"Hannah B.G. Shaw Home was a good nursing home. Everybody wants to get into it, but the buildings were a lot older. My wife was there for rehab, and it was pretty good. The food was good, too. They kept the place clean. The staff members were very good and very professional. It's a big nursing home, but I didn't see many activities."

"What I like about Royal is that it's close to my house and I can just visit my Aunt anytime. The nurses and staff working there were very good and I have no complaints about them. She is in a 3 bedroom but she has dementia so she is not in her room too often. I haven't heard her complaining about the food. Other people have but she is not complaining so that's fine. "

"I liked the location of Kindred Transitional Care and the caring, friendly staff. The patients and the staff seemed to engage with one another, but they don’t have enough staff members. They keep the family informed. My stepfather is comfortable. "

"I've been to Nemasket Healthcare Center many, many times. It's a nursing home and my husband's grandmother is a resident there, so we've gone there for years now. It's very clean, well-staffed, and the patients' rooms are very spacious. It’s nice and all on one floor. All the rooms have beautiful views of green areas with trees and flowers. The staff is very responsive to the patients' needs. I've never had an issue with them being short-staffed, which is nice. They're also just very, very nice and easygoing. The food is very good, as well."

"My father is now in his late 80s and has been at this facility for for nearly 3 years (skilled care). We've had a few minor complaints, which were quickly addressed, but overall the care has been excellent. Nursing staff seems particularly well qualified and dedicated, and we are always notified quickly of any medical changes or events. Social workers/activities people are friendly and schedule a lot of activities for residents. Dad is a veteran and they go out of their way to recognize vets on veteran-related holidays. They also put on great activities around normal holidays, for both residents and family. Food is above average, but for special events it is actually good. The facility is clean and looks recently updated. There is a large central courtyard that is nicely landscaped and is a good place to spend time with family. All of the resident rooms appear to get plenty of sun. The location couldn't be better - quiet and away from traffic and the area gets cool breezes from Cape Cod Bay. It is situated on a small hill overlooking the Cape Cod Canal (about a football field away). But it's not isolated - there is small Shopping Center with a Stop & Shop and a few decent restaurants minutes away. Also a few motels within minutes. Recommend. "

"My mom stayed in Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility for rehab. They did occupational and physical therapy, fed her, took care of her, and exercised her. They painted her nails. They had animals come in, had music, people played the piano, and they had games. So, there was a lot of stuff going on for her. They were caring, attentive, and punctual with her meals and pills. It was a clean environment. They did keep it sanitary. The rooms were very comfortable, but there were no air conditioners in the summer. Sometimes she had roommates. Sometimes she didn't, but it was nice. They had curtains separating them, and they each had their own TV. They could pick what they wanted to eat off a menu. So, they had their choice of food, which was very nice. The menu had a wide variety. My mother loved desserts. So, she loved her ice cream, cookies, cakes, and puddings. She loved all the sweet stuff. She did enjoy that. Whenever she needed water, they came right away. So, I was very comfortable with her there. They also had a very nice dining room with chandeliers. It was a very nice seating area."

"SACHEM WAS TAKEN OVER A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO BY NATIONAL HEALTH CARE AND THEY HAVE DONE A WONDERFUL JOB TURNING THE FACILTY AROUND. MY MOTHER LIVES THERE AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. AMAZINGLY CLEAN, FULLY STAFFED, WONDERFUL SERVICE. STAFF IS ON TOP OF EVERYTHING AND ALWAYS PLEASANT. ON THE DEMNTIA WING THEY ACTUALLY TAKE THE EXTRA EFFORT TO BRING THE RESIDENTS INTO THE DINING ROOMS FOR LUNCH AND SUPPER, INSTEAD OF HAVING THEM EAT IN THEIR ROOMS. A SPECIAL PLACE..."

"My dad went in Life Care Center of the South Shore for rehab, and he's in hospice care now. It's a typical nursing home setup, and it?s very hospital looking, but the care he's getting is really good. He's very comfortable, and his needs are being met. We feel very good that he's probably at the best place for him at this point. The staff is great, and there aren't many amenities, but they have an activity area and physical therapy in a well-equipped gym. They show movies, and they have musicians and entertainment come in."

"They place patient care at the top if thier priorities. My mom has severe alz/dementia and I feel very comfortable leaving here here. They communicate with us and take her care seriously."

"My sister is at Sippican Health Care Center. She has rehab and medical care. It's a wonderful facility. It's very, very good, very clean, well-organized, and very caring. The care is very good. What I can't get over is how immaculate it is, it is so clean. The food is very good. I haven't tried it, but my sister enjoys it very much. It's very nutritional, healthy, and well-made. They're very, very good. The staff is very caring, helpful, and attentive. I'm not sure exactly what they charge, but whatever it is, I'm sure it's well worth it because it's a beautiful place."

"The rooms are semi private and the staff is lovely attentive and caring. The nursing home is very involved with the Veterans and always have a new and fun activity. Telephones in rooms are great and cable is free!"

"My sister was in Spaulding Rehabilitation for rehab and this place was amazing, it was top-notch. The rehabilitation was amazing, and the doctors and nurses were very receptive. My sister went into an eight-hour period, between four and a half to five hours a day in rehab, and it was very widespread. They went from memory care to practicing speech, to arm control, hand control, leg control, walking in and out, dressing, everything. They also included how to prepare yourself for showers and getting clean. My sister had no ability to even move the arm or leg on her left side, and when they got her down to Spaulding, it was amazing how her recovery came. She's able to use a walker, and speech and everything almost came back to normal. They helped her improve tremendously, the ability of what Spaulding did was like a miracle, it was fantastic, and they worked hard with her. The place is brand new, it's only been there for like three or four years. It's fantastic, well-groomed, well-maintained, very clean, and very aesthetic. It's very well-organized and set up in terms of how you get in and get out, the security is very well done. The food was amazing, it's like gourmet and was very good. There were areas where she could do some socialization with people, so she would actually eat meals with other people, and she got along with her roommate. Most of the activities were pretty O.T., and she would do it with other patients, so the activities were primarily oriented towards rehab."
