Assisted Living Reviews for New Pond Village

New Pond Village is beautiful and reasonably priced with excellent, restaurant-like food that was not institutional at all. The staff is knowledgeable. They have movies, exercise classes, and transportation. They bring animals and singers in and have all kinds of activities. I would recommend it.

We looked at New Pond Village. The staff working there were very cordial and very intelligent. They seemed to know what they were doing. We had dinner there. Food was very well handled, and it was a good menu. It was very nice. We visited a two-bedroom apartment and a one-bedroom apartment. The two-bedroom apartment had a larger bathroom than the one-bedroom, but they're both very adequate.

The staff was extremely friendly. I saw them interacting with the residents at the cookout and everyone was laughing and having a great time. The staff also got along with each other. There didn't seem to be any infighting and it appreaerd that the staff really enjoyed their jobs. The food was very good too. My friend's grandmother talked about all of the extra things that are available for them like themed dinning nights and visits from baby animals. The grounds were very nice. There was a garden near the enterance where residence could do their gardening and get some fresh air. There was also a path through the woods that lead to a pond (I'm assuming it was New Pond. Hence the name of the facility) that had a bench to sit on so you could look out on the water. It was buggy but very nice. The buildings themselves seemed to be well maintained. My friend's grandmother was in good spirits and really enjoying herself. Overall it was a great visit to a great facility.

Continuing Care Retirement Community Reviews for New Pond Village

The grounds are lovely and everything seemed very clean and cheerful. The staff were particularly sunny and have been able to provide the assistance needed without over-crowding the people in their care. They were very professional and approachable. It is a nice mix of personal care and professional distance which allows people living there to maintain their independence as much as they care to. They also organize trips into Boston, to the museum of fine arts, or the Isabella Stuart Gardner museum, or to the symphony. These kinds of outings are important for mental and social stimulation, and to keep people engaged in the outside world. There is a small kitchen in the apartment, and it gets a lot of natural light - and they were invited to choose a new rug and wall paint or wallpaper before moving in. All of this personalization helps them get invested in their new living arrangements, but it doesn't make it any easier to leave one's home.
