"I toured Sunrise of Buffalo Grove for my father, but it was too expensive. It was a great place. It was very clean. We liked the management and the dining room service. They had transportation for the residents. The building had a very nice layout. The rooms were beautiful. The dining room was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, professional, and willing to help you out as much as they can. They tried to make the place affordable for us, but we just couldn't meet their price."

"My husband moved into Belmont Village Buffalo Grove. The facility is clean. Everybody's helpful. They are very gentle with my husband. They're taking good care of him. I listen to what they have to say. They asked me to come in the room to look at my husband, and I'll come in the room as soon as I can. They're very busy. One day, some of the food was cold. They show a movie after dinner. They have reading, entertainment, movie nights, exercises, and mind games. Their price is a little bit high. You can take the residents out, and you can walk them around. There's a lot of room. There are chairs and benches. It was pretty nice on the outside."

"My father-in-law is here now. It just works out well. They have a memory care center that my mother-in-law could go into and then assisted living for my father-in-law, so it's just a good fit for them. My father-in-law seems to be happy. We can't visit him but everything is going well. He really likes the food. It's been really good. I think my father-in-law is very happy with the staff."

"It was very friendly, very comfortable, and had great storage space. They were very helpful and good at answering questions and taking us around. I liked the woman that talked to us the most; her name was Karen. I think we are going to like it there. They had extra large closets. My goodness, you could put a small office in there. "

Also felt at times that more staff could've helped them out tremendously as it would with any facility. I though the residents were given the care and respect they deserved. "I liked the apartments at Hawthorn Lakes because they were beautiful. The staff was very nice. The food was good. They had different activities. However, in their independent living facility, the parking was too far away. I would recommend it to people who could walk far to go to the parking area. "

"Victory Centre was very nice. It was a large and very attractive community. The food was very good. They allow dogs. It is very nice living for someone who just wants to move into a facility where they don't have to cook, clean, etc., and also it has a nice social life. They have all kinds of programs for people so that they never get bored. "

"My mom is here. The place is very pleasant. You enter it and it looks like a hotel lobby. Everybody has been very friendly and helpful. I had lunch there a couple of times, and what I had was pretty good. My mom's been happy with the food. I was there for an activity. They had a music program one afternoon. Her room meets her needs. Because my mom is in a wheelchair, there are still some obstacles for her to reach the sinks and stuff. It's not as easy for somebody in a wheelchair to get to the sinks. They have a lot of activities though."

"My brother used to stay at Sunrise of Park Ridge. I think their care was fine, and the staff was very good. Every time I went there, they could always tell me where my brother was. My brother stayed in a nice, single room. The place was a little bit better than the other communities we know. They also seemed to have more activities there, like singing and exercise programs. Their food was good and had good choices on their menu, so you could pick between three different things for each meal. It was better than the others. I highly recommend it. "

"I visited my grandmother at Three Crowns Park, and I love the facility. It has all the different amenities. The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. Most of the staff are friendly. They also have a lot of activities offered for her. They take the residents to parks, and they have music in the evening, so those are good. "

"The Wellshire Morton Grove was very nice. It wasn't large enough for me. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable about the facility, and had answers for every question. They had a wellness area, housekeeping, restaurant-style dining, a game room, a computer lab, and a library which was very nice."

"We choose here because the staff is very attentive and most of the residents that we talked to have been there for a long time. We noticed that their spontaneous response was always positive. Unsolicited, they always say they really enjoy living there. They rooms are nicely laid out, very clean, and neatly decorated. The food is very good. The dining room is set up restaurant-style with a salad bar, but the residents are served. There is a choice of three different entrees that are all very good. My mom is still kind of new there, but there are lots of activities, like arts and crafts, movies, flower arranging, and religious services. It's close to our house. We're lucky to have found a good one."

"The Sheridan at Park Ridge is a very nice facility. It was clean. It looked like they were great caregivers. They were interacting with the people and kind of making you feel comfortable about the care that they give to people. The residents looked very happy. They have a dining hall and a gym area for the seniors if they want to do that. They have guest areas, too. The staff who gave me a tour was very nice. She followed up and called me a couple of days later. She's very thorough and very flexible because I had to move my schedule twice. I didn't get to see the entire facility. It would have been nice to see a little bit more. I only saw the studio. They have a beauty salon and a physical therapy area."
