"I toured The Branches of Marlboro. It seemed very friendly. It's very open. There are a lot of places where you can meet other people or other people may be gathered and you could join them. You also have your own space and just close the door and you're in your own little space. The staff were all so friendly. They'd look up from what they were doing to smile and say, "Hi. Welcome", and they were very nice. They have puzzles put out for anybody to do. I saw two rooms and both were extremely clean."

"I will be moving into Pleasant Hill Retirement. It was the only place I looked at with a washer and dryer in the room, and everything was included. The food was excellent, and I brought my family to try it. The only thing this place doesn't have is a swimming pool, but there is a beauty salon, a bank, a small CVS, and a movie theater. The staff was so helpful. If you have any problem, question, or anything at all, no matter what it is, someone will answer it. Someone will get to you right away and is always available."

"We toured The Residence at Natick South. It has a very beautiful, elegant, and very formal setting. It required furnishing for even a short-term rehab stay. They did not provide a television. They had a white linen dinner every night, a well-appointed exercise room, and very friendly staff."

"The Commons in Lincoln is excellent. The whole facility and the staff are wonderful. Mom has no complaints at all about the food. They have a swimming pool, lots of activities, and ways to get transportation to different places. If you needed more care, they have people that would come in. She has two meals per day that she could just have them take care of. They also have an exercise room, an art room, and a great room where they have music, bocce, and all kinds of other activities. They have wonderful grounds. Mom loves going for a walk so she could go for walks for around the grounds. Lincoln has many, many miles of paths and grocery stores nearby. It's just everything she needed. They have lots of concerts. Before COVID, they had children come in whom the residents had interactions with. Then they have exercise classes, as well as religious services, music, art classes, and lectures about all different topics including geography and politics."

"The staff at Epoch has been phenomenal. They have gone out of their way to be present every day in my mother's life, from physical care to encouraging her to engage in activities making a point of getting her out of her room. My family could not be happier! "

"Maplewood is a lovely, warm and inviting assisted living facility. My mother-in-law moved into Maplewood about three months ago and we have been so impressed with every aspect of the community. The physical campus is beautiful and includes very well decorated and inviting common areas and spacious apartments. The management is top notch and provides a personal touch by getting to know each resident and their family. The activities are one of the best parts of the experience at Maplewood. My MIL loves participating in many of the offerings, including musical entertainment, spiritual services, and gatherings in "the pub". We feel so relieved to have my MIL in such a safe, friendly, caring and beautiful environment. It's wonderful!"

"My Mom has been a resident of Waterstone at Wellesley for more than two years now and is thriving like never before. She's highly engaged in the community and has made close friends with whom she enjoys meals, activities and shared interests. I can always count on the staff at Waterstone to reach out to me with issues (there are seldom any, but they are both proactive and responsive when needed). And the location on the Charles, and so close to the highway, makes for both an oasis and a convenience. My mom has, happily, gained a bit of weight since moving to Waterstone - she had lost so much during the pandemic we were concerned. She loves the food and the options available at meals. We have no complaints at all. It's hard to get a read on a community unless you are there during meals or Happy Hours, which Waterstone has twice a week for residents of both Independent and Assisted Living communities. It's a lot of fun for residents and gives my mom (and others) something to get dressed up for (mom puts on her best *AND* makeup)! We are extremely happy with Waterstone."

"We went to look at Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings. The people who met up with us were all very nice. They were willing to answer any questions. They were very friendly and gave us a full tour of the facility, including the rooms and the dining area. We also got to speak to some of the residents who were sitting around outside, and it was good. It was an overall good experience. It did fit what we needed, and it would have been a good place if my mother had to go. It was a very good facility. They had a salon."

"My wife and I are both in an assisted living accommodation at The Falls at Cordingly Dam. She's on the fourth floor and I'm on the first floor. I'm looking for an independent living accommodation because it is not good for me to be in an assisted living accommodation. She's fine here, but this is not the place for me. There's no activity for me here. We've been here for two months. I'm not happy here, but my wife is here. This is great for her, but not so good for me mentally and/or physically. I think the staff is superior. The accommodations are very nice for the assisted living. They have programs during the day, but everything requires assisted living and I do not need assistance in living. Their activities are for those who need assistance rather than for independent individuals. The rooms are very nice and very comfortable. The heating and air-conditioning is very adequate. There's nothing wrong with the accommodations at all. There's nothing wrong with the programs at all for the assisted living residents that are here. There's nothing wrong with the facility at all. I'm very pleased with the activity here for them. The food is great. They do a great job. I have a two-room apartment, fundamentally. It's very small and it's $10,800 a month."

"Benchmark Senior Living at Robbins Brook was excellent. It was very clean, very new-looking, and warm. I only met one person and he was fine. He was great. He knew what he was talking about and answered all my questions quickly and easily."

"The Highlands Gracious Retirement has many of the things that my husband was looking for. It had features not only for women, but also for men to get involved. The staff was very cordial. Their food was very good. The apartments seemed to be clean and well-kept. They have a three-season room, and people go out there to socialize. There are also many other areas where you can sit and socialize with people. The person who gave me the tour was very pleasant. They answered all the questions."

"Scandinavian Living Center was an absolutely lovely facility. Great staff, beautiful, lots of recreational and educational opportunities, and good food. It had beautiful rooms, small, intimate settings. You name it, they have it: music, dance, games, outside speakers coming in, and community organizations that meet in the building so the seniors can participate. You basically have a little apartment with a little bit of a kitchenette, but they had communal meals too."
