"I was at All American Assisted Living at Wareham for a cookout. The place was friendly. It's relatively new, so the whole place was clean and well-kept. I passed by the dining area and it was very nice. It had tablecloths in it. The employees were friendly and nice, too. A woman named Bonnie has invited me to come back for another cookout. Everybody that I saw was sitting outdoors at tables and chairs taking part in this cookout, and they had live music. It was a pleasant place."

"This is a very nice facility. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to ensure that the family feels welcome when visiting their loved ones. I have called numerous times and always forget the room number of my family member and they know who she is by first name and her exact room number. The building itself is clean and smells good. My family member is very happy with her room and with the meals she receives. She would prefer a private room to a shared one but that is unavailable at this point. She also likes the activities that are available to her and enjoys watching TV with the other residents in the recreation room. We, the family, really appreciate how attentive the staff is to any changes our family member might be going through. If she has a bad day they are very aware of it and let us know what happened and why they think she was agitated. They spend the time to chat with her and make her tranistion from being independent to now being under their care a seamless one. We are very happy to have found this facility. "

"Laurentide at Mashpee Commons was quiet and not huge. The facility was new. One of the little apartments had an alcove, which was really cute. They had a big common area in the back that kind of tied everything together. It was beautiful. They had a huge fireplace in a room where they can watch movies or something at night. They provide a microwave and a refrigerator. You have to bring your own furniture. The staff was very nice and personable. I liked her a lot."

"Decatur House was very, very nice. The owner operators were extremely attentive and thoughtful. It was a small family run business. It's got nice grounds, and the rooms were lovely. We didn't really look into the activities because my sister isn't really interested in any of those. It's been recently renovated."

"I visited Cape Cod Senior Residences. It's a small assisted living place in Bourne and it's one large building. I spoke to two residents there who were very satisfied. I checked the dining areas and one of the rooms. There were several small dining areas where the residents could do their cooking or they could do it in their own apartments. It's very clean, too. My only problem was it's more for people who are up to a certain income and mine was too high. The person who assisted me during the tour was very knowledgeable and very helpful."

"The facility we found was The Woodlands at Pleasant Bay, and it's excellent. The people are very caring with the residents that are there. The residents themselves are very friendly. They created a culture where everybody seems to care about other people, so it has a very friendly atmosphere. If there is ever any issue, they call me. I think itÕs an excellent facility, and I am very glad that we placed my mother there. ItÕs a little bit pricey, but extremely good. "

"We were able to see a variety of apartments at Heritage at Falmouth that were very nice, very bright, airy, and seemed to have ample room. They had a movie theater and a very nice kitchen that anyone could use. They had rooms that you could reserve if you wanted to do family parties, which was nice. They had lovely grounds, walking trails, and playground areas in case grandchildren were visiting. The staff was very friendly and very nice while we were there. The place was in excellent condition. The dining room and menus looked very nice. They had quite a variety, and it looked like they could accommodate just about any kind of meal plan that you would need. "

"I helped a client downsize and move into Laurelwood. She was looking for a community where there was great socialization and opportunities to pursue her painting and get involved with the social activities while still having her independence and a place to feel like she really belonged. From the first meeting at Laurelwood, the staff were very warm, caring and compassionate, making my client feel at home and as if she had been there her whole life. I've gone to visit my client from time to time and she is always so happy and pleased with all that is offered at Laurelwood and how the staff treat her! She feels like the Queen Bee! I've also noticed how everyone knows her! Laurelwood is an excellent choice for anyone looking into Assisted Livings as they make each resident feel welcomed, loved and entertained, yet maintaining their independence. "
