"We have been to The Commons in Lincoln, and I find them very impressive. I think it is a friendly community. We had friends who had lived there, and we just liked the sense of community there, and the area in which the community is situated. The rooms are very pleasant. The apartments are commodious and nice. The staff who gave the tour was very pleasant and very professional. We looked at the dining area."

"The man who walked us around Orchard Cove was delightful. The staff was very interactive. We got to speak to several of them. The facility is lovely. We saw a couple of different living spaces. We saw the gym, the pool, and everything. The gym was great. We saw an extended one-bedroom, but it would be too small for the two of us. There were several dining areas. We parked outside, but there's underground parking for residents."

"Carleton Willard rooms and grounds were excellent. It’s very attractive and comfortable. My husband and I found it very warm. The woman we talked to was very friendly and accommodating. I have been in this place often and found that a lot of people who went to my church were living there. When we asked her what her waiting list looked like, she said the wait would be between one and three years. It’s in a nice town surrounded by places to walk, which is quite nice. There are little paths. I particularly liked that you could get out and walk around enough to actually lose sight of the building. "

"We visited Fox Hill Village. We liked the people we met there, we liked the apartment that was available and we liked the food. The staff is very professional and friendly. It's a two-bedroom apartment, living room and kitchen. We just had lunch there about six weeks ago. I can't remember exactly what I ate, but it tasted good. And we think that's very important because we're going to be eating a lot of meals there. The dining area was very nice, with linen tablecloths, nice and bright with big windows and it was quiet. The acoustics were good. They have a gym and a barbershop."

"Huntington at Nashua is too expensive for us, but it's a very nice place. It was during COVID, so it was restricted. We went into 2 different apartments. You could open the door and go outside. The staff are showing you around, so they're on their best behavior, which is what we expect. I would say that of all the places we have seen, Huntington would be the top of the line; but of course, you pay for it. We probably cannot pay for it."

"My maternal grandfather was at Hunt Community. The staff was wonderful. My grandfather had some trouble with the change from fully independent living to assisted living. The staff really helped him through that transition. They became his friends, and they were people that he could lean on for support and conversation. They also pushed him to make more friends with the residents. He had a really wonderful experience there. The food was great. When my grandfather was still able to drive, he would take people out on field trips, as like a kind of a bulletin board thing. There were field trips you could sign up for, too. There were concerts and movie nights. He used to walk down the road to go to a gym. My grandfather felt catered to and respected at that community. I felt that was really important to him and to us. They treated him like he was payng lots of money to be there. He just always felt appreciated while he was there."

"I've lived here for 7 months and am so glad that I chose this place. It has a pleasant, friendly, helpful staff and residents. People go out of their way to include and educate newcomers. There is so much to do. There's a pool, a gym, a bowling alley, a theater, library, chapel, a very nice dining room with a lounge, and a lunch room also. The food is quite good. There are classes and presentations of all kinds. We have trips around the area, movies in-house, medical people and banking people visiting and more. The staff goes above and beyond to make everything just right for us. I'm in independent living but if I end up needing assisted living, it's here. I feel safe, comfortable and happy here."
