"My grandmother has been at Sippican for a few months. She used to have visiting nurses come to her home, but as of late her health has been failing and she's been slipping/falling more often now. She's at Sippican mainly because she has trouble walking and her legs swell up. I've found the staff very warm and welcoming whenever I call and visit. Even though I always forget the name of the ward my grandmother's in, they're happy to look it up and direct my call. My grandmother's also hard of hearing, so often times when she can't hear the phone ring, they'll be sure to pick it up for her and let her know that her granddaughter's calling. Another thing I've found very helpful is that they're understanding that she's familiar with certain nurses and would prefer to have her care given to her by them, and them only. She gets uneasy with newer nurses around. Sippican is happy to accomodate for her, and that makes me feel better about what goes on at the facility when I'm not around to actually witness it. "

"What I like about Royal is that it's close to my house and I can just visit my Aunt anytime. The nurses and staff working there were very good and I have no complaints about them. She is in a 3 bedroom but she has dementia so she is not in her room too often. I haven't heard her complaining about the food. Other people have but she is not complaining so that's fine. "

"I liked the location of Kindred Transitional Care and the caring, friendly staff. The patients and the staff seemed to engage with one another, but they don’t have enough staff members. They keep the family informed. My stepfather is comfortable. "

"My sister was in Spaulding Rehabilitation for rehab and this place was amazing, it was top-notch. The rehabilitation was amazing, and the doctors and nurses were very receptive. My sister went into an eight-hour period, between four and a half to five hours a day in rehab, and it was very widespread. They went from memory care to practicing speech, to arm control, hand control, leg control, walking in and out, dressing, everything. They also included how to prepare yourself for showers and getting clean. My sister had no ability to even move the arm or leg on her left side, and when they got her down to Spaulding, it was amazing how her recovery came. She's able to use a walker, and speech and everything almost came back to normal. They helped her improve tremendously, the ability of what Spaulding did was like a miracle, it was fantastic, and they worked hard with her. The place is brand new, it's only been there for like three or four years. It's fantastic, well-groomed, well-maintained, very clean, and very aesthetic. It's very well-organized and set up in terms of how you get in and get out, the security is very well done. The food was amazing, it's like gourmet and was very good. There were areas where she could do some socialization with people, so she would actually eat meals with other people, and she got along with her roommate. Most of the activities were pretty O.T., and she would do it with other patients, so the activities were primarily oriented towards rehab."

"My father is now in his late 80s and has been at this facility for for nearly 3 years (skilled care). We've had a few minor complaints, which were quickly addressed, but overall the care has been excellent. Nursing staff seems particularly well qualified and dedicated, and we are always notified quickly of any medical changes or events. Social workers/activities people are friendly and schedule a lot of activities for residents. Dad is a veteran and they go out of their way to recognize vets on veteran-related holidays. They also put on great activities around normal holidays, for both residents and family. Food is above average, but for special events it is actually good. The facility is clean and looks recently updated. There is a large central courtyard that is nicely landscaped and is a good place to spend time with family. All of the resident rooms appear to get plenty of sun. The location couldn't be better - quiet and away from traffic and the area gets cool breezes from Cape Cod Bay. It is situated on a small hill overlooking the Cape Cod Canal (about a football field away). But it's not isolated - there is small Shopping Center with a Stop & Shop and a few decent restaurants minutes away. Also a few motels within minutes. Recommend. "

"This is a very nice facility. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to ensure that the family feels welcome when visiting their loved ones. I have called numerous times and always forget the room number of my family member and they know who she is by first name and her exact room number. The building itself is clean and smells good. My family member is very happy with her room and with the meals she receives. She would prefer a private room to a shared one but that is unavailable at this point. She also likes the activities that are available to her and enjoys watching TV with the other residents in the recreation room. We, the family, really appreciate how attentive the staff is to any changes our family member might be going through. If she has a bad day they are very aware of it and let us know what happened and why they think she was agitated. They spend the time to chat with her and make her tranistion from being independent to now being under their care a seamless one. We are very happy to have found this facility. "

"I live near Our Lady’s Haven. The facility is nice, but the rooms are small. The staff is very friendly, helpful and seemed to be very good. I loved the family atmosphere and the good interaction between the staff and residents. "

"My wife is at Royal of Fairhaven. I live around the corner from it. My overall experience with them is excellent. The food is fine. They have entertainment during the week. They have some singers and dancers that come in. They have physical therapy. It seemed to be very well administered. My wife has a shared room, and it is very nice. I would recommend this facility to anyone. I think the care is very good. The people are very nice and caring. "

"I was a rehab patient there twice over about approximately 8 year span; once for my left knee replacement and, more recently, for back surgery. The staff is caring and friendly. The food is very good and the Chef is very attentive to any special requests (personally comes around and introduces himself). They have entertainment practically every day of the week and their calendar is full! There is a hair salon on site and the Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists are excellent with an excellent Therapy room. I would recommend it to anyone or any family looking for a Nursing Home to treat their loved ones. "

"I'm getting therapy at The Pavilion Rehab and Nursing Center. The only problem with that is, with the virus going around, you have to kind of stay in your room, and you can't go down the hallway and all. They've got a number of people with the virus, so they have to keep you away from them, but things are pretty good. The food is very good. I'm satisfied with it. The place is very clean. They get you up in the morning, get you ready to go, and then you have your physical therapy. The food has been very good. They come by and you get to choose your lunch and dinner, and that's pretty good. The staff is good. If you need something, they get it for you. They're pretty friendly, and they make sure you get everything you need."

"My dearest husband was here on the Alzheimers unit. He was treated by every staff member like royalty. Within two days, he relaxed and looked more peaceful. Their attention to each patient was undivided. Their thoughtfulness and time spent made you feel like you were the only person needing attention. They gave respect and care to me, as the wife and care giver. As we were at hospice level, they allowed me the privacy and freedom of time and space. Sometimes I would wake to find a blanket over me. I cannot thank the staff enough and recommend Brandon Woods of New Bedford as a precious gem. Clean, simple and well above attention to care that I have ever experienced. They made the final piece our stressful Alzheimers journey to be one of peace and love. Thank you. "

" Well I lost the first one that I wrote so I hope I can really do it In a nut shell. There were a few good nurses ( and I will send them to the correct place) and all of the medical staff CMA‘s are absolutely wonderful. I don’t want to mention that admissions director of social services Lisa I do not have her last name. Has a lot to learn about advocating. I was told by my insurance company Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO New Jersey, and Medicare, that I have 101 days of rehab here. This is December 5. I came in on Tuesday night. No rehab at all as I came in late. I had very good care from OT her name is Celina. The rest of the team has a lot to Learn to learn about taking care of someone at 60 years old instead of 85-90 years old I did voice this concern when I first got here. But I was assured that age didn’t matter. When the state came in the nursing staff all shaped up and told the Cma to walk a straight line. When they already have. They are sending home to Pt, ot, nursing staff this is not my first rodeo I’ve had them two times already. They’re understaffed and overworked so they cannot spend much time with you. Maybe two days turn into one day not much help. So being here I had a lot of false hope I’ve been waiting over an hour and a half a for furicet, Morton and zofran ( but I would take any thinks I’m not dry heaving anymore ). So I guess I read it to stars and meant to braid it one but I can’t change it If you were smart you would not come here to Brandon Woods South Dartmouth. Or come here and be miserable "

"Royal Taber Street Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was a very small facility. Their staff was very caring and very helpful. They were also very nice to the family members. It had a nice environment. It was well kept. "
