"A friend of mine lives in Park Place at St. John, so I know about the place from visiting her. She's in independent living. It's nice, they offer meals, and activities. The apartment she's in is really nice too, and the staff was really nice. They have the dining room where you sit and order your food, things like that. It has amenities, and stuff like that, it's very nice too. My friend is in a one-bedroom, with a nice, large bathroom. The living room is a nice size, and the bedroom is a nice size. The closet is a little walk-in closet, and the shower is very nice. She has someone that comes and cleans once a week. Everything's included, I believe, except for your phone bill. The cable is included. It's very nice, and she really likes it. She had a duplex home, and she downsized a little bit to that, and she really likes it. She doesn't miss taking care of a home. I've actually had dinner with her a couple of times. They can have a guest there, and you pay a little fee, I think it's $10 or $12, and you can sit down in the dining room and have dinner with them. So, I've done that, and that was nice. The staff greets you at the door; they were very nice. She goes to aerobics classes, they have arts and crafts that I've seen, and they have a bible study. I think she pays under $3,000 a month to stay there."

"Spring Mill Health Campus was excellent. The rooms were very clean and had up-to-date furniture. The food was very delicious. The staff explained everything very clearly and knew her business. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the place."

"Beecher Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation was very good. I liked it a lot. The physical therapy was great. They were very helpful and caring and I felt well cared for. It helped me get on track and get back home. The nursing care was good, and the personnel were good. My room was wonderful. It was a double room, but it was large enough so it felt like a private room. I was not sharing a closet or anything else with anybody else. There was another patient adjacent to me in another room. We shared the bathroom, but she was bedridden, so I had a private bathroom. That was the second time I was there. They had a lot of activities, but I didn't do that much. I know there was a movie every Sunday, and they had ice cream every Monday and Wednesday. The food was pretty good. I liked it. We went to bingo once, but they had other activities during the week."

"Lincolnshire is an amazing facility with a lot to offer. I am impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the perky and polite staff. The location is also convenient and easy to get to. "

"We went on a tour, and Golden Livingcenter looked like it would be the place for my mother-in-law because she has dementia, and they have a dementia unit. The room was spacious, but there was no kitchenette, and the bathroom was kept separate; it was not in the same room. It also looked very clean. There were several dining areas, and they looked fine. They had quite a few activities for the people. The staff was very polite and very nice. "

"My mom had fallen and fractured her hip, she had surgery, and so we decided to put her in Symphony of Dyer for more rehab. It was pretty good, but my mom didn't last there long. She passed away, but the short amount of time that she was there, it was satisfactory. The staff was friendly and available. My mom had to have the pureed food. The place was very nice and clean. The outside looked very nice. I liked the way it was. It was a good location because we had one sister that lived close to Dyer. It was a nice area."

They were all aware of my grandmother's condition and always took the time to educate us on what we can do to make it easier on her. "Mom was at Highland Nursing and Rehab for a couple of weeks. This was 10 minutes away from my house. We took a tour on the facility and we liked it that's why we chose it for mom. It’s a small rehab center and there weren’t many patients and that was nice. The place was clean. They had bingo in the evening and they have trips that would take the residents. The rehab center was small and I wouldn’t go to rehab there because they were limited. Mom said the food was okay, but mom is very picky about her food. I think they need to improve on their food and more activities, maybe. "
