"A friend of mine lives in Park Place at St. John, so I know about the place from visiting her. She's in independent living. It's nice, they offer meals, and activities. The apartment she's in is really nice too, and the staff was really nice. They have the dining room where you sit and order your food, things like that. It has amenities, and stuff like that, it's very nice too. My friend is in a one-bedroom, with a nice, large bathroom. The living room is a nice size, and the bedroom is a nice size. The closet is a little walk-in closet, and the shower is very nice. She has someone that comes and cleans once a week. Everything's included, I believe, except for your phone bill. The cable is included. It's very nice, and she really likes it. She had a duplex home, and she downsized a little bit to that, and she really likes it. She doesn't miss taking care of a home. I've actually had dinner with her a couple of times. They can have a guest there, and you pay a little fee, I think it's $10 or $12, and you can sit down in the dining room and have dinner with them. So, I've done that, and that was nice. The staff greets you at the door; they were very nice. She goes to aerobics classes, they have arts and crafts that I've seen, and they have a bible study. I think she pays under $3,000 a month to stay there."

"I visited The Waters of Hobart. They were very friendly. It seemed very accommodating and clean, and they could handle his medical needs. The rooms are double occupancy. So, he would have a roommate, but I think that's a good thing to have someone else with him that he can talk to. The rooms seem very nice. They have activities like bingo and some other games and gatherings that they do."

"Driving up to this facility, it doesn't look like much. Once inside you will find a friendly and caring staff. This is a clean and orderly facility. There s no "nursing home" smell. Patient rooms are small with two beds each. It is mostly quiet, with occasional outbursts by a few patients. Bathrooms are kept clean. The food is very good; it tastes like homemade meals. Most residents enjoy their meals in the dining room. Residents are encouraged to participate in daily every classes, and other activities. The PT/OT staff are excellent. The PT/OT equipment is well maintained, and is only underfunded the direct supervision by the PT/OT staff. Daily therapy sessions are carefully planned and carried out. Patients progress at their own pace. "

"My mom had fallen and fractured her hip, she had surgery, and so we decided to put her in Symphony of Dyer for more rehab. It was pretty good, but my mom didn't last there long. She passed away, but the short amount of time that she was there, it was satisfactory. The staff was friendly and available. My mom had to have the pureed food. The place was very nice and clean. The outside looked very nice. I liked the way it was. It was a good location because we had one sister that lived close to Dyer. It was a nice area."
