"Allerton House at Central Park is very nice. The location is good. There are plenty of grounds to walk outside. The staff was really very friendly. They were quite nice. The facility is newer and very bright. There is a lot of natural sunlight and a lot of bright colors. It feels almost like a resort hotel, so it is very nice. I enjoyed that tour."

"I liked Allerton House at Harbor Park very much. It's very bright and has a very warm feeling. My mother did end up going into the memory unit. I can't say enough good things about it. I think it will be a very enriching and safe place for her to be. The food is good. The staff is very kind, they know everybody's name, they know my name, and they always have a smile on their faces. They're very involved with the residents. It is in excellent condition. It's a very good fit, and the activities are incredible. They have six people that work five-hour shifts seven days a week just doing activities with the residents from cooking, to singing, to gardening. They have exercise people come in for yoga, Zumba, dancing, and painting."

"Orchard Cove was second on our list. Our tour was a very good experience. The facility was clean. The community was welcoming. The staff person who toured us was very knowledgeable and very responsive to our questions. We were very impressed with it. The dining area was very comfortable, very warm, and very welcoming. They had a flower bed, and vegetable garden for the residents, and they had patios to sit on when it was warm. They had a walking path, which is important for us."

"All American Assisted Living at Wareham was a very nice assisted living community. I say it's a very nice assisted living community. Everything was nice from the rooms to the living areas, to the staff, and the outdoor areas were beautiful. A lot of things to engage their tenants. They had a nice dining room. Plus they had a nice cafe. If you didn't want to eat in the big dining room, you could eat in the cafe. They have a little pub in there, where I think they have little happy hours, get-togethers daily. They have trips. You can go to your medical appointments with the van that goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Free laundry. If you're going to do it yourself, or somebody in your family, I think it's a small fee if you have somebody there to do it for you. Just very cozy. Lots of activities. It's very nice."

"My sister is at Sophia Snow Place. It's very comfortable and well-furnished. The food is good, and I like that. I don't think they have enough staffing though. With regard to activities, the only thing she attends is the poetry group. She doesn't care to be engaged in anything else. Her room is spacious. She has a double bed in there. She has a recliner and another chair, and she's able to hang all the paintings that she loves. The place is clean, too."

"We toured All American Assisted Living at Wrentham. I thought it was very nice. It's just the price was higher and the rooms the rooms were shared, rather than your own room, which is not what we were looking for, but it's a beautiful facility. I did not have a meal. They had displayed the evening meal, which is their lighter meal, but it didn't look like a big portion either. Both my husband and I noted that. They had a beautiful library. It's a new building, so everything's very nice. They do have an outer area, it was very nice."

"My mother-in-law moved into Susan Bailis Assisted Living. The facility is bright and welcoming. The people are very friendly. It is a nice place. The staff members are very helpful. My mother-in-law's room is very small, but sunny and modern. It's a one-bedroom. It seems like there are a lot of various activities for residents. They have a beauty salon, a library, a café, and a common room. My mother-in-law seems to really love the food. It's a beautiful building."

"My friend is at The Parc at Harbor View. She seems to like it a lot. We toured 10 different places, but they were all sorts of very hotel-looking. When we went to The Parc, it's a smaller place, and as soon as we walked in, it had a much more homier feeling than others. They have a lot of activities. The people were very warm and friendly. We went there for lunch first. People came up and spoke to her, and we didn't find that in the other places. My friend's room is a studio, but it's a huge studio, and it's very nice. I was very impressed with it. The staff members were very nice, warm, and friendly. The activities director came over and asked her what she liked to do. She explained to her what they had for games and things like that. No one else had really done that. I had lunch there, and it was very good. My friend has only been there a couple of weeks, but she's happy, and I think it's a very good fit for her. The activities are games, movies, art, crafts, and all that kind of thing."

"I was able to visit Providence House, and the experience was very positive. It has a steel feel to it. No frills. I met their marketing personnel. I had lunch there, and the food was excellent. I have now decided to move there. The atmosphere also I felt that I fit in the place. I received their full package of information, and I was impressed with the scope of the activities available. The staff was very responsive. "

"I had moved into Wingate Residences at Needham, but I had to move out again, not that I got sick and nobody around me got sick, but I knew I'd be in lockdown in their senior living and that would defeat the purpose of my living there, so I moved back home. I was there for a couple of weeks. They were very nice. It was a lovely place. They provide excellent service, good food, and things that you would hope for, but I didn't want to be isolated. There's a library, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a theater, but I couldn't take advantage of any of these things because of the Covid lockdown. I had two Covid tests, so I had to stay in quarantine the whole time. The physical appearance was beautiful. I had a little experience with the activities. I heard an excellent lecture on my first day, but then I had to go on quarantine, so I didn't get to experience anything."

"We chose Whalers Cove because of proximity, cost, and everything in it. My mother loves the food and she's got a very nice apartment. The place is huge. There are different areas where she can go without even having to leave the building, like a little garden and a good view inside. She's very pleased there. At this point, she's been very well taken care of and they've been great to the family, so I can't really complain about anything. "

"My mom will be moving into Clifton Assisted Living. It's a beautiful facility. It's well-maintained. It's very, very clean, and smells good. It's just very warm, and we got a really good vibe when we first walked in. The staff there are very friendly and nice, and what we love the most is the people milling around, and everyone seemed happy and it was an active place. It just seemed like a great, great place. The residents were in the recreation room. They were playing pool, the women were playing pool, which we thought was fun. And a lot of people were sitting out in their cafe area, outside of their dining area, and many people were sitting there and enjoying themselves. They spoke with us when we came through, and told us that they enjoyed that part. It's a very social place."

"Chapel Hill Senior Living was exceptionally beautiful inside. They had an apartment that would be very, very doable for me and my husband. He's wheelchair-bound most of the time so that worked, as long as he can do transfers, which he can. The building itself and everything was very, very nice. When I walked in, I felt like I had just come home. I was there when they were serving meals because they went to the dining room, and the food looked really good, but I haven't tried it yet. They have a garden club where they actually grow their own vegetables and then they give them to the kitchen, so the kitchen can use them in all their meals. They have a happy hour. They have activities every day. They go out on activities. They will also bring you to doctors' appointments if you have an appointment, but also they have a doctor that will come in. They have podiatry. They will come in and clip your toenails. They have a lot of different things like that. They have entertainment. It seemed like it was a good fit, but not an overwhelming fit. The staff during the tour is Bethany. She was fabulous. She will go as far as coming to our house to kind of give my husband an overview of what everything's about and bring him some kind of dessert. She'll go out of her way for you. My son and daughter and daughter-in-law had a tour after I had a tour and they were very impressed with it, too, and they liked her. I got to meet the nurse over there and she was very nice. Everybody was just friendly. They call all the residents by name. It's a happy environment. It was totally clean. I didn't come across any area that wasn't clean."
