"My father-in-law is at Pleasant Bay Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It's a great group of professionals who came along fine and helped out my father-in-law to the point where he's sorry, he's leaving, which is amazing to me. He likes the food a lot. The staff is very friendly, very attentive, very patient, and very timely. You didn't have to wait, when you needed somebody, very long at all. The physical therapists were fantastic. The doctors were stretched and it might be because we had a couple of holidays while he was in there. The weekends are a bit slower. It's really good, but the facility is a little bit dated."

"The caring of the staff is evident. The dining room is elegant, food beautifully served. There were optional programs available to participate in; the grounds are lovely. "

"This is a very nice facility. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to ensure that the family feels welcome when visiting their loved ones. I have called numerous times and always forget the room number of my family member and they know who she is by first name and her exact room number. The building itself is clean and smells good. My family member is very happy with her room and with the meals she receives. She would prefer a private room to a shared one but that is unavailable at this point. She also likes the activities that are available to her and enjoys watching TV with the other residents in the recreation room. We, the family, really appreciate how attentive the staff is to any changes our family member might be going through. If she has a bad day they are very aware of it and let us know what happened and why they think she was agitated. They spend the time to chat with her and make her tranistion from being independent to now being under their care a seamless one. We are very happy to have found this facility. "

"The staff at Decatur House was lovely. The people who owned it were very attentive and caring. It's a small family-owned place, which gave it an entirely different feel than the other places. This would have been our top choice had we been able to convince my parents-in-law to move. The rooms were open, roomy, and efficiently designed. The entire place was very accessible too. It was easy to park, easy to see the signage, and easy to find the entrance. Since it's smaller than a lot of places, it was much more accessible. Their dining area was bright, open, and looked like a dining area in a restaurant. It's very lovely and very nicely appointed. We ran into some of the residents and they looked happy and comfortable as well. It's a very big house, but it looked like someone's home. It was very nice and immaculate."

"Laurentide at Mashpee Commons was quiet and not huge. The facility was new. One of the little apartments had an alcove, which was really cute. They had a big common area in the back that kind of tied everything together. It was beautiful. They had a huge fireplace in a room where they can watch movies or something at night. They provide a microwave and a refrigerator. You have to bring your own furniture. The staff was very nice and personable. I liked her a lot."

"My sister will be moving into the Cape Cod Senior Residences. It was a smaller place than the others we had visited, and that's what my sister was looking for. It was cozier and more like home. My sister will have a kitchenette, and it has a small refrigerator and a microwave. There is no stovetop. It has a huge bedroom. It is nice and roomy. The living room is a good size, and the bathroom is huge. The kitchenette is part of the living room, but off to the side. It's just nicely made. She has a window. The staff was awesome and very down to earth. She wasn't pushy or anything, and she seemed to care about the patients. Everybody knew her. She seemed like the kind of person who always has a smile on her face. She had a nice personality. The facility smells nice. Everything is clean. You can tell it's always been maintained, and that includes the outside as well."

"My mother is in Laurelwood at The Pinehills. It's new and modern, and it has a full kitchen in their assisted living apartments. They do a lot of activities. They have arts, computer classes, cards, and music, and they take the people to outdoor activities like fishing trips, art fairs, and the farmers market -- they take them everywhere. They also take them to doctor's appointments two days a week for those who don't have family nearby. I'm very happy with the staff. "
