Siena on Brendenwood had nice apartments with a kitchen and a bedroom. There were over 100 people there. They had several rooms that you can use for gatherings. It's well taken care of. They had a gourmet shopper and a place in the morning where you can go get a Continental breakfast with hardboiled eggs and things like that which cost a couple of dollars. It's not a three-meal setup like some of the other places, and the supper was part of what you pay for per month. The residents were ambulatory. You can tell that most of them had been professional at one time because they're well dressed and seemed to be friendly. They speak when you're visiting. The lady in charge of helping us get enrolled had been very helpful.

The facility is kept nice and clean. The rooms are comfortable and have plenty of windows although the views aren't great (either a busy street or a parking lot.)There are plenty of activities available including including games and crafts. Since the facility is Catholic, there are also regular masses and the sacraments are provided regularly.The worst thing about the place is the food. It's gone from good to bad and back again apparently because of constant turnover in the kitchen staff. Thankfully each apartment has its own kitchen so any residents with interest in cooking for themselves are free to do so. And since the menu is posted in advance you can stay away from meals you don't think will be very good.That being said the staff is great. Everyone has been very courteous and straightforward. There are many nuns and priests in (again, Catholic facility) and they are very outgoing with the residents. There is a pharmacy, grocery store, and Catholic church very close by to the premises too, which is great.
