"Sunrise of Leominster's staff was very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'd recommend the place. The community is a very nice area with very nice people. The staff is excellent and they followed up with me. Any questions I had, they were very open and willing to help."

"My mother has moved into Manor on the Hill. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They are very nurturing, supportive, and helpful. They pay a lot of individual attention to clients. They are socially engaged with everyone from the social worker there, who is excellent, to the kitchen staff. Even the maintenance people are courteous and kind, and I am extremely happy with the staff there. It's very clean, open, bright, airy, and has nice common spaces. My mother's room is great. It has a great appearance and one of the things I like, is they have wide hallways. I used to go there and visit. I bring my mother to visit her cousin there, and they replaced all the carpeting in the hallways with flooring, which gives it a clean look, and it's probably easier to keep clean and trip-free and all that. It's nice. My mother has only been there a couple of weeks, but with the lead up and the help we've gotten and everything, I was happy. There are a lot of activities. The facility to me is only as good as it gets, and they've just done an exceptional job with the people that they have hired and who work there. It's more of like a family feel there. The meal experience has been good. One of my mother's main issues is eating, but the kitchen staff is extremely accommodating as far as tailoring some stuff for her. She needs a lot of soft foods, and she can't eat large amounts at one time. We toured several before we picked this one. It's not the most expensive one or anything like that, but it's nice like the big common area is open."

"It felt like a home that I would live in myself. They have a kitchen on every floor of the building and a hometown type dining room on the first floor. There's no alcohol and no smoking, which I approve of. The person who accommodated us during the tour was phenomenal. I tried the food and I also looked at six different rooms. The food was nutritious and good tasting. I'm a cook by trade, so I would know if it was good or not; it was excellent. The facility is spotless. Their rooms were quaint little rooms. They're not as big as the one she's in, but you can just put a single bed there instead of a queen. It's very accommodating. There's a single bathroom in every room that I looked at, which is unheard of in most places. The convenience of having her own bathroom was phenomenal. I couldn't say enough good things about the place."

"We had a good visit with Benchmark Senior Living at Leominster Crossings. They seemed to have a very nice place set up for that. The rooms were a little bit on the smaller side, that was the only thing that was a little bit of a disappointment. They allow furniture, but we would have to obtain smaller furniture for her. The staff seemed to be very caring, and conscientious, doing what they're supposed to be doing. They were busy doing their jobs. I didn't really have the chance to interact with them too much other than to say hello. We had a quick tour and talked to the director in charge of admissions. It's very clean, very welcoming, and homey looking."

"My aunt has been placed into Orchard Hill in Sudbury. I like their food, but my aunt does not. I also like that they have a lot of activities. They do serve 3 meals a day. They also offer bingo, board games, boggle, and crossword puzzles, and they have a van that takes people out for part of the day where they do shopping or they go on picnics to the pond. The staff is willing to listen to requests, but it doesn't happen overnight. Communication is definitely my aunt's complaint."

"I loved Emeritus. The rooms were spacious and they had a living room with a separate bedroom. I really liked how the windowsills are really deep that you could put decorations and pictures there. The rooms are very bright with big windows and it was very cheerful. Ed, the one who toured us was very patient, he didn't rush us or anything but he showed us everything and answered all our questions. The commute in going to Framingham, however was a nightmare. I would recommend this place to anybody. "

"Blaire House of Milford Assisted Living had this personal touch because it looked more like a home. They were doing a little Easter Festival with an Easter banquet while we were there. The staff seemed OK. The head nurse was doing office work at the time, which concerned me because some of the staff might be spread a little thin. The place seemed clean, from what I saw. I think they need to improve on their staffing. The one-bedroom that I saw was average with a view of the back of the water tower from the railroad track, but it was OK."

"Wonderfully managed and equipped facility located in a scenic rural part of MA, yet close to any requirements or services an active older couple might wish for. It's also perfect for someone who's life style is more leisurely."

"EPOCH of Weston is a magnificent facility. The staff was wonderful and they are very caring. All the residents seemed very happy there and they feel very safe. They have people come in and do entertainment and things. They had dinners. They had coffee hours and all different things. I would recommend this facility. "

"My parents moved to Maplewood from Florida in November 2019 to be closer to the rest of our family, mostly in the Boston area. While they have had some challenges in adjusting, as well as some medical issues, my family is really glad we chose Maplewood. The staff is diligent and attentive; the nurses are very capable and caring; the food is good; the activities are often terrific. My folks' apartment is spacious and lovely. In addition, my parents have made friends, are busy, eat well, take all their meds, and get regular exercise, as well as physical therapy. My dad says everyone wants to sit with them at dinner!"

"We found The Residences at Wingate for my mother. The community actually has two separate buildings. There is the skilled nursing building and the assisted living building. The assisted living has both normal assisted living with a dining area and entertainment, and then there’s the memory care that has the security and extra activities. They’ve worked hard to hire good people and train them to really be understanding of the residents. They seem to be doing a very good job with what they said they would be doing. They have a kitchen on-site that tries to do a good job. "

"Scandinavian Living Center was an absolutely lovely facility. Great staff, beautiful, lots of recreational and educational opportunities, and good food. It had beautiful rooms, small, intimate settings. You name it, they have it: music, dance, games, outside speakers coming in, and community organizations that meet in the building so the seniors can participate. You basically have a little apartment with a little bit of a kitchenette, but they had communal meals too."

"I went to Briarwood Continuing Care Retirement Community. Everything was nice. It was clean. It didn't have any foul odors. It looked modern and well-maintained. The person who accommodated me during the tour, her name is Tracy and was very nice and very knowledgeable. There were some people playing bingo. Some light exercise programs were going on. They were preparing to have some entertainment that evening. They had plenty of things going on, which was good. I was there when people were getting ready to eat dinner, and the dining facility was busy."
