Benchmark Senior Living at Plymouth Crossings is reasonably priced and small. There's 24-hours care there if my mom gets up at night and goes to the bathroom and stuff like that. Some of the others were just too big and they weren't going around to check on everybody. She's in assisted living. They help her with medications, bathing, and if she needs to get up they'll come and assist her to the bathroom. We like that she lives downstairs and is just down the hall. It's not like a huge building where she has to walk a lot. They cater to her and they have a lot of activities. The staff is also excellent. Her room is nice though it's not the biggest thing. She has a roommate on the other side and they share a kitchenette and a bathroom. She has her own separate room and they share a kitchen area with tables and chairs and a little refrigerator. They have music every Friday or Thursday night. They have a cocktail hour too, I just don't know if they're real cocktails or that's maybe wine. The location is easy to get to from the highway. They have transportation back and forth to doctor's appointments. They have a little minivan for any doctor's appointment that would require her to leave the facility. They have an in-house doctor too and they do all her medication twice a day. She says the food is really good. They have snacks and coffee that you can get whenever you want. Now because of COVID, you can go visit, but you have to stay contained. She goes to the dining area, but she can't have her husband go in there. They serve them lunch, it's a big meal, at the table. Whoever walks in, they take a temperature. This place is a lot cheaper than a lot of the other ones.

Benchmark Senior Living at Plymouth Crossings has been fabulous and the staff is wonderful. The facility is very clean and the food is fantastic. We chose it for my dad because all these things shine through. I dont think anyone there is truly at work because I think they're doing what they love. They have tons of activities like musical guests coming in, comedians, plays, reading, and bingo. There are always five or six things a day that come up that you have the opportunity to partake in. It's very expensive though because insurance doesn't cover it even though my dad has Medicare.

My father is in Benchmark Senior Living at Plymouth Crossings. The staff is wonderful. His room is wonderful and just what we wanted. There's a little kitchen area, but there's no place to cook. They do all kinds of activities, and they include everybody, which is nice. They have a book room and physical therapy comes in. I like how they treat them. He may have Alzheimer's, but they treat him like a human being and a regular person. He's on pureed diet only, and he eats it all. It's not cheap, but it's not as expensive as other places. It's very clean.

We went to Benchmark Senior Living at Plymouth Crossings. The staff members seemed very caring, and it seemed to have a good, homey atmosphere. The apartments were nice and a little old but adequate. The activities and outings were probably one of the best things about it. The grounds were nice and had a nice walking area. The location was convenient.

Mom has been there for 1 month and has really started to thrive. The people are so friendly and nice. She has a studio, but it is enough space with the bedroom and closet being somewhat separated from the kitchenette/sitting area.. We didn't want her sitting in her room all day anyway, as they have so many activities. When she got there she used her wheelchair all the time. Now she is up and walking with her walker everywhere. Mom is 90 and really wanted to live at home, but after a couple of falls and needing full time help, we thought assisted living would be best, for her mentally and physically. She has friends there now and loves the food - great menu choices. We tried her living in another facility that was new and beautiful, but much to big and not as personal as Plymouth Crissings, so she moved and is doing great. Staff is fantastic!

We really like Benchmark Senior Living at Plymouth Crossing. The staff was excellent, and they made you feel very much at home. They have very good people taking care of the residents. They all smile, and they all seemed to care. In the other places we went to, we did not get that same feeling. They seem to have a higher price than the others, but that may be because of a better quality of care that mom could have at this facility. They have a lot of activities everyday. The two units of care interact together during dinner so that they will feel comfortable with each other. It’s so much family-like, and that’s what we like about the facility. The dining area is nice too. The room we are looking at for mom is a shared room, but she has her own bedroom door which is nice because she can have her own privacy if she wants to. The staff were friendly, and they have been working there for a while which proves that they are happy working there.

We looked at Benchmark. I did not choose it because it was a little bit more expensive. However, it was very nice and had lots of activities, which would have been really great. I just did not really think that it would benefit my mom that well. They had a big, huge dining hall, which I thought would be overwhelming for her, but they seemed like a great and lovely place.

My father spent the last few months of his life at Plymouth Crossings. His apartment was very nice. Dad was impressed with the staff, service, and food. I visited and was similarly impressed. He told me he was very comfortable there even though he had serious reservations about moving out of his home and into an assisted living. His companion of many years moved there after she and her family had visited my Dad a number of times.

There were a lot of activities at Plymouth Crossings like singing, exercise, arts and crafts, sports night, etc. The rooms were smaller compared to the other place I visited. But it seemed like a place where my father-in-law might get lost since he had a little memory loss. He might not be comfortable there.

The services they provided are very good and they are very caring. They have a 24-hour staff that monitors the residents and I think that is very good. The lady whom we talked gave a lot of information to us. I notice that the living space is a little bit small. They have a library, TV, and computers. Overall, it was a nice experience visiting Plymouth.

Plymouth Crossing is the best place I could have chosen for my parents, who both have Alzheimer's. The care of the staff is especially obvious, from the director to the nurses to the business manager to the front desk people to the bus drivers to the chef and servers in the dining room. My parents' care is based on their individual needs and personalities. I attend the support groups and informational groups, which help so much, and I can check in anytime with questions. My parents, especially my dad, were so against moving from their home, but they feel so comfortable with their apartment, and with all the people that deal with them. The entire staff seems well educated on dementia/Alzheimer's no matter what their actual job is. My mother loves to be involved in activities, and she receives the guidance she needs to be comfortable doing that. My father, never having been a very social person, enjoys being around people without being involved in "formal" activities. He likes to sit adjacent to the lobby, where he can see people and visit with a few. The staff makes him feel welcome doing that and involved in different ways than my mother is. I would highly recommend that anyone with family members who have dementia difficulties consider Plymouth Crossing as a safe, comfortable and friendly living situation for their loved ones.
