"I have toured Tinley Court for my dad and it was wonderful. It's older but very clean and very quaint, and the rooms were beautiful and also very clean. The person who gave me the tour, Jana, was wonderful and very helpful. Their dining area looked really good. When I got there, they were doing exercises as a group in the chairs, and it just seemed like a good community for the seniors."

"I would say it is excellent. The layout is very conducive to my mom having to use a wheelchair and needing assistance at times. The care that I've observed is excellent. The staff is extremely friendly, kind, and willing to go out of their way to help. My mom reports that the food is delicious and she has no complaints or concerns. She's in their assisted living and she has used the salon. The woman there was very helpful and accommodating. She even stayed longer to give my mom a haircut so we appreciate that she worked around my mom's schedule. I think it's a wonderful community for someone that needs assistance. It also offers various levels of care. My mom is highly functional, so she doesn't require as much assistance but knowing that somebody is there when she needs assistance is comforting."

"I toured Marian Village. They were a little less expensive, but the place itself just seemed so vibrant, alive, energetic, and bright. The place seemed very new and very updated. When you walked in, you were welcomed by the person at the front desk. The price, I think we could handle. The tough part is they require an entrance fee of $90,000. I have noticed reviews that are not too high, but when I did the tour, they had like a little bistro, and some residents were having omelets and things like that, and the food smelled amazing. They have a lot of events. They had a nice exercise room. They had laundry on each floor and seemed to have more dining areas. They give 400 points per month, and each point is equal to a dollar. You can use those points in the cafeteria or the dining area, and they don't carry over to the next month. They kind of give you an allotment, and then if you go over that, you start to pay. Mary Beth gave me the tour. She knew all the residents. She's very good and very thorough. Everything was so clean. There wasn't a spot on the carpeting. There wasn't a whole lot of carpeting. There was more of the vinyl plank flooring type of things. The dining room was set for dinner, and they had cloth napkins, glasses, and silverware. Everything seemed to be clean. Throughout the whole tour inside the rooms, in the laundry rooms, or the dining area, there was no stale odor or anything like that as you toured it. It was very clean, not like bleach clean or anything like that. It was just a fresh, clean environment."

"It is like a family there! A kind, Christian community. My uncle and aunt were cared for so very well and they were happy there to the very end of their lives. Our family highly recommend them!"

"Sunrise was very nice, but I noticed they listed the prices by the week rather than the month unlike the other places that I visited. They didn't show me what I was looking for. They showed me one room that was for two people in a space that I would have for one person. I assumed the one I was looking for were all occupied. Actually, they were fully occupied. However, I thought they had a space that I would want to occupy, and it wasn't just a room. The staff was very nice. "

"Sunrise Villa Olympia Fields was a very nice community. Their apartments were very nice. They have a dining room, hair salon, laundry facilities, activities for the residents and church services. They also have entertainment, church services, and there are also activities like an art class. The staff is very friendly."

"Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge was very nice. I had a guided tour, and I also had the chance to chat with some of the residents. It was a lovely facility. "

"I've noticed that Charter Senior Living of Hazel Crest doesn't have enough staff to keep up with the changing of adult undergarments. The smell can be a bit offensive at times, but I like the professionalism of the senior staff and the care provided to our mom. When we ask them to address her needs, they're very responsive. They also do a good job of keeping the facility free of clutter (again, the only thing that I observed is mostly the odor from the residents). They appear to have some type of cleaning schedule. So, sometimes it's OK and sometimes it's not, and I understand that. I know that it's not going to be as if everyone who lived there was in a state of maintaining their own physical needs as far as bathing and toileting. I understand that people come and go. Only so many people can do so much at a time. If they just have more staff, that doesn't necessarily mean those odor issues will go away, I would speculate that it possibly would be improved. I know there's no guarantee about that."

"We moved Mom in last Friday to Sunrise of Flossmoor. It was OK and looked fine. Mom requires high level of care. It’s well maintained and reminds me of a bed and breakfast. "

"As A Rehabilitation Specialist, I had the pleasure of assisting my students in a internship that lasted a few months. Upon entering you cant help but notice the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. Franciscsan Village also showed exemplary performance in the area of activities that involved the residents and kept them fully attentive throughtout all programs. Francisan Village also has plenty of activities geared toward alzheimer patients that helps them with memory recognition and everyday living. One of the most troubling situations I have known over the years with nursing homes were how soon residents were taken care of after acccidents. Franciscan Village has a response team that seem to respond immediately to all acccidental situtation. that required attention such as clean ups etc. Overall in conclusion I would have to say anyone who may be looking for a nursing home and assisted living in the Lemont ,Ill area Franciscan Village comes highly recomendded and suggested to visit first before all others. "StoryPoint Romeoville was very nice and had very friendly people. We just thought that it was a little too busy for my mom. It was a very nice facility, but there were a lot of people. What I liked about the other two facilities I went to was that there were fewer residents. So, it just seems like maybe the care would be better. Not that I got the impression that the care would be any less at StoryPoint Romeoville, but I just liked that they were smaller communities. The dining area was very nice, clean, and organized. The staff was very nice and informative. We met a few people there. They had a salon, an exercise room, a doctor's office, and an exercise pool for physical therapy. It was nice outside and at the entrance. There were flowers and people sitting outside enjoying themselves."

"I toured. It was clean. One of the families was in the bingo room and her mom, so we could look at her room. They took us through the ladies room, and it looked homey in there. The family had done a nice job at setting that up. Everybody there was super friendly, super nice, especially the one who showed us around. She was just a sweetheart. The layout looked good and it didn't feel like a nursing home."

"A wonderful concept of providing care. Instead of being an institutional environment, it is a comfortable single-family home that has been designed for this purpose. My grandmother loved the fact that she lived in a single family home, with three other residents, while getting all the help that she needed. I would recommend Golden Age to anyone who is looking for a place that offers assisted living. Like they claim...at Golden Age you don't live in a home, you live at home."
