The Charter Senior Living of Kenosha's grounds and the location were very nice. It seemed to be a pleasant place to live. They had pretty good-sized rooms. The only reason I didn't jump at going there is that I'm not sure there's enough care for my mom. The facility seems like an older building, which is fine. Some of the outdoor decks and things like that seemed a little dirty, but I'm not sure whose responsibility it is to clean that. In general, it seemed reasonably clean and well-maintained. There was a resident there who was very complimentary of her experience. I didn't see anything that raised a red flag or anything like that. They were very helpful. As a matter of fact, I had shown up without a specific appointment, and they were really accommodating. They took me around and showed me around quite a bit. It was great.

My parents moved into Charter Senior Living of Kenosha. We chose this facility because it was much better, brighter, and had more to do. They could stay together in the same apartment and bring their cats. We love the staff, the brightness and size of the apartment, and the dining room. The staff are very kind and helpful to them, and they make them laugh every day. I prefer a nicer restaurant, but I'd say maybe a four for them. The structure is very beautiful, and it was very clean. They always go on different trips, like to grocery stores and casinos. They also do social activities such as ice cream socials and games on a regular basis. They have a lot of space for the two of them, for two people living there. Their layout is different from the other apartments because theirs was converted from two apartments into one. So, their layout is very nice.

My mother is here and they've got very friendly staff. They're very concerned about her care. They have a lot of activities. It's very clean. I would live there myself. They have bingo, exercise, and field trips where they go to some of the local stores, go grocery shopping, and do mind stimulating like word searches and crosswords. Everything is voluntary. They don't push anybody to play or do any of the stuff. They just encourage them to participate. They also have live music. They had a barbeque one time. It's reasonable.
