playing a game, and that was going pretty well. They have an activity board up on a wall, so people know what's going on, and it looked full to me."

"I had my mom moved in here to the memory section at this facility at the beginning of March 2026. My daughter Yasmine helped me find this Place and I'm writting this great review to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation towards some of the Directors and CNA'S that I have been in contact with that has made this move such a pleasant experience starting off with Cecilia, She has been a complete sweetheart throughout this whole process made the paper work and documents needed move so quickly always willing to answer any of my questions quickly and so pleasant to deal with all others that I have met so far have also showed me their kindness and Compassion like Dineitha, Laura, Tammy and a few of the CNAs that I have met so far like Cynthia, Mercedez even one of the resident name Julia that has assisted my mom with the language translation . This place is so clean always smelling so fresh and so much light and from the moment you walk in this place every CNA have a smile on their face so helpful I feel such a sense of security and peace of mind having my mom at this facility . I love it here and Thank you so much ."

"I visited this facility looking for a placement for my wife. I focused on the memory care unit which is in a large circle design so a resident can simply keep going and eventually come back to their own room. I was impressed with this facility, especially the staff. This was the first memory care facility I visited and the staff was very patient in explaining many of its features in a way that was useful in my other site visits. The staff, including the marketing people giving the tours referred to people by their names and stopped and talked to them along the way. Management personnel are included in actually running some activities in the facility with the residents. The facility is fairly new (July 2016) but already seems to be well organized with its staff and procedures in place. While the pricing structure for the Assisted Living portion is based on levels of care needs and room styles, the memory care is based on a flat fee structure with one style of room. "
