What my mother was looking for was independent living with one meal a day, and apartments that had a kitchen with an actual stove. The other thing that she wanted was a balcony or an outdoor space, and New Pond Village had all of those things. It was a combination of the main things, the location, and the one-meal-a-day plan. They do have step-up care available. You can move to assisted or memory care from there. They've done a lot of recent renovations. The apartment that my mother got is gorgeous. It has a high ceiling and lots of light and windows. The common spaces are very nice. They're attractively laid out. The library is beautiful. The dining room is on the lower floor. It's like a walkout from the lower level basement and that's very pretty. The food was pretty good, there are multiple options, and it's served sit-down style for dinner like you're seated at a table and a staff member comes and takes your order. There's a bunch of things that they always offer at every meal and lots of fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. There's nothing wrong with the place. It's nice, it's just a lot of money. The staff is great.

I did a tour of New Pond Village. I liked that it's near my children and it's not as big as other places. It's very compact and people are friendly. The apartments look like they would suit my needs. I have seen the walking trails, restaurants, amenities, the library, and the people. Overall, the appearance of the place looks very nice. I only met the person who walked around with me, and he was very informative and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions, and he was just the guide. I had an overall favorable opinion of the place. Everything was very clean, well-run, and organized. It's independent living but I believe you can progress to memory care.

New Pond Village was very welcoming and fairly active. It met most of our criteria in terms of community and amenities. We are downsizing so all the rooms and the apartments feel relatively small. Their dining area was adequate. The upkeep and maintenance seemed to be adequate, too, but we were not impressed with the staff person that toured us. We have narrowed it down to four or five places and New Pond Village is one of those places that is still on our possibility list.

New Pond Village was very warm and friendly. It's a little bit smaller than the other place. Other than the fact that they have an indoor pool, it had a nice feel to it. When you walk in, you definitely feel that you're going into the lobby of a facility, as opposed to the other place, which feels like you're going into a high-end hotel lobby. But the friendliness of New Pond Village was incredible. The director of sales was terrific. He was also very, very informed, and gave us all kinds of tips. Their apartments are also very lovely. It's a little less expensive than the other place, but most of the apartments have porches. They're not screened-in porches, but they're porches nonetheless. There's a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in the apartment. There are several places to eat. They have an open bar three days a week and a social hour. He laughed when he said it's supposed to start at 4:00 in the afternoon, but it usually ends up starting a little bit earlier, which I think is kind of fun. Their doctor was on call and he was only there one day a week, but that was not terrible. I would be perfectly happy there if it turns out that I can't afford the other place. It had a nice feel to it. They also have assisted living and skilled nursing as well. The place was very clean.

New Pond Village was very nice. Very nice people. Nice layout. Out of all the places, I saw that would probably be the one I would go to. It has three levels, and you can go from independent to memory. The staff I met were very polite, friendly, and professional. The facilities were very clean and accessible. They have a gym and a hair salon.

My aunt moved into New Pond Village. We liked the facility itself, as well as the staff and the pricing was within range. The staff during the tour was wonderful. She actually was a deciding factor in us choosing there. The dining area looks like a restaurant and I was very impressed with that. Her room is very nice. She enjoyed the food. They take day trips every Tuesday and Friday, and they have six hours of scheduled activities every day. She hasn't really participated in a lot since she's only been there one full day, and they took a day trip yesterday. I know they have gardening, and they have game nights and things like that. It's a very impressive place. It was very clean. From what they told us, it looked like the activities would be a very good fit for her. She'll do very well there.

New Pond Village was a wonderful place. The people were fantastic. The staff was unbelievably knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great program there. The facility is nice. The reason why we didn't choose New Pond Village is that it's a little too far away from our preferred area. They have all three levels of care. It has independent living, assisted living, and memory care. So they have a complete facility. It's great, it's just not in the location that we would prefer.

