"Pavilion Of Waukegan Nursing was OK, clean, and convenient. They seemed to do a nice job taking care of the place. It's not particularly beautiful, but the staff was kind, and they'd rather take care of the needs of the patients. The rooms and apartments were clean and tidy, but not beautiful or anything like that. The food looked OK, nothing to get excited about, but the dining area was nice. "

"The building got a face lift!!! It’s being updated and remolded. They do Omelette day for residents, Bingo, celebration and education for other cultures. They have bilingual staff members. Staff is very friendly and go out their way for their residents and family!"

"My brother is currently at The Bay at Sheridan Health and Rehabilitation Center. They seem to be doing OK taking care of him, but it seems pretty crowded there. I've seen the food that they serve, and it looks fine to me. We bring him pizza and sandwiches now and then because some days he doesn't like the food and some days he does. The staff has been polite. They do call if there's a problem. I think they're doing their job. There was one nurse who I liked, but she quit. They're very busy. They don't seem to have enough staff. Sometimes the phone doesn't get answered."

"My parents are both in Glenlake Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The staff are nice, courteous and they really take wonderful care of my parents. I'm comfortable with them there. I just wish this place had tiered levels of care. Right now, I'm looking for a facility that is a nursing home as well as an assisted living. Because the problem is with my father. He's still coherent, he really doesn't need to be in a nursing home. He needs more of an assisted living. It's lonely and depressing for him because nobody there is in the same capacity as he is, but my mother definitely needs a nursing home. She cannot walk and she's very heavy. "

"The Therapy is outstanding; Nursing staff is good and they are attentive. My goal is to go home and get back to my life. The staff have all been helping and rooting for me to reach my goal. This a place I would recommend to my friends and family. I like the fact they are covid free; and staff takes the precautions to make the residents safe. Staff wheres mask throughtout the day to protect us. The facility has a few areas outside where you can sit and get some sun and socialize with fellow residents. This is a great place"

"Clairidge House is an older nursing home and my father-in-law is there. The rehab is really good and that's what he needs right now so he's going to be in there for about five or six weeks. The rooms are not very big. "

"My father was recently in this facility and was on hospice. I found the staff and nurses were very helpful through this whole ordeal. Benda the nurse and Sara the hospice nurse kept me informed on everything including Claudia the social worker. The patients room was always clean and I have no complaints. "My mother was recuperating in Brookside Care Center for a little while. She had a private room. It was roomy, but it was clinical, and more like a hospital room. Her physical therapist and occupational therapist were very good. The care was excellent. It was very clean, and they were very proactive, especially with COVID, they kept us informed. Some of the staff members were very dismissive, they were mean, they were rude, and even when I complained about it, nothing was ever done. I mean if they did talk to the one person, she never changed her ways. It was one particular staff member that just seemed very dismissive, and the social worker didn't seem to be on top of his stuff."

"Waters Edge Rehab and Care Center is quite a large place and they offer full range of care in PT, OT, podiatry, dentistry, psychology, and eye care. They are going to be under new management and they will be updating some things in their place. It was an older place, but their food is good and they're very helpful and nice to their patients."

"My family visited all of the CCRC's in the region and this was the first one that felt like "home" to us. Well appointed and well run (the staff is awesome) the surrounding forest preserve provided a unique setting very important to my parents. The flexible meal plan was the thing that cinched the deal for us, though. We're very happy."

"The caregivers, nursing staff and administration is very caring and considerate of our loved ones while at Claridge. I felt good about my mother's care there and they were very aware of her health. She had a small infection and fever and they were right on top of it and dealt with it. She was happy there and kept clean and healthy. Would recommend this residence. It does look like it needs updating and decorating but to me her care was more important. "

"I'm a preschool teacher and I work in the same building as Libertyville Manor. It is a beautiful facility on a 10-acre land. They take good care of their seniors there. Everything is in-house and they even have a physical therapist onsite. Their residents have a daily schedule to follow. We have a program in the daycare that aims to close in the generational gap. So we take the kids up there and play games with their residents. There is really a lot of interaction between the seniors and they have plenty of things to do there, which is nice. We see them watching TV or playing games. We have our picnic in Libertyville Manor just recently and we invited all of their families and all of our families. They also have a nursing care, so when their seniors get too sick for assisted living, they just go over to a different wing. "

"I visited Winchester House as a part of a company sponsored event and the first thing I notice was that the residents seemed really happy. The facility was exceptionally clean for a government run facility. I usually can not stand the smell of assisted living and nursing home facilities and Winchester House is an exception to this issue. The place did not carry an overwhelming odor. I had a good day socializing with the residents and I was there for lunch and the food looked and smelt appetizing. The food did not remind me of hospital food and was actually well made and well presented. The residents were very social and the worker were friendly. I observed the interaction between residents and caregivers and I saw a caring and responsive relationship. My overall view is that this is one of the best ran and best kept facilities in IL. I am especially surprised as I have visited many facilities in the IL. "
