"Allerton House at Proprietors Green looked beautiful, was very open, and very well decorated. It has plenty of activities and it's in a great location because there's a supermarket or a restaurant within 300 yards of the facility. The staff was very welcoming and very knowledgeable. There were many staff members interacting with each other and with my brother and I. They answered all of our questions. It's very well laid out, and there are a lot of room options."

"I toured Orchard Cove. The amenities are overwhelming. They have a magnificent pool that has an everyday lifeguard. They have all kinds of classes that take place in the pool, from water aerobics to water volleyball. They have a full-sized gym with two trainers full-time, which is incredible. They have four dining rooms. They have a beautiful library, and it's decorated beautifully. The lobby is magnificent. Just everything that I saw was very, very appealing. The apartments look terrific. Most of them have screened-in porches. It is not inexpensive, and that will be the only question that I would have. I still have to work out the numbers, because it is quite up there in terms of expense. I toured their independent living, and then they also have enhanced living -- which is the same as assisted living -- and skilled nursing care if needed. They have different contracts and different amounts of money for all of those things. The apartments have full kitchens, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, a washer-dryer, and a step/walk-in shower. It was really quite impressive. The person who took me around was quite excellent. Very informed and very helpful. Everybody in the place that I was introduced to was delightful. It was just a delightful place. It made a very strong impression. The staff was very knowledgeable. They also have underground parking. They're affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and they have a full-time doctor onsite five days a week, and there are two nurse practitioners who are there all the time. In the assisted living area they have other nurses available in case of an emergency or something like that."

"My friend is at The Parc at Harbor View. She seems to like it a lot. We toured 10 different places, but they were all sorts of very hotel-looking. When we went to The Parc, it's a smaller place, and as soon as we walked in, it had a much more homier feeling than others. They have a lot of activities. The people were very warm and friendly. We went there for lunch first. People came up and spoke to her, and we didn't find that in the other places. My friend's room is a studio, but it's a huge studio, and it's very nice. I was very impressed with it. The staff members were very nice, warm, and friendly. The activities director came over and asked her what she liked to do. She explained to her what they had for games and things like that. No one else had really done that. I had lunch there, and it was very good. My friend has only been there a couple of weeks, but she's happy, and I think it's a very good fit for her. The activities are games, movies, art, crafts, and all that kind of thing."

"Sophia Snow Place was pleasant. I had no issues with it; it just wouldn't serve my friend's purposes. It was clean, the people were friendly, and they seemed to enjoy living there. The person who I spoke with was very pleasant."

"We looked at Wingate Residences at Silver Lake. It was pleasant. The staff was very nice, very helpful, and very kind. The facility was very nice, clean, and bright. The apartment we saw was nice, it was decent-sized. It was close to our house. It was reasonably priced compared to another facility we looked at."

"I had moved into Wingate Residences at Needham, but I had to move out again, not that I got sick and nobody around me got sick, but I knew I'd be in lockdown in their senior living and that would defeat the purpose of my living there, so I moved back home. I was there for a couple of weeks. They were very nice. It was a lovely place. They provide excellent service, good food, and things that you would hope for, but I didn't want to be isolated. There's a library, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a theater, but I couldn't take advantage of any of these things because of the Covid lockdown. I had two Covid tests, so I had to stay in quarantine the whole time. The physical appearance was beautiful. I had a little experience with the activities. I heard an excellent lecture on my first day, but then I had to go on quarantine, so I didn't get to experience anything."

"I'm currently living in Maplewood at Weston. It's very nice, very clean, but the people that are here are more in need of assistance getting around, meals, etc. I didn't get to meet too many people that I could do much with. I bought into it 6 months ago but I'm not moving up there yet. My room is okay, it's old because the building is older at about 30-35 years old. They needed staff better at the kitchen for waitressing help and so on, but the staff members themselves are very super people. The food was good, I only had dinners there even though three meals a day were offered to me. The meals were really very good, they could stand to be a little hotter, but that happens when you try to feed too many people. From soups to desserts, they're a good size for the elderly because they don't eat that much. They also have activities, exercise classes and a pool. The one thing I didn't care for there was that fire alarms would go off at odd hours and we'd have to wait for the fire department to show up. Then they would lose their power quite often, but the town of Weston is known for that. Luckily there's a generator plugged in each room specially for us on oxygen. I had a washer and dryer on my room, and when it died they found me a new one. The staff was good, I enjoyed most of the staff that I met."

"I was impressed. I liked the way it looked. It was homey; it had a lot of character. It didn't look like a hospital or an institution of any kind. The rooms were spacious. There was a good selection of different sizes. The building is a renovated school that was originally built in the 1800s. They've done a beautiful job with it. The director was very nice and very helpful and gave me her personal cell number if I needed anything. I would recommend going to look at it. "

"I researched the property myself. Upon my findings I found that the facility was very clean, the staff was very helpful and cheery. The marketing director very nice and made me feel right at home, she brought me a glass of wine. I could not believe the dining room was beautiful. I only had one concern was I have family that visits me with their kids. I did not see a place where we could visit together. "

"I like the financial arrangements at Fairing Way. The apartments were very nice and there were lots of activities. They have a restaurant and you can eat there if you want. They have book clubs, walking clubs, dine-out clubs, all kinds of games, and movies. The one I'm looking for would be a one-bedroom with a den and one-and-a-half baths. The person who gave me the tour was great. Everything was great. The meal I had was good."
