"My friend has been in Charter Senior Living of Rockford for over a year now. They pretty much meet his needs. They give him extra help if he needs it and be safe if he needs to be watched 24 hours a day. They get to have their personal belongings and take whatever they can. It's very nice and it's private. They have their own space. They seem to be very well equipped on what their needs are. The meal preparation is good; their food is very adequate. They have activities, and it's up to them whether they want to go or not. They have cookouts patio, bingo, bowling, and spiritual things. They have different things like yesterday, the girls from my church came over and sang gospel songs to them."

"We toured Trustwell Living at Cherryvale Place's assisted living for my mother-in-law. The place is very lovely and could be an excellent option. It's very pleasant. They had a lovely outdoor area for the residents. It was all on one floor too, which was nice. The person who took us around was very knowledgeable and very helpful. They had a big activities calendar, so I think they offer them but I just haven't looked at that because it does not apply to us as my mother-in-law is not mobile."

"My mom is here. It is good. The staff is very nice. They are very accommodating, and they keep me aware of what is going on. The room that she moved into is clean. They have bingo, an exercise group, and a movie day. Once Covid is over, they'll have excursions outside of the facility, but right now they can't do that."

"I am very impressed with Fairhaven. They seemed to offer everything anybody could want. The place was very clean and well maintained. The people were extremely nice, and the food was very good. They are in the process of renovating, which is very good. They had a myriad of activities. They are right next door to the University in Wisconsin Whitewater and there’s a lot of things going on there for residents. There were regular bingo games and trips. "

"I went to look at the Frontida of Elkhorn. The rooms looked great. They were very spacious and nice. Everything looked clean and well-maintained. The staff member who I met seemed very friendly and helpful. They had a courtyard, a bar area, and a place for social gatherings or casual meetings where you could meet with your family."

"Stoughton Meadows has a team of individuals that are there for reasons beyond employment. This review is pure and true from my experiences received each time I visited my mother, which was 2x (minimum), during the week and then at least once each weekend, for 9 months. I hadn't ever really spent much time in a care giving or Healthcare facility, at leas not as much time as I had prior to my mom becoming a resident at Stoughton Meadows. I never really understood the whole care giving aspect of things, truly never understood why people would want to be a caregiver considering the type of work they do and I assumed and always heard for the little pay they receive. Once I started spending time at Stoughton Meadows to be with my mom, as much as I could after work during the week and on weekends. I fully grasped the reasoning behind individuals whom are employed at facility's caring for others with impaired abilities. They truly have a passion for helping people, their story may have led them their due to past experiences with their loved ones or family members. Care giving is by far a passion rather than a pay check. The staff at SM's is truly incredible in the amount of people they have on staff that are sincere and entirely a huge asset to this facility. I've never witnessed so many employees for one entity in which are so vested to what the core reason in their employment is and that's the residents. This goes all around the boards in regards to their cooks, their activity director, and even their maintenance guy...all of them have such huge hearts and are so helpful without any hesitation, it truly shows they are the right individuals for their roles and Stoughton meadows and their residents are lucky for this beyond measures! "

"My mother is at The Suites at Beloit. I'm very happy with it, and she likes the food. With Covid, I can't go in there and check on the activities, but they're doing something. The staff members are very good. So far, I'm very happy with the place."

"My experience with Willowick has been amazing and I could not be more pleased. Amanda, the director at Willowick, has been attentive to our every need and her dedication, responsiveness, kindness, and overall caring nature has been exceptional. The facility is open, cozy and inviting, clean, and bright with lots of natural sunlight. The main area is filled with various types of nice furniture to relax in while visiting with your loved ones. Music is softly playing in the front visiting area which adds to the relaxing, inviting atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and easy to personalize with a nice big window and natural sunlight flowing in. I am very satisfied and at peace with our decision to place my loved one here."

"I toured Sun Valley East, and the room they had was very small. The bathroom was across the complex. They only provided a continental breakfast. If you wanted lunch and dinner, that had to be extra. There was only one staff member on duty when we went to view. I don't know if there were other staff members. It was a nice, clean place. It was just that the exterior construction was already peeling, but not so much on the interior."

"Beloit Senior Living is absolutely fabulous. The rest of the family is more than happy with everything they're doing there. My father is there and he's very happy. The staff is fantastic and makes him feel so welcome. He adjusted much faster there than any other place I know. We have visited other facilities and without a doubt, that is the best possible fit for him. He said he gets great meals, and it's not hospital food. They just don't have as many activities as he would like to see. I want to move in there myself. I highly recommend the place. They have a courtyard where people can go outside."

"We chose Willowick - Beloit Campus for my father-in-law, but I don't really recommend this place. They just don't have enough people, and I don't think they have the experience that they need to take care of people in memory care. There are only three staff members dealing with about 20 residents. They're also kind of lazy. They just let everybody do whatever they want to do. There are residents who go and wander from room to room. The rooms are really nice, and they do all kinds of activities, which is great. The place is brand new and they clean it. It's just the interaction with the residents I find kind of poor."

"Sun Valley Homes North assisted living facility was on our list while in the region looking at facilities for our uncle. We liked the quaint exterior, which appeared very well maintained and resembled a large, ranch style home. The grounds were nicely landscaped, with tranquil tree-lined walkways and seating areas. We felt comfortable and could see that the residents did to, as we walked around. There were rooms for many activities, like quiet reading, card games, exercise, parties, private visitations and and hosted meetings. The residents are encouraged to exercise daily in the fitness center on the equipment, with exercise classes, or walking outside pathways. The living spaces were beautifully decorated with lots of fresh air and light. All rooms were well designed, efficient and clean. The dining room was nice, with plenty of space. The menus had healthy food options for all diets. The food smelled and looked appetizing. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The seniors are taken on nature walks and many outside excursions, such as cultural events in the Beloit and surrounding areas. This is a facility that seems less like a facility and more like a nice home. The seniors looked very well attended and content. "

"We toured Riverside Terrace. I liked best that they were associated with Beloit Hospital System, and they had access to the hospital resources, including facilities. I was quite impressed by the beautiful collaboration that's going on there. I was also very pleased with the staff. She in fact called me up just recently and asked what's going on. She was really good and knowledgeable. The building was also clean and well laid out. There's nothing wrong with the facility; I thought it was good. The atmosphere was fine, but we didn't see as many people in the hall, so it's maybe just a little quieter. They have multiple sizes of rooms. The layouts were also good."
