"Oak Park Place Janesville was very nice. There's a bit of a problem though, they have a waiting list, and although it wasn't too lengthy and we probably could have worked it out, that still provided a bit of a concern to us. It is a large place, and they're building new apartments, so they are really going to increase their capacity. It's very adequate and very pleasant with huge, beautiful grounds. It's very peaceful and very nice. The person who got to tour us was very helpful and enthusiastic too. They have patios, green lawns, and trees around, and it's not in a crowded area."

"The facility is kept nice and clean. The rooms are comfortable and have plenty of windows although the views aren't great (either a busy street or a parking lot.)There are plenty of activities available including including games and crafts. Since the facility is Catholic, there are also regular masses and the sacraments are provided regularly.The worst thing about the place is the food. It's gone from good to bad and back again apparently because of constant turnover in the kitchen staff. Thankfully each apartment has its own kitchen so any residents with interest in cooking for themselves are free to do so. And since the menu is posted in advance you can stay away from meals you don't think will be very good.That being said the staff is great. Everyone has been very courteous and straightforward. There are many nuns and priests in (again, Catholic facility) and they are very outgoing with the residents. There is a pharmacy, grocery store, and Catholic church very close by to the premises too, which is great. "

"This was a great facility. Everything went according to plan. Food was good and everybody was helpful. "

"Cor Mariae was nice but it's more like an institution. It's an older building, multi story with smaller rooms and hallways. The staff was accommodating. It was in a good location but we just didn't feel at home there. "

"We have visited Fairhaven many times as we had a close friend there in an apartment that we looked after. We have several other friends who have lived there. They all say how much they enjoy the people, food and staff. When a person moves in, the carpets have been changed or cleaned and the room painted. I have never heard anything negative about it. We have had two people in the health center with Alzheimers, and they seem to be well taken care of and are always kept clean. That's the best place to go if you have the money. But they don't take Medicare."

"At Wesley Willows, you could buy your own apartment. The place was wonderful, and that's the place I would be looking to move into. The apartments were roomy enough, and the price was a little bit on the high end but reasonable. The staff that we met was great. The place was clean and the ambience was wonderful, even the dining area. There was a place to buy coffee or tea."

"TLC Living Community was very nice and clean. They didn't have any one-bedrooms available. They only had studios available. It didn't give you that cozy and warm feeling. It was like a hospital type feeling. Everything was so light and bright. Their rooms were very nice, though. The staff were very nice and helpful. The place was very clean. They had a salon and everything. It was near the Rock Cut Crossing (which is prompt care), so I would say proximity would be good for there, too. The outside space was not a good view. They had flowers around there, but they had older looking houses and a parking lot view. The facility was all brand new. It was only a year old."

"We chose Willowick - Beloit Campus for my father-in-law, but I don't really recommend this place. They just don't have enough people, and I don't think they have the experience that they need to take care of people in memory care. There are only three staff members dealing with about 20 residents. They're also kind of lazy. They just let everybody do whatever they want to do. There are residents who go and wander from room to room. The rooms are really nice, and they do all kinds of activities, which is great. The place is brand new and they clean it. It's just the interaction with the residents I find kind of poor."

"We chose Cedar Crest for my parents because it is close to family, friends, and doctors' appointments. We didn’t really get to see how they take care of any residents because of COVID-19. They just took us through the facility and a tour of the place. They were very good. It is close to everything in Janesville, it's reputable, and has been there for many, many years. It was just a gorgeous place, very pretty, and very nice. It has nice gardens, very pretty, and wooded in the back."

"I can honestly say that the staff at Barb City Manor is amazing. They were so wonderful at contacting us whenever they saw trouble. They never hesitated to keep us informed. "

"River Place Senior Apartments was very nice and very clean. The people were very friendly. We met some ladies that were playing cards there and some of the staff and they were all very nice. The apartment was also laid out very nicely. It was senior-friendly and very spacious. They have a community room that has a kitchen and stuff like that where they can gather. The dining area was very spacious and clean, too. It's in a very safe place and the residents looked out for each other. It's very close to the hospital and medical facilities."

"Hearthstone Manor is a very nice place that serves good food. My father-in-law is extremely tall, so they have all of the machines and everything to get him in and out of bed. So far, everything has been good. The staff is very nice, pleasant, and attentive. We don't have any problems with them. It is a home-like setup, and they make their patients very comfortable. They were gracious enough to allow my father-in-law to go out with us and have pizza the other day. "
