"My dad went in Life Care Center of the South Shore for rehab, and he's in hospice care now. It's a typical nursing home setup, and it?s very hospital looking, but the care he's getting is really good. He's very comfortable, and his needs are being met. We feel very good that he's probably at the best place for him at this point. The staff is great, and there aren't many amenities, but they have an activity area and physical therapy in a well-equipped gym. They show movies, and they have musicians and entertainment come in."

"We like that Pope Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center is not huge and it's more homey. It's like a giant house with a huge front porch veranda. They have people sit out there in the summer. It's nice. My mother is going to have a two bedroom and a big bathroom. The sunroom is literally seven feet from her door. They do gardening in there and exercise, so we like the location of the room. She's going to the nursing home level. They have gardening and exercise. They had entertainers come in and when we were there, they were doing karaoke in the dining room. They have the brass band thing on the lawn in the summer. It is probably around 4th of July. The residents like that. That's something they do every year. It's also close to where my husband and I live and a few of my sons live near it. The staff is very nice and informative. They have wallpaper borders and stuff like that, so it hasn't been updated, but it looked nice."

"It's like a home and the residents are like one big family... and it's small so each person gets a lot of attention... my nana was there for many years."

"My husband is in Royal Rehab and Nursing Center. The place is nice, big and clean. It is our choice because it is close by and convenient to home in going back and forth to visit. The personnel are very warm and friendly. They are profession but makes you feel like he is at home. My husband is in a shared room. It is set up more like your own bedroom and very spacious. The food is very nice. The have a lot activities and it depends on what floor you are in. My husband is in the dementia floor and they have a lot of activities every day. They have a playroom where they can play cards, read, watch TV and talk to other patients. They have an extra side lounge if the family comes up. If you want to be private, you can go private. If you want to mingle with the other patients, that is fine too. I also like that they take them on a tour. "

"I was in Alliance Health Center at Braintree last year. They didn't get people out of bed, and I really deteriorated because of that. I went in with very strong arms and no arm problems, and I went out very weak. The physical therapists came and they tried, but they didn't do very well. The physical therapy was all right, but the rest of them was not good. The food was alright. They didn't get me out of bed, and it caused a lot of problems. I really don't like Alliance. Basically, they played bingo; I didn't play. The old ladies loved it because they get $50 if they win. The facilities were alright; they were good. However, I didn't get what I paid for. I didn't think it was good at all because of the way they handled things. It was convenient to where I live."

"I recently broke my ankle and was sent to John Scott for rehab. I was a little concerned about a rehab/nursing home in general based on the horrible perceptions of such facilities. All my fears and concerns were almost immediately eliminated after only a few days at this facility. I found senior management to be highly visible, extremely approachable and sincerely caring. Head nurses were continuously consulted by staff and extremely concerned with resident comfort and safety. Duty nurses were prompt, professional and caring in the discharge of their duties and all aids were prompt, compassionate and pleasant when called upon. I would highly recommend this facility to all patients requiring such services "

"I visited my old friend who has been there for more than five years this week and I couldn't believe the changes I saw in the facility. It looks very festive and vibrant, it was not like this when I visited last year. I am happy that my friend looks clean and shaved and dresses nicely. The facility has completely changed for the better. They told me they have a very good nursing director who cares for the residents. Hope this will continue, I can not wait to come back next year. Very impressed!"

"When you first walk it the building looks old, but it is really clean. And the Nurses and P/T, O/T and the rest of the staff are the most amazing, compassionate and caring people I have ever met. They took excellent care of my Dad after he suffered a stroke. They were so accommodating with the food to be sure he ate something he liked. The kitchen staff goes out of their way to make the patient happy. There are lots of activities. The people that lived there were very busy and very HAPPY. They were clean and dressed everyday. When you would met them in the hallway they would talk to you and you could tell they enjoyed their "home". I knew when I left that my Dad would be well taken care of by the wonderful group of nurses and staff. "

"My mother is at South Cove Manor. The place is well-kept/clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. She's well cared for, and because it's mainly an Asian place, my mother is able to communicate with them. I would highly recommend it to anybody. They have single rooms and shared rooms, and they're clean and well-kept. It's very bright and cheery. Food is OK, and my mother hasn't complained. I'm not really there to see what they offer, but they had group activities, and they played bingo games. This is all before the pandemic. She only had activities for a couple of months, and then it had stopped because of the pandemic. The staff members are excellent. They're very helpful. They call me with any questions or any problems that they may run into, so I get a phone call right away. As far as I can see, they're very attentive to my mother."

"I visited this facility to see my great grandmother. She was living there because she had Alzheimer's Disease, and they seemed to take great care of her. We arrived before we were visiting hours and were able to see her for a minute interacting with others and doing an activity to help her memory. The care I saw at the facility was excellent and the nurses and aids seemed like they really cared about all of the people in need of assisted living. Also, the center was very well kept and clean when my family visited. It was a beautiful building and very nice on the inside, as well. My great grandmother told us that she actually felt comfortable and happy there. She said she thought that the nurses were very helpful and caring all of the time. She said she had never had any problems with anyone who worked there. I think it is a great place for assisted living because my great grandmother tends to be stubborn, and she actually enjoys living there. "

"We like the staff at Hancock Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. My sister was in rehab upstairs. The staff was very helpful. We thought she was going to move downstairs after she got out of rehab, but her money was going to run out and everything would cost extra down there. They've got an activity room. They have drawing boards. They have speakers come in occasionally. They have a lot of outdoor walking when the weather's better. They're out in the woods there. She was in rehab most of the time and she didn't like that upstairs especially. Speech therapy was up there quite often, but they didn't have much else for her up in rehab, because they didn't let her out of bed. She was quite restricted. Medicare was paying for that."
