"Everything at The Woods at Merrimack was immaculate. They have a beautiful dining area, a very nice movie theater on-premises, and they have beautiful grounds. The staff person that I've been dealing with, her name is Jocelyn, and she's been super helpful. She's spent a long time with me yesterday going over everything and giving me a tour, and she was wonderful. We passed several other people that worked there in the halls, and they were all smiling and seemed happy to be there. The rooms are gorgeous, they have a full kitchen and they have a washer and dryer in the room for the individual. The rooms are a good size and they're nice, they have a wheelchair-accessible shower that's nicer than anything I'd seen in any facility yet. Everything was clean and smelled nice, with big, huge windows, and lots of light. Everyone was smiling and seemed kind and attentive to the residents. They all seemed very nice. It's brand new, they just built it before COVID so it's only about two and a half years old. It's bright, it's clean, I have zero complaints, I would move there tomorrow. I did not try the food but I asked a few of the residents and they all said it was very good. They had more activities and things to do than the other place I also toured."

"I highly recommend them. It is local and they are very friendly, very caring, and supportive. My mom is in memory care and our move-in experience was excellent. They were very helpful. She seems to enjoy the meals. It is very clean and they have excellent housekeeping. If there's any issue that comes up, they are very quick to call. They offer bingo, sing-alongs, and movies, too."

"My mother is a resident in the memory care unit. She went in during Covid restrictions which were managed well. The personnel have been very kind and professional, consistent in their care even with staff turnover. She enjoys the view of trees and wildlife from her room and seems very comfortable there. The facility has always been clean and well monitored when I have visited, without feeling sterile. Having access to all her healthcare needs in one location has been a big benefit. I feel that the food and activities package lives up to the advertised expectations. We have had a couple administrative issues but they were resolved quickly once we found the right channels. Maplewood is not inexpensive but offers high quality care compared to some other places we looked at."

"Sophia Snow Place is a very nice place. I had lunch, and the food was excellent. The director showed me around. They served all your meals and had high-quality stuff. The place was immaculate, and everyone was nice. However, I would be isolated because I don’t know anybody there, and I don't drive."

"I was thinking about moving my mom into Allerton House because their food service is much faster. Her friend is there. They don’t wait for food, which I like. It was an older building but inice. I didn’t see too many staff members, but I haven’t heard any problems because her friend’s family seems to like it there. I was visiting someone’s room and the room was average, clean, and had nice windows. It seemed OK."

"Brightview North Andover was so light, open, and friendly. The people were going places and doing things instead of just sitting in a wheelchair. The lady who gave the tour was excellent and also thoughtful. She knew the names of almost everybody we met in the hallway. The dining areas were very nice and they gave me cookies when I left and they were good. They had several card games that were being played vigorously. It was beautifully clean."

"We visited Brooksby Village. We like the cost the best; it was the most affordable. Everything was nice, but the affordability was first and foremost. The dining area was very nice and very clean. "

"Brightview Danvers was a very pleasant place and very bright. Everyone was very friendly. We saw an apartment and the woman who conducted the tour and talked with us was very helpful and informative. She was good. If we could afford it, we would have stayed there, but we can't. They have a variety of rooms to offer. They showed us a one-bedroom which was set up as a model and using that, they indicated the difference in size between that and the studio. Their amenities seemed pretty complete. They had a nice dining room. We looked at the menu and it seemed fine. They had an activities room and people were playing games and cards. They had a pool table, an exercise room, a little movie theater, and a nice space outside both a shaded area and a sunny area for being outdoors. They have vans that take you to appointments, grocery stores, drugstores, and outings. They had all the common space on the first floor. It is also right next door to a Mass General Brigham Hospital facility."

"I love it there at The Residence at Riverbend. I couldn't be more pleased. It's a perfect layout for the assisted living where my mom lives. They have a first floor built around a central garden, so it's just beautiful and tranquil. The staff is all amazing people. They really can't do more for you. The rooms are also very lovely. She's in a shared room and they have a kitchen and a bathroom. The food's delicious. They have an on-staff kitchen in there. You can eat from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on a menu and you're served by waitresses. The dining area is like a five-star hotel. It's super nice and I couldn't be happier. They send out a monthly calendar of activities and exercises every day. They have different games, they have music, they have people and bands that come in, and people that come in and sing to them. The facility is absolutely beautiful, well-kept, clean, and looks brand-new every time I go in. They have a movie room, an exercise room, a music room, a library, a game room, and the full-service dining room. They have an outdoor garden and residents can also have their own garden. They go out on field trips all the time too. They have a fireplace room that you can go hang out in. I wish I had made the move earlier. I think it's great. All of these places are expensive but I think it's worth it for the level of care that she got and for how safe and secure I feel that she's there."
