My friend was in Wingate at Silver Lake for rehab. The staff members were really good, they're nice, and she got along nicely will all of them. They have a dining area and they have very pretty grounds, we were able to take her out to the patio. It's more like a hospital setting than assisted living type thing. She often had new roommates, so she wasn't happy about losing a friend that she just made. I didn't eat there but I saw some of the food that was going out to everybody, and a lot of them there don't like the food. A lot of people there had left food on their plates, so that was the only drawback there. They had all kinds of things, they had music, painting, storytelling, and trivia questions. And they were getting the residents very much involved, which I thought was a good thing. The staff members were awesome.

My husband was treated horribly in this place, please consider other options for your loved one. He had many medical issues, including dementia, and was considered a fall risk when he was admitted to this facility. However, within 1 night, he fell 8 times as he kept trying to get up. After only 2 nights in this place, they sent him back to the hospital, where he died a week later. He was very sick and was not going to be with us for very long, but the neglect in that place was astounding.

Wingate At Silver Lake was very, very clean. The people were very nice. It seemed as though the residents were pleased where they were and all their needs were met. It just seemed like a very, very nice community. They showed us their recreation room, the actual rooms themselves as far as the amount of room that they have and whether or not it's private or it's adjoining with another resident, and they showed us where the nurse's stations were or the dining area. They gave us a whole overview. We're very impressed.

This place is horrible. My mom has been there for a week so far and every day i have to tell them she doesn't eat meat. But they give it to her any way. The CNA's are nice and helpful but some of the nurse's are rude. I t seems like they only have one nurse on at a time. They don't seem to treat the elderly very nice. The drawer's in the common area are very dirty. The air conditioning in the rooms leak and they just put blankets down.

In visiting the skilled facility, I was struck by the kindness and compassion the nursing staff showed to the residents. They went above and beyond to meet the needs of the patients and interacted with them so kindly. Was very sweet to see.

My father was in the rehab section at Wingate for almost 2 months and we are lucky that he got out alive! He was discharged last week with a HORRIBLE rash that according to the VNA must have been there for at least a week. Multiple people must have seen the infection and ignored it for days! It has now spread all over his body and we still don't know what it is. We visited every day and he still received this treatment. I fear for the safety of those whose loved ones are not present. While he was there I made excuses for the minimal care that the patients received, blaming it on their being under-staffed, but this level of neglect is horrific!

First of all, this is a review of the SNF, which was not an option to choose. As of now, my review is very negative. My grandmother has been there a week and the communication is AWFUL! Also, the questions my mom asked prior to choosing this facility were met with untruths. For example, we asked if they had 5 day per week speech therapy and were told yes,but this is not true. Also, we asked if communication with nursing and family was constant and told yes, however in a week we have not been able to speak with a nurse (UNREAL) and even unit nurse managers have not responded to multiple voicemails. I would say SKIP this facility, or at least take what your typical screening questions are with a grain of salt. Clearly we were told mis truths or at least HALF truths, so don’t waste your precious loved ones time ❤️

My friend was at Wingate At Silver Lake. I thought that they also did a good job, the staff was professional and patient. She seemed to be doing a lot of activities and making friends by interacting with a lot of the other seniors and stuff. I haven't heard her complaint about the food although she's not really one to complain. It may have just been the timing, but the staff was not that quick in getting the residents up and around and ready to start their day.

We have selected Wingate at Silver Lake. What we liked about it was it’s a continuum care facility. My mother is in the assisted living, but if she needs more high-skill assistance, it is there. The staff is very caring. She has a one-bedroom with a kitchen, a separate bedroom, separate bathroom, and a living area. The food is very good. They have sit-down exercise, Wii bowling, bingo, singing events, big band night, and socials for family. So there are a lot of things that they have available. She’s only been there for a month.
