"The only reason we didn't pick The Current South Shore is that the apartment was on the fifth floor, and the porch was way bigger. It didn't have a cover, so we were wondering how we were going to shovel it and where do you put the snow when you're five stories up. The Current South Shore was actually really nice. It was brand new. It was six months old. The apartment that they showed us was a studio with a huge porch, and that was for independent living. I would give it a 3 only because right beside it was an automotive shop, and you could smell the oil if you went outside. Also, if my dad needed more help, he would lose his apartment, and he would get a smaller place. The staff member who gave the tour was wonderful, but the other person was awful. We gave them money first and then changed our mind because the other person was so bad. The place is beautiful, but one of their problems is the way the driveway is. When you come in, there's not much room. It's the way it's designed."

"My friend is at Orchard Cove. It is great. The rooms are elegant. They're suites actually. My friend lives alone. She has a large living/dining room, a nice size bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen. I had lunch with her, and the people working in the dining room were extremely pleasant. They like her, and she likes them. They're very gracious and polite. This is a high-end upscale place, and the food is exceptional too. I don't know their activities, but I do know that they keep them very busy. They have a gorgeous library, too."

"Our family was at a standstill when our elderly mom was living on her own and experiencing more and more health issues than we could provide assistance for her privately. It took a while to convince her she needed help after living an independent life for so long. We contacted The Parc @ Harborview and within days we toured, she loved it, we moved her in. She immediately adapted to her new surroundings. The best thing is that the care she receives at the Parc is top notch. Aids check on her throughout the day and night. They are sure she gets to her meals in their elegant dining area and eating healthy choices with companions. She is greatly encouraged to join the other residents in their activities and social gatherings (which are many). She made friends with residents and staff and her loneliness and health have taken a complete turnaround. I thank the great staff at the Parc from Anita and Burt at the front desk, health care professionals, and all employees who help in sharing their time and care for the residents. I would highly suggest taking a look if you or your family member is feeling alone or unsafe living alone. This is the place to be. Super plus plus plus, the facility is spotless with lots of gathering areas throughout for family to meet with their loved one. Thanks to all for being there, I can sleep at night knowing Mom is in the best hands."

"The Residences at Wingate is brand new. The common areas are quite elaborate and very luxurious. There's a pool, two movie theaters, a beautiful dining area, and the grounds are quite nice. The individual rooms are nice but not particularly big nor fancy. The staff is excellent. They have a lot of good activities, like karaoke and accordion playing. They have just recently opened an are trying to tailor the activities according to the likes of their residents."

"I had an excellent impression of Cabot Park Village. I was accommodated very well during the visit. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. They tried to be very nice to me, but I didn't think it was as new and charming as the one I chose. The food was very good, and they were very accommodating to me when they served me the meals. It felt homey."

"My parents have been living at Maplewood at Weston for a few months now. We toured a few other facilities and found that Maplewood at Weston was the best fit for my parents. The Community Relations Directors was very resourceful and helped us make this very tough decision. The rooms were spacious and all their furniture fit into the room very nicely. Due to Covid-19 they weren't able to join too many activities - but thing are now improving. The staff has been very supportive to their needs and respond very quickly when needed. The Director of the facility is very welcoming and is always there to answer any question I might have or that of my parents. My dad enjoys walking around the facility and talking with anyone who is willing to have a conversation. "

"The Delaney at the Vale wasn't right for us, but it was a fine facility. The staff was very helpful and spent a lot of time. It really seemed ideal for a certain kind of person, but we wanted to be more urban. We are New Yorkers, and it was like a resort. It's not really what we wanted. We needed it to be closer to town, that kind of thing, but the facility itself was brand new."

"I toured Allerton House at Proprietors Green. It was exquisite. The staff were very friendly. They had everything that I could be interested in. They had a theater, they had a pub, they had transportation, and they had a lovely dining room. It's extremely clean. It was in a very equipped location for everything."

"My mom had fallen and ended up in the hospital. We realized that she could not live at home any longer. We visited many assisted living facilities. Wingate had everything as far as rehab, memory care, nursing home. The rooms are gorgeous over looking the lake and garden. She went from rehab to assisted living. She was not easy to deal with but the staff was able to win her over. My moms health declined quickly. The staff went above and beyond to make my mom and our family comfortable. If I ever had any concerns they always addressed it and never dismissed it. My mom passed in March 2022. I have zero regrets and would recommend Wingate Inn to any of my friends looking for elder care."

"We visited Windsor Place of Wilmington and that was good. The staff was very caring, and they have good rapport with the residents. It was a little bit older building, but it was still very nice. They had a lot of activities, and their pricing was competitive. The owners are on site, so they're very flexible. As far as location, it was not as good as the other one for me, but I was very impressed with the salespeople and the pricing. They have a salon, a barbershop, and they have a lot of activities, rooms, and stuff on site. They had a lot of onsite things to do, and they had an onsite doctor."

"It is beautiful. It has architectural detail in all the rooms because it’s an old building that was renovated, and everything is accessible primarily by elevator. It’s easy to get to right downtown. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants. If the elderly person is active, it might be a great place because they can walk to the theater. There is a jazz bar and an art center. You can walk to the beach and parks. There are tons of stuff to do. They offer free membership to the YMCA across the street to anyone who is staying there. They have a beautiful view of the ocean. It has a nice dining facility with a great menu and options. There’s not a lot of parking, which is the downside of being in the inner city. You really don’t need a car between being able to walk places and having shuttle buses. They have a really nice dedicated Alzheimer's floor which seems well maintained and secure with their own staff. You have to have a key to get on and off the floor with the elevator, which was nice. "

"I toured Chapel Hill Senior Living. I only met two people, but they were very accommodating. The place was well-kept. They seemed to have a lot of activities. They had a plate to show visitors what the people were eating, and if they didn't like that particular dish, they had an alternate dish, so I thought that was very nice."

"My mom was worried she wouldn't be happy leaving her home when it was clear she needed assistance, but the activities, lifestyle, food and friends she has made at The Cove has enriched her life. For the staff at The Cove it is clear they are not just doing a job, but genuinely enjoy enriching the lives of the residents. My whole family couldn't be happier. Thank you all so much!!!! "
