"My mom is here. It is good. The staff is very nice. They are very accommodating, and they keep me aware of what is going on. The room that she moved into is clean. They have bingo, an exercise group, and a movie day. Once Covid is over, they'll have excursions outside of the facility, but right now they can't do that."

"It was smaller and quieter than other places. The people seemed nice. However, it didn't have memory care. Once we found out that they didn't, we didn't even finish the tour."

"The Heathers Senior Homes of Lake in the Hills was pricier than the others I toured. The rooms were nice. I loved the showers because you can just wheel your wheelchair and stuff in. They showed me a one-bedroom and a studio. They have a TV room, games, and different activities. The staff was all great. Everything was clean and well-kept."

"Bickford of Crystal Lake was very nice. The woman and the nurse that we had our interview with were so nice. The apartments, the outside, and everything was nice. It just felt a little smaller. It seemed like a very homey place. When we came in, they were listening to a band. When we were leaving, they were all getting ready to eat dinner. They had different types of rooms. The chef brought my husband a bowl of soup and it was delicious and fresh. They had fruit bowls everywhere."

"The staff at the Heathers Senior Homes of Ringwood were all very helpful. The only thing that stopped us from choosing them was the location of the room. We didn't feel it was conducive for what we were looking for. Everybody was in their room or something, so I didn't see people engaging in anything. I think they just had lunch, so they probably all went for their naps."

"My dad moved in here. It is superb. It’s also close to my brother. They have a Bridge group, they have nice speakers that would come in on various topics, they have special dinners to which they invite family, and even candlelight dinners on special events."

"I really liked the Oak Park Place. It was light, bright, and new. It's only a couple of years old, so the hallways are wide. Everything was lighter and brighter décor. There were lots of sunlight. We only met with one staff member, but she was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. It appeared very clean, light, bright, and there's a dining room on each level. The rooms were nice and roomy. There's plenty of space. The dining room opened to the outside as well, and that was nice. They have an activity center, salon, exercise center, and a big activity room when they have speakers or musicians."

"Heritage Woods of Belvidere is good, and the rooms are very nice. The dining area is very nice, and the staff is very helpful. The price is great, and they have a nice garden. They kept it clean, and it's a really nice place. The food is good, and the dining area was really nice. "

"I took my dad to visit Heritage Woods of Rockford. It was fine, but he did not want to go there. He wants to stay at home. It was really nice, really first class, and very good looking. "

"I like Anam Glen because there are only a few people there. I have found nothing that I don't like. My husband was very happy and he's well cared for. The staff are very kind. They called them by name and they watched him very carefully. He fell once and they were right there to take care of him. They have some activities and they have an activity room. He enjoys the activities and he enjoys the people."

"We have chosen TLC Living Community for my mother. We moved her to their assisted living early part of April. It's not quite a month yet but I would have to say that the community itself is very lovely, pleasant, open, cheery, and inviting. The staff there has been very accommodating, especially the nursing staff. The CNAs and the director there have been very helpful too. It's brand-new and has wonderful amenities like a library, a craft room, and a very spacious dining room."

"Grand Regency of Rockford is within our price range. It is clean and my aunt seems to love the place. Any needs that I brought to them were addressed as soon as possible. She seems to like the food, too. It is a good place and they take care of everything."

"Luther Center is just like an apartment complex. I chose this facility because it was cheaper than the others. Everything is good. It has access to downtown and everything, the stop is right out front. It's not far to places you need to go to especially if you don't have a car. The rooms are really big and quiet. There are no problems and I give them a rating of five stars. "