We visited New Pond Village. The actual facility was not as nice as the other place. The staff was lovely, but she was a little bit scattered. I only met this one woman, and we just went on a quick tour. The place needed a little bit of work. The location was a little bit further away from me, but Walpole is pretty easy to get to. It is a nice residential area. It is right near an old hospital that is not open at the moment. The outdoor space was very nice and lovely. They had a lovely area for the residents to sit outside.

I had an in-person tour at New Pond Village. The representative was excellent and she was very informative. It was a very welcoming and very clean community, which is very important to me for my parents. It's very well structured. It also has quite a bit of offerings if my parents choose to move there. The rooms were very well done. There was quite a bit of variety. The building was very tastily done, very accommodating and very welcoming.

I really liked New Pond Village and everything I saw about it. It would have been a place I would have gone back for a second round, to get a little more specific, and eat lunch there with my mother. I'm not sure if it would have been ideal for her, but for me, I absolutely loved it. They had exercises, exercise classes, an auditorium for movies, old-time movies after dinner, and had two different types of eating areas; one was full-dinner and one was a cafe-type of style. They had the typical salons, manicurist, and the community was mixed age. It wasn't all elderly, and I think it makes things feel a little different. I thought the apartments were nice, a little small, but decent enough, we can make it fit. I was pretty happy with that. I thought the director gave us the time, attention, and made sure all our questions were answered.

New Pond Village and its rooms were good. We only visited the independent care facility. The marketing people were nice and very thorough. They explained and I understood. I liked it in general.

My husband has been in New Pond. It is a lock-in community and at the moment there are about 12 to 15 residents. My husband has his own bedroom and a common room. He is very happy there. There are lots of people. There is a one-to-three ratio. The residents are never left alone. The meals seem to be nice. The place is clean and efficient. They're always there to answer any questions I have if I call or come by. I would say it is a very nice place. We are pleased with it. They do a little exercise class, they have arts and crafts, they have movie time, and they have afternoon tea. Yesterday was good weather in Massachusetts, so they went outside in the small backyard, so yeah, it is very nice. My husband is very happy there. I have had no problems with the price. The price is very good and reasonable.

The gentleman at New Pond Village was fantastic, and told me what they offer and what they do, and gave me a tour of the building. It's the biggest place I went to. It looks like a very large apartment complex. They had construction going on and were very generous in explaining the construction and making sure I understood what was happening. They told me what was there before and was going to be offered afterwards. I saw three different apartments, and I thought the whole place was great. For activities, I saw where they had a workshop, a crafts room, pool table, a bar, and exercise room. It seemed there was a lot to do there, and a lot of amenities. And they were working on making it even better. The rooms that they had were the nicest among those I visited, but it was just such a huge building.

My mom has been living in New Pond Village for seven years now. We have been very happy with it. The staff is friendly. They love my mother and take good care of her. Overall, the day-to-day running of the place and the people who work there have been wonderful. The company has been making some accommodations to try to keep us there, and I think they are succeeding. I think it's an excellent place. My mother doesn't participate in a lot of their activities, but they offer them.

New Pond Village is beautiful and reasonably priced with excellent, restaurant-like food that was not institutional at all. The staff is knowledgeable. They have movies, exercise classes, and transportation. They bring animals and singers in and have all kinds of activities. I would recommend it.

We went to New Pond Village. It was a fine facility. We had lunch there, which was good. They have very nice dining areas. The rooms had great views, and they were a good size too. They have activities. They would take you to Boston, to the museums, and to the operas. Of course, they have all kinds of classes there. They do have the assisted living and memory care. New Pond Village is very good. We are still looking at it as a place to go.

We looked at New Pond Village. The staff working there were very cordial and very intelligent. They seemed to know what they were doing. We had dinner there. Food was very well handled, and it was a good menu. It was very nice. We visited a two-bedroom apartment and a one-bedroom apartment. The two-bedroom apartment had a larger bathroom than the one-bedroom, but they're both very adequate.
