"We toured The Residence at Vinnin Square. They were lovely, but the place was more expensive than we could afford. The staff member who gave the tour was very personable and answered all our questions. I noticed no problem with the parking space, and the residents seemed okay and satisfied."

"The Delaney at the Vale wasn't right for us, but it was a fine facility. The staff was very helpful and spent a lot of time. It really seemed ideal for a certain kind of person, but we wanted to be more urban. We are New Yorkers, and it was like a resort. It's not really what we wanted. We needed it to be closer to town, that kind of thing, but the facility itself was brand new."

"I loved The Woods at Merrimack. What I liked is that it had a full kitchen with appliances and enough cabinets that I could put my dishes and food. The kitchen was a big thing for me because I like to cook. You have the opportunity to cook and have friends over or you can go downstairs and they pay a fee for their meal. I liked the brightness, the cleanliness, and the closet space. The bathrooms were phenomenal with the bench that comes down, the walk-in showers, they've got grab bars, and all the safety. Each bathroom has a pull thing if you need assistance. There were nice views and a patio, and it was just very homey and very clean. They said the food was delicious, but while I was there, the dining room was full of people eating and enjoying the meal. A couple of people said, "Hey, how's your lamb chops?" Everybody's like, "Everything's so delicious." I've been invited to go back and taste the food and show up for one of their activity things and just see what it's about. The guy that I did the tour with was just unbelievable. I couldn't say enough about it. There wasn't anything I didn't like."

"We visited Atria Maplewood Place for my father. We had an appointment there with the director of admissions, and she gave us a tour of the building, the dining area, and the rooms. It was very nice and the tour was very well done. They were going through a remodel, so they were remodeling the units that were sort of studio units. I saw two apartment units, one was a little larger than the other. And I was very impressed by the size of the studio because I thought it would just basically be a little living room with a kitchen all in one room, but it was quite large with a little bit of privacy. The bedrooms felt like it was going to be private. They were very nice, very well done, very airy, lots of light, lots of sunshine, and very clean. She showed us the hair salon that they're going to start, that's very nice, and the dining area is beautiful. They are also going to renew that or renovate that area so it's going to be very, very nice and it's very clean. I saw a couple of the clients that live there and they seem happy, there was a couple of them sitting outside on the porch. The admissions director was very nice and very informative about every question I had. They even gave us an apple pie to take home at the end of the tour, so they were very nice. I was very impressed with the facility. Some of the hallways were a little old-looking and kind of outdated, but with the renovations, I think it's going to be looking beautiful. The chef had just baked an apple pie for lunch, and she sent us home with an apple pie. It was very good, my father and I enjoyed that apple pie for a few days."

"My brother lived in Atria. It’s a very caring facility. The rooms were fabulous. The food was restaurant quality. "

"Giving Tree Senior Living is brand new. The rooms are beautiful, the common areas are beautiful. It's a brand new facility. The only issue I had with that place is I'd have to drive to Lowell to get there, which is a real pain in the butt, so it's the location. And being brand new, they didn't have you know, we couldn't compare. You didn't have all the activities set up and stuff like that. It was kind of an unknown. They had a nice little garden and it's a beautiful spot, a beautiful building. The staff we met were two people. It was a man and a woman, they're all very nice and they showed you everything they tried to answer all your questions and stuff. I have no complaints."

"I was very impressed with Kennedy Meadows Gracious Retirement Living. The pricing was reasonable. It's down to like $3,400 a month and that's the range that we're looking at. That is an independent living facility. And so, I liked that. It was new because the building was only two years old. So, it's new construction."

"The lady at Summer Place was very informative and told us what to expect and everything and she was very nice. We toured the room, we toured the lobby area, and we toured the activity room. We couldn't do any of the lunches because COVID was in effect. It was very clean and it was nice to see what they have to offer there. I was happy with it; if I was gonna put my dad in there, I would be very satisfied with the place."

"I have had lunch several times at the Residence at Watertown Square with my friends who sold their home and moved there, and they are really happy with it. The food was very good. It was very tasty, and with a wide variety that you can pick from a menu, and you can eat anytime that you want to during the day. There are no dining hours or anything like that, so you can eat whenever you want to go and eat. I got their monthly calendar of activities, and they seem to have a good range, so I am very pleased with it."

"The Commons in Lincoln is very pretty. The lobby and the dining room are large and nice. The people seem friendly. I have lunch there, and it is very nice. The woman who shows me around is very helpful and very nice. They have a pool and the gym or the recreation area. They show movies at night. They have transportation to doctor's appointments. I saw a large apartment there. "

"We really, really liked Cabot Park Village. All they have is independent living. The woman who toured us around was absolutely delightful. We were able to visit a particular unit where a woman was home, and we were able to talk to her, which was nice. It's under construction, so a lot of the areas weren't available to see. My understanding is that they do not have assisted living. If you need anything more than independent care, they ship you out. The place was busy because so much of it is under construction. We never went into the dining room, but we could look through a window into it, and it seemed perfectly fine. There was a pool, a library, and an exercise room. There was no underground parking. It's all outside parking, and right now it's under construction, so the parking is limited."
