The residents of Heartis Orland Park are a vibrant and active group. From filling up our dining room for each meal to attending Vibrant Life Programming, our residents enjoy interacting with each other and staying busy. A few of their favorite activities include Blackjack, BINGO, Thirsty Thursday, Pinochle, outings on our bus, Gardening Club, and Men's Club just to name a few. Heartis welcomes residents of all abilities and interests. Average age of our residents is approximately 83 years old.

Heartis Orland Park offers a variety of Vibrant Life Programming. Our programming offers activities to meet not only the social needs of our residents, but also the spiritual, religious, family, and wellness needs of our residents. Heartis Orland Park offers the residents who live in our Generations neighborhood a variety of activities based on their level of function and interests. Activities in Generations are failure free and include cognitive/mental stimulation, fine and gross motor skills, social activities; cultural /religious activities; sensory activities; and individual/group activities. Activities are planned to encompass the residents’ personal preferences, age, beliefs, culture, values, attention span, and life experiences. Some of the favorite activities in Generations are Morning Meeting, Taste Testing, Baking, Social Hours, Balloon Tennis, and Crafts. Heartis Orland Park is conveniently located in Orland Park, near Tinley Park, Palos Heights, Frankfort and Mokena. Heartis is located within walking distance to St Julie Billiart Roman Catholic Church, Portillo's, McDonalds, Freddy's Frozen Custard, Home Depot, and Oberweis Ice Cream.

Heartis Orland Park offers transportation to and from local medical appointments throughout the week as well as bus outings to local restaurants and shopping. Bus transportation is free of charge and included in rental fees.

Meals are offered in our Generations Dining Room with supervision and assistance. Meals are presented on a bright colored plate as a visual cue and to provide contrasting color to the food. Noise in the dinging room is minimized and soft music plays to create a calm, relaxed environment. Stimulation is kept to a minimum. Staff are available and provide physical assistance with meals and/or cuing or supervision. Staff are trained to allow the resident to do as much for themselves as possible while providing assistance as needed. Heartis Orland Park also accommodates altered diets such as mechanical soft or puree, as well as thickened liquids.

Heartis Orland Park's Elevate dining program is lead by our Culinary Services Director, Adam Heck. Adam has over 17 years experience in the Culinary Arts field. Adam graduated Culinary Arts school and has experience in fine dining, banquets, and senior living. Adam has a passion for ensuring the residents at Heartis have their choices heard and executed. Adam develops the seasonal menus with direct feedback from the residents ensuring their preferences and choices drive the options presented. The residents who live at Heartis also make the dining experience exceptional. The residents at Heartis enjoy socializing at each meal and create a welcoming, and engaging dining room. You can expect to see the dining room full of residents chatting and enjoying their meal and each others company.

Heartis Orland Park offers a consistent level of high quality care and services for our residents. One way we accomplish this by excellent communication and availability of our team. From our Wellness Nurses to our Generations Program Director, to the Executive Director we strive to ensure families are up to date with important information regarding their loved one and their care. The Generations Program Director sends regular emails and phone calls with changes to resident's service plans and assessments. Our Executive Director sends regular community updates via email to all residents and their families. All residents and families are provided with a list of managers and their email addressed upon move in. The community and it's managers also holds regular Town Hall meetings with residents and families. Residents who may require assistance with wandering or monitoring for elopement reside in the secure area of the community. In the Generations neighborhood the exit doors are secure, as well as camera's are located on the exit doors and some common areas.
