"The Voyage Senior Living Marion North provides three meals a day and plenty of snacks. They got good people there. You can visit as much as you want to, so there's no limit on when and how often you can visit. The staff seemed very nice. They were caring people. It is a place that I think my sister will be very content and happy with. The apartment we saw was spacious. It had a sitting room, a bedroom, and a fully handicap-accessible bath with a walk-in shower and shower bars. It had a friendly atmosphere and I was pleased with it. They have a lot of activities. They take them out on day outings for those that want to go. They also have a gathering space, books, and a room where the staff keeps it stocked with items so residents can shop there for the things they need."

"I visited the other facilities. The rooms are larger compared to the other facilities of similar range. Staff is very pleasant and supportive. Multiple activities indoors-out doors are available for the residents. They have a salon, spa, movie theater, store, very large dining hall and activity area, I am very impresses with the cleanliness of the place. Kitchen was extremely clean and quite large. Freshly prepared meals are offered to the residents. I feel it is the best facility in Marion area,"

"I am at the Voyage Senior Living of Herrin. I am receiving medicine maintenance and baths. It's being locked down because of Covid, and it's almost a year this coming March. We don't have enough to do here, so I'd like more things to do. It is an older building, and they have not kept it up that good. We have a beauty shop, we have coloring, bingo, and sometimes entertainment, but it's not as much as we used to have. We have transportation, but not as much as we used to have. Instead of us going into the shop and getting our stuff ourselves, we have to order it now and they will pick it up for us. We are not allowed to go out. The staff is real friendly, and they care. If the staff is not good here, they won't last long."

"We toured the Fifth Season of Benton for my parents. My mother liked that all the residents appeared to be happy, and she liked the size of the apartment. We liked the whole place, and it was all nice, but those were two things that she indicated right off. I think they have therapy that comes in. They also had the the workout room, a family room, and outside areas. They also offered me all the meals and snacks throughout the day. The staff members were all very nice. I saw the owner and the lady that gave us the tour. They were five stars. The place was very nice, very neat, and very clean. It's laid out really nice. I think they take them out to like different places for the day. They go to Walmart, too. They have church there and they take them shopping if they need to go shopping. They play bingo, they have games set out all the time, and they have a puzzle room."

"Heritage Woods of Benton is very clean, seems safe and they can do your medicines. My mother will have people take care of her, but yet still have some freedom because it's assisted living. They've got three meals a day, and they will do her laundry. The rooms were big and cozy, and I like that the bathroom was in the bedroom. They've got a mini refrigerator, a microwave, a sink, and a kitchenette."

"The Landings at Reed Station Crossing is a new facility, maybe a few years old. It has a beautiful lake at the back. It has a koi pond. It has a vegetable garden where the residents can go out and take care of the garden like they would at home. They were able to plant flowers in the spring and they could go out and take care of them and weed them, just like they would in their backyard or front yard. The courtyard was very nice in the back and the front. It seemed like the residents were very happy there. They have a movie theater, an exercise room, and laundry rooms on each wing. They have very nice spacious rooms. I looked at the more private-type room because that's what I was looking for. It's super nice. They have an activities director, they do craft things and they all looked really cute. I didn't see them making them, but I saw what they had made. They could take them to their rooms and they were very cute. They had just about anything that you would want for your loved one. They were very, very social people. They had private dining if you just wanted to have a birthday party for your loved one. It's a super nice place."

"We loved it they treated my aunt like family. She was depressed and would not eat but the staff there made sure that she ate at meal times. They also kept her company when no one could visit here. They are a grade a facility. "

"Prairie Living at Chautauqua and its people were very nice. It's an older facility, and the room was not as big as the others, but it's nicely arranged and had windows. The dining area was very nice and kept up well. The people there seemed to really like it. They had a library, a beauty shop, and a little game room, but the disadvantage was it's got two floors and it seemed to be quite a bit of walking for my grandmother."

"I would occasionally go to Big Muddy West to play bingo and I'd chat with the people who live over there. We have parties with them sometimes, and sometimes they come to ours. It is about the same as where I am at except that it is private pay and much harder to get into. The rooms might be a little larger as well as the refrigerators. There are 25 or so people living over there. "

"The lady at Harrisburg Villas of Holly Brook was very nice and helpful, took her time with us, and explained everything very well. It was all nice and clean. We got to look down the hallway and see the cafeteria. They haven't had a case of the virus there, so they're really careful about letting people in. The staff showed us the activities from January and February. They had church services, bingo and different things, and they had a nice little outdoor patio. The room was very clean, and it had the shower where you can sit down in and plenty of cabinet space in the bathroom and in the kitchen, but there's just a refrigerator, a microwave and a sink. They give three meals a day, and they got a snack bar."

"It's a much newer facility and it is beautiful. There was just one turn off for me with Autumn Ridge. My mother orders her medication online. She gets a three-month supply. It's much less expensive than if she had to go to a drugstore and buy it a month at a time. When they were talking about the medication, they said that all medicine had to be purchased through this local drugstore. That turned me off because she takes a lot of it. However, the staff was very pleasant and the place was very clean. "

"My Father & I visited her sister who's currently in Heritage Woods but he has not looked at it for himself. My Aunt likes the place very much. As far as I know she's in and out in the hospital quite frequently when she was home alone. Since she's been there it helped with that situation because she wasn't living alone anymore. She's been staying in this facility for over a year now. I can say she's very much treated very well with all the staff. "
