"My mom is here. It is good. The staff is very nice. They are very accommodating, and they keep me aware of what is going on. The room that she moved into is clean. They have bingo, an exercise group, and a movie day. Once Covid is over, they'll have excursions outside of the facility, but right now they can't do that."

"The Staff seems always willing to help whenever there is a need, even if it is helping to learn how to use a new phone. Professional yet warm and understanding and willing to take the time to explain details of medical care, as well as how the system works. They seem to go that extra "mile" for the patient and the patient's family. The environment is clean, warm and inviting. And the residents, and patients seem to enjoy each other's company. Many smiles, waves, and "How are you doing?" as they pass each other in the hall, dining room, or doorway to their rooms. Makes having friends and family visit, and enjoy their visit all the better. Everyone benefits and Rehab goes better, living is nicer and the quality of life that much greater."

"The facility smelled fresh and the front lobby was warm and inviting. The staff was very accomodating in directing me to who I needed to speak with about helping a loved one. I saw a lot of natural light and smiles...definitely worth the visit. "

"I toured Sun Valley East, and the room they had was very small. The bathroom was across the complex. They only provided a continental breakfast. If you wanted lunch and dinner, that had to be extra. There was only one staff member on duty when we went to view. I don't know if there were other staff members. It was a nice, clean place. It was just that the exterior construction was already peeling, but not so much on the interior."

"Beloit Senior Living is a brand new community. It is spotless and it looks very nice. Everything is new and sparkling. It is less than half-full, so it is a little quieter. The facility itself is beautiful. The rooms are nice, but on the smaller side. It is also located adjacent to the clinic in town, so it is very well located for any medical emergencies or for maintenance with doctors' visits."

"We chose Willowick - Beloit Campus for my father-in-law, but I don't really recommend this place. They just don't have enough people, and I don't think they have the experience that they need to take care of people in memory care. There are only three staff members dealing with about 20 residents. They're also kind of lazy. They just let everybody do whatever they want to do. There are residents who go and wander from room to room. The rooms are really nice, and they do all kinds of activities, which is great. The place is brand new and they clean it. It's just the interaction with the residents I find kind of poor."

"Sun Valley Homes North assisted living facility was on our list while in the region looking at facilities for our uncle. We liked the quaint exterior, which appeared very well maintained and resembled a large, ranch style home. The grounds were nicely landscaped, with tranquil tree-lined walkways and seating areas. We felt comfortable and could see that the residents did to, as we walked around. There were rooms for many activities, like quiet reading, card games, exercise, parties, private visitations and and hosted meetings. The residents are encouraged to exercise daily in the fitness center on the equipment, with exercise classes, or walking outside pathways. The living spaces were beautifully decorated with lots of fresh air and light. All rooms were well designed, efficient and clean. The dining room was nice, with plenty of space. The menus had healthy food options for all diets. The food smelled and looked appetizing. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The seniors are taken on nature walks and many outside excursions, such as cultural events in the Beloit and surrounding areas. This is a facility that seems less like a facility and more like a nice home. The seniors looked very well attended and content. "

"Riverside Terrace was amazing. The staff was awesome. The nurses were the ones that interviewed me about my mom, and I thought that was nice. I talked to some of the residents and they were really happy there. I liked what I saw. The apartments were beautiful. The facility was set up very nicely and it was peaceful."

"We liked the look of Northpoint Terrace assisted living facility. While searching for a place for our aunt to live in the area, we decided to stop in. Despite not having an appointment, they very graciously gave us a tour. The facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. We could see that there was plenty of space to have cookouts, parties and picnics in the yard. The grounds outside also offered easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely and safely. The interior foyer looked fresh and bright with a nice decor and comfortable furniture throughout. All of the indoor rooms had plenty of fresh air and light. Rooms were beautifully decorated and furnished. The colors throughout were soothing and comfortable. The private apartments were some of the more spacious we've seen. the kitchens were large enough to comfortably fit a table and chairs. They all had plenty of space to have good sized furnishings. All of them also had a great deal of natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture. The seniors can easily socialize, read, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. Communal activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture. Some of the other activities included sight seeing, group studies, musical events, shopping outings, fine and casual dining at local eateries, guest speakers, birthday celebrations, exercise programs, group games and parties. The dining area was nice and spacious. The food looked and smelled delicious. The menus were healthy with many food options for all diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The residents looked content and well cared for in this homey living environment. "

"Two of my grandparents have been at Highview in the Woodlands. One for respite care and one for assisted living with an Alzheimer's diagnosis. Both grandparents received care we were all pleased with. It's a small community which makes it very intimate and in return the nurses aren't being tied down and they have time to get to know the residents. I really liked their approach for the Alzheimer Care and the activities they provided."

"I didn't see many people walking around at Cedar Crest. It's a beautiful facility that felt big. When I walk through a lovely, newly redone facility with carpeting and you only see two or three people, I get a little bit concerned. I didn't know where the people were. The rooms were very nice. They had a schedule of activities. They were very good about giving us a really nice tour. I didn't ask about the assisted living because all of the rooms were occupied. They have a policy that they won't invade the residents' privacy, so we went to see the apartments in the independent living, and they were very nice. They had people come in to sing and do activities."

"My mother is in Our House Senior Living. I like that it's smaller and didn't have as many residents, but it's close to all the relatives. The staff members seem to be pretty good and know what they're doing. They have worked there for many years and seem to have everything under control. The food that I've eaten was always good and she likes the food. The facility is in really nice shape."

"I visited Willowick Assisted Living. I met with one of the owners who is also the director, and it's a place I was considering. It was new, clean, and the layout was a square, so none of the rooms were far from the dining room or the gathering places. The price was a tad high, but fairly reasonable, and everybody looked like they were enjoying themselves. The meals looked pretty good."
