"We have been very happy with the service that Whitney Place at Sharon has been giving, first with my mother and father, and now just my dad. They've gone out of their way to help in a variety of situations. The staff seems great. The only drawback is my father is Roman Catholic and it's generally more of a Jewish community. Arranging for getting a Sunday mass has been the only drawback at this point. The food seems fine. Things have changed with the Coronavirus, but still it seems to be very adequate and adaptable for special diets."

"Mother is in Wingate. She’s very happy there. The rooms are very nice, and the food is very good. "

"My sister is at Sophia Snow Place. It's very comfortable and well-furnished. The food is good, and I like that. I don't think they have enough staffing though. With regard to activities, the only thing she attends is the poetry group. She doesn't care to be engaged in anything else. Her room is spacious. She has a double bed in there. She has a recliner and another chair, and she's able to hang all the paintings that she loves. The place is clean, too."

"Mom's doing good at Sunrise. It's pretty new, small, but close knit community. It probably has about 90 people. It seems to be 1 staff person for every 5 to 6 residents. Most of the apartments are 1-bedroom. They have exercise class and they have activities every day at 3 o'clock right before dinner. They also have field trips twice a week to different places. "

"My experience at The Falls at Cordingly Dam was very good. It was a very helpful and knowledgeable community. The rooms are good, and the location wasn't too far out. "

"I liked Providence House Assisted Living. It was bright, and it was accessible. There was parking there. The staff was very nice. It's very clean. I was surprised by how bright it was. It didn't feel like a nursing home. They had things for the people to participate in. They have transportation if you don't have a car to go shopping three times a week. There are studios and apartments. They have a hair salon. They were playing Wheel of Fortune. They have tons of puzzles, and they have a library. Providence House is my favorite."

"It felt homey and comfortable. The person who toured us around was excellent. There were several things going on. I didn't find anything unsatisfactory. The place looked clean."

"Evans Park was very nice but I think we favor the more independent living because we're not in that much need of a physical or psychological assistance. I found the people living there happy but they seemed a bit more disabled than the people in the place we're in now. We felt that we would be a little bit out of place because we had much less disability. The person who showed us around was very nice, friendly, warm, helpful and informative. I was quite impressed with the place. It seemed very nice, very clean and new but not suitable for us. "

"The surroundings at Maplewood at Weston were very nice. We had lunch there, which was good. They're making some improvements to the facility. The apartments were good size. They did have two-bedroom suites and single bedroom suites available. They have all amenities. They have trips, and they have music people visiting. They have a nice library and a big deck area. "

"The staff at Epoch has been phenomenal. They have gone out of their way to be present every day in my mother's life, from physical care to encouraging her to engage in activities making a point of getting her out of her room. My family could not be happier! "

"My husband has moved into All American in Wrentham. It's working out very well. I'm very satisfied with them and I'm very happy with the things they are doing with him. The staff are excellent. He is in memory care. In the room, there are two bedrooms that share a bath, and they share a living room. They have an exercise program, they have arts and crafts, they have a science program, they have a walking program, and they have the big exercise program for Parkinson's disease. They have a lot of programs. I haven't tried the meals, but my husband seems to enjoy it."

"I went to The Village at Willow Crossings to see what's available. It's a beautiful place, but you have to buy into it as far as I know, and my cousin is not in any kind of financial authority to do that. I think once you buy into it, if you become incapacitated, you can go across to the other facility. That was my understanding. It was out of her price range anyway. It's clean; it's new. I was very pleased with that, but it's not for the poor people. I was treated very well. The staff was personable and answered all of my questions. They showed me all the assisted homes, and they were beautiful too. The whole place is very nice visually. It's very lovely. It's a nice complex. If I have the money, I might consider it. I didn't see anything negative there at all. They were going to lunch when I got there. I got to see the menu, and their dining room was excellent. The place was home-like. "

"Scandinavian Living Center was an absolutely lovely facility. Great staff, beautiful, lots of recreational and educational opportunities, and good food. It had beautiful rooms, small, intimate settings. You name it, they have it: music, dance, games, outside speakers coming in, and community organizations that meet in the building so the seniors can participate. You basically have a little apartment with a little bit of a kitchenette, but they had communal meals too."
