The Mill Hill Residences is such a warm and inviting community. My mother has been a resident for the last 18 months and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the food, staff, rooms, activities etc. My siblings and I feel fortunate to have found such a perfect fit for our mom!

My mother moved into Maplewood At Mill Hill a little over a year ago. Since then, her condition has actually improved! They provide structure ,as well as, activities which have helped her tremendously.

I placed my cousin at Mill Hill, August,2021. I chose Mill Hill from numerous other facilities based on the outstanding introduction by Pam and the activity director , Kelly. Their enthusiasm and professionalism is commendable. The facility is beautiful and always immaculate . My cousin is exceptionally cared for by her nurturing caregivers. Communication is fluid from Darrell And his predecessor , Joanna. There is no other setting I would chose .

The Residence at Mill Hill has been a wonderful experience for my mom. Everything, from the grounds to the apartments, is immaculate and comforting. The interior design is wonderful and makes it feel like a well-appointed home. The staff is warm, friendly, and attentive to everyone. From the moment you step into the concierge area they make you feel welcome and like family. They are willing to meet and discuss any individualized concerns whenever needed, and they offer a wide variety of services and care. My mom has made miraculous improvements at Mill Hill. We know we made the right decision moving her there, and she agrees wholeheartedly. Her health, diet, memory, and physical condition have all improved dramatically, and she enjoys her daily social experiences, activities, and bus rides. Due to these improvements, her level of care has decreased, and as a result, her cost of care has actually decreased as well. Mill Hill is a great choice. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality care outside the home.

The experience at Maplewood has been great for Mom. She was at home with caregiver services and it was difficult for her. The community environment and the care staff have made a big difference for her. She is doing much better at Maplewood.

I am most impressed with the warmth of the staff starting with the Concierge at the front desk all the way to the aides who wheel my father into breakfast every day. The ambiance of Mill Hill is peaceful and quite beautiful. It feels good to enter the premises. It also feels good to depart knowing that my 98 year old father is not only taken care of - but truly appreciated and acknowledged. I thank the stars every day he is there.

Maplewood at Mill Hill was new. Their accommodations were more like apartments and suites, and they were nice. It's very comfortable and pretty. I visited the memory care and they had function rooms, beautiful dining rooms, bars, and outdoor areas for the residents. The director and the receptionist were also very nice.

We are leaning towards Maplewood At Mill Hill because it was nice and new, and we are very happy with it. The staff who gave us the tour was very good. I saw a very nice studio room. It was small but very applicable to what we would need. I also saw a 2-bedroom apartment.

Having to move your family member into an Assisted Living location is not an easy decision. Mill Hill was not the first place we brought our Dad - the first location was a beautiful spot - but terrible service and care - and we were constantly getting increases and new fees. It was all about the money there. Mill Hill was an amazing move for my Dad - everyone cared for him, like a family member. It made the tough transition so much easier for us. Money was barely discussed and no hidden fees and increases like we experienced before. The memory care was bright and welcoming, and the rooms look like apartments. And the halls and common areas were clean and beautiful. The dining room did not have a facility feel to it and they even had separate dining room area if you wanted to have a private meal with your family.

Mill Hill Residence was big. The staff was nice, but they did not seem particularly warm like I didn't feel as though they were very interested in catering to specific needs. The parking was OK then we just saw a tour of the rooms, we didn't see too much else there. As far as the facility goes, it was very clean and well kept up, but it's a modern design, so it does not feel warm. It felt cold and the decoration was very commercial-like. It's not home-like. I was not impressed. The carpet was sort of stripy and that is hard for elders to keep their balance on. I thought it was poorly designed, even though it's lovely. If someone was coming there to visit on a vacation with the family, it would be fine, but it felt much more institutional than the other two places that I visited.

After a lot of looking and comparing it was an easy decision to choose Mill Hill Residence as the place my aunt. The leadership and staff were patient and supportive in helping to insure a smooth and pleasant life style change that my aunt was facing. After six months she has adapted very well greatly due to the skill and attention of the Mill Hill staff. It is very reassuring to our family to know she is getting the best care possible

“What I love most about Mill Hill is the staff. They treat my mom - and make her feel - like family. She’s flourished since she moved in there. She’s always been a fussy eater but eats ALL three meals a day there and raves about the food!”
