I would give a minus 5 stars if I could. My mom lived here for a little over a year. Shortly after moving in, the management changed - so did everything else. Mom constantly complained about the food being terrible. Residents constantly were allowed to harass my mother all hours of the day and night. My mom was a smoker and multiple residents came to her begging cigarettes. We reported this to management multiple times. Their response "they are all adults, they need to manage this themselves". We were very clear that she did not have this capability. We were clear about her alzheimer's/dementia when we moved her in. They assured us they could care for all her needs. The onsite nursing team is a joke. Mom needed ear drops, "we can 't do those-family needs to come in". Could not even give an ice pack when my mom had a bad fall. On the subzero temp days mom was not warned to stay in, went outside and had to have ambulance called twice. When the ER needed critical info RN could not be reached. ER doc stated this has never happened to her before. We moved mom to a new place where she is thriving. I strongly advise anyone considering placing a loved one here to really give it some thought. What you are told and what actually happens is very different.

Victory Centre of Elk Grove is going to be the last place I live. I wanted something that would grow with me because they have assisted living too. That's why I chose them. They are nice. They had a library. They also had activities that you could go to all day. They have nice balconies for the summertime. They also accept pets. It's good upkeep and it's clean.

My mother in law intends on going here after our visit there. The tour was very good, my mother in law liked it, and she went to visit it twice. They have a whole list of activities like sing-alongs, the rosary that my mother in law is interested in, and Bingo. They do have a hair salon on the premise, and you can sign up and go out on community visits and all sorts of things. The grounds are nice, there’s a nice garden with a little play area for children, a nice gathering area when you walk into the building, and a very nice dining room.

We liked it very much. Every person was so accommodating. They tried to follow through and checked back with us. Everyone was wonderful. I will absolutely recommend it.

I liked the location but I did not like the facility as much as the others. The staff were helpful and friendly.
