"I visited Clifton Assisted Living last week to look at their assisted living. The tour was fine. It was a nice, small community that was very well-kept. I can't comment on the type of care the residents receive, but the place looks very appealing. It was very clean and organized. The staff I met was also fine."

"I toured Brookdale Sakonnet Bay. It was very clean. The people were very friendly. They had lots of activities. The surrounding area was beautiful. They had two large views from the back, like big decks overlooking the bay. It was gorgeous. I did see the dining room, and it was beautiful."

"I liked everything about Orchard Cove. They're well organized and well planned, had beautiful surroundings and beautiful walking paths around. They had very nice, friendly, and helpful people around. The staff during the tour was fantastic. It's an excellent facility. They had a beautiful swimming pool. It's clean and nice. They had a gym and a courtyard. They showed us several rooms and they were wonderful except for the relatively low ceiling. It's in a beautiful park with a river and lake around, walking paths and lots of green. They provide transportation."

"My mom lived in Laurelmead before she passed. It was very nice, but it was very expensive. It had all the amenities; like an exercise room, a swimming pool, and they showed movies there. There are some reasons I wouldn't want to live in a place like that. One of them was that you had to pay for a certain amount of meals and you had to eat in the dining room, but you'd pay for it. You can pick and choose which meals you wanted, but the people there would usually eat dinner in the dining room. They had a cafe where you can get lunch, but then that counted as one of your meals too. I think it was, like, thirty meals a month that you could eat there. She had a kitchen so she could cook. She had a condo. She owned it herself. In fact, it's just sold. It was a really nice place and it was pretty easy to go for nice walks around there. One of the things I liked about it was that there was no golf course. I don't see why people who don't play golf have to pay for a golf course. I hate that. They had a library. In fact, my mom was the librarian for many years. They have yoga classes and sometimes they'd have concerts. Everyone was super nice. Housekeeping was provided and would come in every two weeks and vacuum and clean. They even had a garden. You can have a little space in the garden to grow whatever you wanted."

"They have a very nice facility. It was pretty much on a lake, so some of the rooms I looked at were looking out on to the lake. So it would be nice for my mom. The rooms were great, couple of different sizes. There's a nice dining room if you want to have a party. What I like about The Village at Waterman was they have a doctor right on site, so if they need a doctor they don't have to leave the area. The place was very nice and clean. The night I went there they were having a concert for the people who live there. Honestly, there's not a whole lot that sets it apart from every other one. They're all beautiful. "

"For what I had seen at Cranberry Pond Apartments, I am quite impressed and satisfied. You could have a two-bedroom or a one-bedroom apartment. It had a small balcony and they had a main parking area. "

"Sparrows Point was situated where I am currently living, so I am acquainted with the area. I visited there because I wanted to transfer as soon as there was a vacant room available. It is nice that I could go shopping in the facility if I don't have a car. There was also a bus twice a week and it is for free. They also had execise classes and different trips. For a semi-private facility, it has good quality. "

"My mother is in Atria Harborhill. She has been there for seven years, and it is wonderful. It has been a really positive experience for her. "

"The Enclave of Franklin was really nice. The apartments were really nice. They were a bigger facility with nice grounds and a nice setting. It was very much like a country setting. I had a nice feeling there. There's a lot of land and you drive up to the driveway, and there's a nice building where everything is housed. It's a quiet, relaxing setting. The staff member was so informative and just very genuine to talk to. She's like a member of the family."

"My mom has been in EPOCH for two months now. The facility is clean. Their dining area is lovely, it looks like a restaurant. The food is also excellent. The room that she is staying in is bright and cheery. The staff also seem friendly. They have a lot of activities for their residents like lectures, word-finder games and jeopardy. "

"The Community at Pond Meadow was a very, very nice place. There was only one woman in the office who showed me the Deluxe apartment. It had two bedrooms, two baths, and a small room for TV and whatever you want to put in there. The facility didn't have any pool or restaurant though. I would absolutely still recommend this place though. "

"It was a smaller place. The building was previously a hotel. The rooms were very small. They recently updated the common spaces and that looked nice, with brighter colors and so forth, but it felt a little bit more intimate, a little bit more closed in. The hallways weren't as wide and spacious as the other place. We liked the woman who gave us the tour. She answered a lot of our questions. The thing that we didn't like about it is the size of the rooms. They are extremely small. There is very little storage for clothing and belongings. They have a chapel where they offer Catholic mass six days a week. They have a place where she can have her hair done, a manicure, and an activities area."
