"Celebrate Senior Living of Niles was very nice and very clean. They were very attentive to the residents that were there. The rooms there were very clean and were fairly large. I did not try their food, but their dining area was very nice. It was very bright, and it was just nice to see all of them sitting together eating. The staff was very nice, very informative, and very positive. They had a music group going, and it just had a lot of people in and out, going in busses for more of the assisted living, but people generally seemed very happy there."

"I'm moving into Amazing Grace Senior Living. I like it. It's close to home. I'm giving it a 5 because of the care they show there. It's new. The people are happy, too. The staff member who assisted me was Susan, and she was good. I tried their food, and it was good. I was hungry, and I missed lunch, so they gave me a sandwich. It was a tasty sandwich, better than anything I got at the other place. The rooms were adequate. At the other place, you get a two-room suite, but at Amazing Grace, it is a fairly small room, but it has a private bath and a nice window."

"We visited Belmont Village of Glenview for my parents. We love this facility. The reason we liked it is because they would allow my parents to stay on the same room, but they have different programs like my mom can go to their circle of friends for memory care and my dad is independent. We also liked that they have an all-inclusive plan. They have a geriatrician staff and that is important and they have a licensed nurse staff 24 hours a day and these are important to us because of my mom. Their dining area is very nice and cozy. We looked at their menus and they are very healthy and they looked good with many choices. The rooms are kind of small, but their prices are very competitive. "

"My brother moved to The Wellshire Morton Grove. When I walked in, I was greeted very nicely. The community was very cheerful and had a warm feeling when I walked in. The service is very satisfactory. They ask a lot of questions about his well-being. They checked all his medications. They were very thorough. They have a barbershop. They also have a library. They have a big TV room and they have an exercise room. The dining area is very nice and the food is good."

"My parents-in-law are in Norwood Crossing in an area called Norwood Park in Chicago. My mother-in-law just moved in yesterday and my father-in-law has been there for two months in rehabilitation. They have both been appreciating and enjoying the activities there for about a month. They are very friendly there and they're getting good care. The staff are very involved in the well being of the residents. It's a wonderful place and I would recommend this facility to others. "

"I toured it and that was lovely. It seemed very active, too. A lot of things were going on when I was there. However, religiously my mom is very Catholic, and there's a majority of Jewish people there, so it just didn't seem like it was going to be a good fit permanently. The place itself was lovely, and the people and the residents seemed like they were happy and all that, so that was good. The apartment was nice too."

"The Moorings of Arlington Heights was a very nice facility. It was out in the suburbs, and it was on a very large campus. It was a very upscale place, and they redo everything when you move in. They had large grounds. There was a lot of space. The person who gave us the tour was very helpful and very pleasant. "

"My father-in-law is here now. It just works out well. They have a memory care center that my mother-in-law could go into and then assisted living for my father-in-law, so it's just a good fit for them. My father-in-law seems to be happy. We can't visit him but everything is going well. He really likes the food. It's been really good. I think my father-in-law is very happy with the staff."

"My mother in law intends on going here after our visit there. The tour was very good, my mother in law liked it, and she went to visit it twice. They have a whole list of activities like sing-alongs, the rosary that my mother in law is interested in, and Bingo. They do have a hair salon on the premise, and you can sign up and go out on community visits and all sorts of things. The grounds are nice, there’s a nice garden with a little play area for children, a nice gathering area when you walk into the building, and a very nice dining room. "

"My brother is at the Victory Centre of Galewood. It is geared more to people that can take care of themselves. I found the staff, the CNAs, and everyone to be very conscientious and nice. Occasionally, I am disappointed though because some of the staff in the wellness department call even if they know that I work during the day. So, I'll call them back immediately, but that individual was not available anymore and you don't get a callback. You have to continue to call them or to go over their head, but that's only to some of the representatives in the wellness department, not all of them. They care about their residents and my brother. His health has deteriorated somewhat and they made an exception and got him into rehab. He's had several falls, but they didn't immediately say, "One more fall and you're out." So, they do try to work with him first. Some of them are exceptional and he seems to like the food too. With COVID, I think a lot of stuff has been cut down. They have movies, a gym, and a lot more. They don't have a good parking facility for family members. It's very difficult to park in that area and I believe the garage that they have is meant for some of the residents. The rooms are large enough. There is a small kitchenette, a microwave, and a normal size fridge. The bathroom is extremely wide. It's flexible for a person with a disability, a wheelchair, or walker. They're pretty good. However, I think it's a good neighborhood. The majority of it is residential. There are parks nearby and a community center. Then on the other side, it's more business-like, there are restaurants and the like, so the residents that are more mobile can go out and get food. There is a barbershop around the corner as well. It's a pretty good community. I feel that my brother's safe."

"My aunt will move into the Victory Centre of River Woods. I find that all these places are very high, but with Victory Centre, they have a Medicaid program, and hopefully, that's going to help my aunt stay there. This apartment looks very nice. It's very clean. The people were nice. We did see the dining area, and it looked legit. They showed us their workout room, game room, and theater room, which is the same as the game room. They take the seniors out to a shop and little getaways for the month they had listed, so I thought it was very nice."
