"The Charter Senior Living of Kenosha's grounds and the location were very nice. It seemed to be a pleasant place to live. They had pretty good-sized rooms. The only reason I didn't jump at going there is that I'm not sure there's enough care for my mom. The facility seems like an older building, which is fine. Some of the outdoor decks and things like that seemed a little dirty, but I'm not sure whose responsibility it is to clean that. In general, it seemed reasonably clean and well-maintained. There was a resident there who was very complimentary of her experience. I didn't see anything that raised a red flag or anything like that. They were very helpful. As a matter of fact, I had shown up without a specific appointment, and they were really accommodating. They took me around and showed me around quite a bit. It was great."

"Wynwood of Kenosha was a really nice place. The rooms were very nice, newly remodeled, and spacious. We ate there once and the food was excellent. The place was very clean. My mom didn't go there, but that's where we wanted her to go. "

"StoryPoint Libertyville is a very caring community. They make sure each individual is treated with dignity and respect. They have created a caring culture among the residents. They offer a wide variety of activities for people to participate in. This social interaction has been very beneficial for my mom. The rooms have been recently redone and provide a safe and home like feel. "

"The immediate feeling of this facility was that the location was optimal for our family and the grounds were well kept and relaxing. This was especially important for my grandmother's often day to day condition and the relaxing atmosphere facilitated more "good" days than "bad" and made her "bad" days less severe. The staff was knowledgeable and very accommodating, showing my family every aspect of their facility showing fully transparency of their operations. We immediately felt safe and welcome amongst the staff and fellow residents who seemed in good spirits and well cared for. We were shown the rooms, dining facilities, recreation areas and, most importantly, their state of the art medical facilities, which was an important concern for us. Our only minor complaint was that the room appointments were rather bare, but with a little tender love and care could be made more comfortable for my grandmother who has always been use to a very homely atmosphere. "

"I've had a very positive experience with Victory. The personnel have been both responsive and eager to meet my aunt's needs. She has had only good experiences with the nursing staff, the admin people, the front desk, the beauty shop, and the cleaning and maintence personnel. She has even started to join in some of the on-site activities, which range from educational type activities to entertainment and social events. She hasn't yet taken any of the many trips that are available, but I'm hopeful that she will. She likes her studio apartment and, generally speaking, likes the food. Not an easy approval since she was a restaurant owner. "

"Paradise Park Assisted Living and Memory Care is single story, and it has super nice homes. The level of care is super good. Just everything about it seems really warm and comfortable. The staff probably really cares about their residents because all of the residents are smiling. There are a lot of good activities going on. My mother has been there for about a month or two. It is a very comfortable home environment. The dining area is very nice, very nicely finished, they have a chef, and the food is really good. The facility is in excellent condition. "

"Sunrise of Buffalo Grove is nice, but they're highly priced. I loved their dining area. It's all assisted living, and I think it's the thing that kind of shocked my mother to make the change right now. She's still in independent living, and everyone there was assisted or memory care. The staff was great. The calendar of activities is limited because it's a smaller facility, and also no doctor visits there. There's a grocery store nearby, so there are things nearby. "

"It was the place that I liked the most. It felt like you were at a home. It was like you were going into a big house versus going into a facility. It seemed more comfortable and homelike. The staff was nice, friendly, pleasant and enjoying what they were doing. I liked the open setting with the kitchen because they were preparing food in the kitchen, and the people could sit and watch them. I did not try the food, but it smelled good, and the person preparing the food had been doing it for a number of years. "

"Sedgebrook is a very nice community. It is very posh. Their apartments are very lovely and you can furnish them on your own. The food is excellent. They have a wonderful chef. They served a delicious dinner during my visit there. Their dining room is beautiful. They also have buses to take you shopping. I like this community; however, it is a buy-in community and I couldn't afford that. Also it is a little too far from where I live. "

"My father was at Radford Green. I thought it was very good. We did not have any complaints. I thought the level of care was good. He was always well taken care of. He was fed, dressed, and cleaned well. He was only there for seven days. They had very nice, beautiful, well-appointed rooms. The food was very good. There were lots of things on the menu, and you could even eat in your room or the dining room. The kitchen had 24-hour availability, so family members could just walk to the kitchen area and get any snacks, cold drinks, or anything else for their loved ones. My father did some therapy, walking, and exercises. "

"My sister was living at Ciel Senior Living of Long Grove. It's very clean and very friendly. Their approach was excellent. Their food was sufficient, but it could use a variety. My sister's room was more than adequate. It's a nice size. She was in one with a bedroom, a front room, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. They did Scrabble and bingo, and they went out for lunch."

"My mom was happier when she was at Sunrise of Highland Park. She was always smiling. She was doing something rather than sitting around. They loved telling a story. She would go out for lunch. She would go on shopping. She was not miserable. I loved the facility but it's expensive. "
