"I toured All American Assisted Living at Wrentham and I like that it was clean. The people there were very friendly, the apartments were nice and they were a good size. It's just a comfortable feeling. The person who showed me around was friendly, gave me information, and answered my questions. I wasn't rushed at all and they took their time with me, made sure that if I have any questions they wrote that down for me, and gave me a nice folder to take home. She was very nice, her name was Sydney. The apartments that I looked at had a refrigerator, and you supply your own microwave."

"My tour at The Village at Willow Crossings was excellent. I waited in the lobby which had nice stairs, and we went into a side room that was used as a library. I got an excellent description of what they offer. Then I got a tour of their sample room and the cafeteria. The room is an apartment. I also saw a pub, and a community private room where you could host a party or a dinner there. There was a place where you pick up snacks like juice or tea during the day, it's a part of the cafeteria but a little bit separate. I saw where they had the beauty parlor, and they told me they had people that came in like a foot doctor, a dentist, and etcetera. And the staff who assisted me was really nice, energetic, organized, and knowledgeable. The place looked nice and clean, and it was well-kept."

"We found The Residences at Wingate for my mother. The community actually has two separate buildings. There is the skilled nursing building and the assisted living building. The assisted living has both normal assisted living with a dining area and entertainment, and then there’s the memory care that has the security and extra activities. They’ve worked hard to hire good people and train them to really be understanding of the residents. They seem to be doing a very good job with what they said they would be doing. They have a kitchen on-site that tries to do a good job. "

"My sister is at Sophia Snow Place. It's very comfortable and well-furnished. The food is good, and I like that. I don't think they have enough staffing though. With regard to activities, the only thing she attends is the poetry group. She doesn't care to be engaged in anything else. Her room is spacious. She has a double bed in there. She has a recliner and another chair, and she's able to hang all the paintings that she loves. The place is clean, too."

"We went to The Falls at Cordingly Dam. We looked at both assisted living and memory care. It was beautiful, it felt like home, and it was a very warm place. All the nursing staff reached out and were friendly. They had a long tenure with most of their employees. It felt like a community and it was lovely. The guy who toured us was wonderful, too. The staff seemed caring and professional, and there were many of them there. The facility was pretty new, and it was placed on the property right against The Charles River, so it was very picturesque, and many of the rooms looked at the river. It was so tidy, neat, and clean, and polished, and even the function rooms were well organized."

"We are looking to possibly move to Brookdale Cushing Park. The food looks lovely; I had dinner there. I think it is a community atmosphere. The maintenance is on a par, and there are a lot of places to sit. In the lobby, the residents are offered ginger ale or wine to drink while sitting around, which is very nice. They are treated like adults there. "

"I was able to visit Providence House, and the experience was very positive. It has a steel feel to it. No frills. I met their marketing personnel. I had lunch there, and the food was excellent. I have now decided to move there. The atmosphere also I felt that I fit in the place. I received their full package of information, and I was impressed with the scope of the activities available. The staff was very responsive. "

"My brother has been living in Evans Park at Newton Corner since August. There's definitely great communication with them. We get emails all the time about the activities. There are lots of amenities. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They have helped my family tremendously, as he's rapidly becoming more and more debilitated. He has a one-bedroom apartment, a walk-in shower because he's in a wheelchair, and a kitchenette big enough for him to fix something if he wants, but they offer dining services there. It has a really nice view, an elevator, and a beautiful lobby. It's a beautiful facility. You're in assisted living, but you really would never know that it was assisted living. They pay attention to diet, which is important because my brother has high blood pressure. They make sure there's not too much sodium. They offer three things on the menu daily for each meal that they can choose from. They also have a visitor's choice, and as long as you let them know you're dining as well, they are able to accommodate that. They have the shuttle bus to go to the mall or grocery store three or four times a week. They have boat rides and they go to plays. If he doesn't want to go out, they have classes, like oil painting or flower arranging. It's fantastic. They call me almost every day, telling me how happy he is there. He really likes it. "

"I toured Blaire House of Milford Assisted Living and got some information. I was very happy. The woman was on time, explained things, and answered a lot of questions. I actually had someone else with me, so it was nice. She took her time to answer the questions from the other person as well. She gave us this nice hard covered book when we left. It was just a nice, extra thoughtful gift, and something that wasn't related to the nursing home. It was just something they found inspirational for this time, as we are trying to figure out how to help a family member and loved one. I appreciated that. We weren't rushed. We took our time. It's a very nice facility and very clean. It's a little above my price range for my dad, but definitely one that I'm considering. I just did the memory care there."

"Scandinavian Living Center was an absolutely lovely facility. Great staff, beautiful, lots of recreational and educational opportunities, and good food. It had beautiful rooms, small, intimate settings. You name it, they have it: music, dance, games, outside speakers coming in, and community organizations that meet in the building so the seniors can participate. You basically have a little apartment with a little bit of a kitchenette, but they had communal meals too."

"I spoke to the coordinator, brought my parents, and checked out the apartment. I was satisfied with what I saw and I stopped my search. We didn’t have an appointment, but they gave us a tour. The rooms were very nice, and we got the information needed."
