We have placed my mom into Heritage Woods of Rockford assisted living. We chose them because it was close to our homes and she would be able to stay there if she needed a lot more care. We've had really good luck with everybody that works with her there. There have been no issues and all the people have been very nice and communicate with her. She liked it overall when she got there. They're having a little issue right now with the food because they're currently looking for a cook and for people to work. Unfortunately, in this economy right now, it's not an easy task so they're doing the best they can. They have a library and a lot of outdoor spaces. The facility itself is nice. They have a lot of spaces where they can sit and visit on each floor. They do bingo a lot, they have ice cream social days, and they have a minister coming in from different churches. They go take the residents on their bus to local restaurants and local attractions. Right now, I think they'll go to the Apple Orchard in the fall. So, things like those keep them quite busy if they want to be busy. They played badminton, they did a lot of crafts and painting, and exercise classes too.

Heritage Woods of Rockford was beautiful. The staff was nice. They introduced me to a couple of people who had apartments there, and we spent time talking to them. They reassured me and it seemed like it was a nice, friendly place. I felt comfortable after I left there and told my daughter that went with me. So, we're hoping I can get in sooner than later. They had a library, laundry, a little store, TV rooms, and all kinds of meeting rooms. The apartments are nice. I'll probably get a studio apartment at first, but they said I could probably get upgraded later on if I wanted to. The people I talked to there in studio apartments said that after a bigger apartment became available, they were comfortable in the one they were in and just stayed there. It was just really nice all the way around and you can have a lot of your personal belongings and stuff like that if you want. It's very clean and very well decorated. It was like a luxury hotel. The apartments were beautiful. I was very, very impressed. The staff was all very helpful and very nice. They're always having little parties, like birthday parties and a welcoming party for everybody there. Then they take you shopping once a week if you want to go to Walmart or to your doctor and stuff like that. I was very impressed with that, too. They have a beautiful patio with a gazebo and a grill. They grill out some nights, where your family can come. My son-in-law is a chef, so he was surprised that there's a big kitchen you can use, a private dining room, and all the outside things. He is only five miles from where I'm going to be so he was very impressed that he could come there and feed me (he likes to feed me). They have a dining room and then there are always snacks available. There's a little store, which is very cheap, where they had snacks and sodas and things like that if you wanted. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the apartments. So, if you want to have your own little supply of food, you can. They have art classes, bingo, and a bunch of different things to do.

We've chosen Heritage Woods of Rockford for my parents, but they haven't moved in yet. It looked nice, seemed friendly, and clean. They were doing some crafting stuff. It looked very nice. I have heard nothing but good things about it. Everybody said that was a good place to go. I've been working with Janine, and she's very helpful.

I live in Heritage Woods of Rockford. My daughter checked this one out, and thought it was the best arrangement for me. The experience has been real good, the staff is very good, very helpful, the food is pretty good, they serve a nice variety of food, and I have a large apartment. It's a one-room studio apartment with a large living area, and a nice, large bedroom. They have bingo quite often.

My aunt was at Heritage Woods in Rockford She was seriously ill in the hospital. I left a message Sunday night that with the Office. I did not hear back from the office until Wednesday and that was only because they were concerned about their rent money and what they should do with my Aunt's things! My aunt has told me that often other residents who cannot move on their own will sit for up to an hour after meals are finished because staff will not come down to take those residents back to their rooms I wouldn't board my dog with these people, much less a loved one.

Heritage Woods of Rockford looks more like an apartment. It's very clean, and it gave us more of an independent and modern feeling. They have three different rooms and the two we saw were very modern and updated. They're spacious, and the bigger one was ridiculously big. The staff member took us to a private room, answered our questions, gave us the paperwork we needed, and were just very approachable. We saw the meals and they looked great. It ooked like a restaurant, smelled fantastic, and the dining room was just perfect.

We took my father-in-law to Heritage Woods after his wife passed away and he could no longer care for himself. The process was made very easy, and he was happy to be with people again. The staff was fabulous, the facility is very bright and clean. They took great care of him until he moved to a level of his disease that they were unable to accommodate. I highly recommend Heritage Woods.

My mom has been at HW of Rkfd for nearly 3 years. The staff is excellent and the environment is beautiful and well-maintained. My only concerns are that the nursing staff changes frequently and my mom does not think the food is very good (usually). The activities director, intake advisor, and accounting people are wonderful, and my mom loves the CNA's.

I took my dad to visit Heritage Woods of Rockford. It was fine, but he did not want to go there. He wants to stay at home. It was really nice, really first class, and very good looking.
