"Compared to where I placed my mom, I didn't get the same feeling at Aynsley Place at all. I only quickly looked at a couple of rooms, which looked great, and all the areas were clean. The people were friendly, and the residents looked like they were taken care of."

"Giving Tree Senior Living is brand new. The rooms are beautiful, the common areas are beautiful. It's a brand new facility. The only issue I had with that place is I'd have to drive to Lowell to get there, which is a real pain in the butt, so it's the location. And being brand new, they didn't have you know, we couldn't compare. You didn't have all the activities set up and stuff like that. It was kind of an unknown. They had a nice little garden and it's a beautiful spot, a beautiful building. The staff we met were two people. It was a man and a woman, they're all very nice and they showed you everything they tried to answer all your questions and stuff. I have no complaints."

"This nursing home/assisted care facility excels in care, activities, routines for daily living and patient/caregiver relationship. Outstanding activities include; namaste center with sensory stimulating activities, music, baking, arts, movies shown in a theater-like setting, theme days and family picnic and holiday celebrations. The staff is courteous and caring and have a wonderful rapport with family members. "

"Almost 2 1/2 years ago my wife’s condition found us needing the availability of 24 hour help. Coming from Weston we searched the Boston suburbs for an assistant living facility to fit our needs. It yielded several, all of whom were okay but Maplewood in Weston had a “feel” that set it apart. We chose it and have had no regrets. The staff, available for skillful help of all kinds 24 hours a day, have been great, the food excellent and management attentive. Sadly my wife passed, but with dignity with the kids around in spite of the pandemic. Our choice of Maplewood was excellent. It has been SAFE during the pandemic, all vaccinated plus we get tested weekly. Maplewood continues to be my choice going forward."

"Scandinavian Living Center was an absolutely lovely facility. Great staff, beautiful, lots of recreational and educational opportunities, and good food. It had beautiful rooms, small, intimate settings. You name it, they have it: music, dance, games, outside speakers coming in, and community organizations that meet in the building so the seniors can participate. You basically have a little apartment with a little bit of a kitchenette, but they had communal meals too."

"My father is in Blaire House of Milford Assisted Living. One of the reasons we chose it is his age and the fact that it does have a nursing home attached to it if he needs to go from assisted to nursing care. It's clean, and it's smaller. There's always staff present. They're fantastic. They know exactly what's going on with him and they're willing to help with everything. I have not tried their food, but my dad said it was a huge improvement over his rehab. Every time we walk in, activities are going on. They have painting, history trivia, and music trivia, and there is a classic movie shown. My dad is in a shared suite. It has a small kitchen facility with a table, a sink, and a refrigerator, and it has a large bathroom. He and his roommate each have separate bedrooms that are large enough to hold his recliner, his bed, and his bureau table."

"Windham Terrace was very nice, but we felt it was too expensive for us. We wouldn't be comfortable worrying if we would have enough money for the rent every month. But it was very nice and it had a cozy feeling about it. The people were sitting around in a lounge with a fireplace, while some residents were in the kitchen. The staff and rooms were very nice. If it had been much cheaper to live there, we probably would have done so. "

"My dad stayed in the Life Care Center of Leominster for rehab. I liked that they were very polite to the family members, and at least some of his roommates weren't that great. My dad liked the food. They helped him with walking, dressing, and bathing. It was a good place for my dad at that time. It was local and more convenient for us."

"We visited Penny Lane for my father. It was more like a private home with a small amount of residents. As far as public transportation like a bus affiliated with the residents that drove them, there were lots of public transportation, but I thought they needed more private shuttles that would drive the residents to where they needed to go. It was worth recommending because it was more like a home rather than an institution type thing. It had a fair amount of freedom given to the residents, but they still would oversee medications and provided them guidance. The meals were prepared and included in the monthly fee, which was nice. "

"My mom is living in the Gables. It’s close to our house and has beautiful, well-maintained grounds. The staff is very nice and all know each other. It has a lower price, a better quality of food, and the building was nicer. They have an all-inclusive pricing package. She has her own little unit with porch and kitchenette, but the nurses come in to check on her. They have a beauty salon, laundry facilities, an exercise room, and PT on the facility. "

"I thought the staff was very friend but seemed over whelmed. The amenities were very nice and seemed clean. The nurses seemed like they knew what they were doing and answered call lights when they went off. I had a positive experience while visiting and I hope others did as well. My grandmother said she enjoyed the hot meals and games that were provided by the activity staff. The rooms were good sized and privacy seemed to be very important. "

"Rivercourt Residences was very nice. We enjoyed visiting that place. The facility was excellent. I saw one apartment and it was very nice. The whole building was very clean and maintained very well. It's a refurbished mill so the outside venues were very nice. The food was excellent. We had lunch there and the people we dealt with were excellent. We met a couple of residents who were very nice and liked the venue very much as well. They have a library and various rooms for parties that people can use. If you have guests, you can have them come into those. They also have a hairdresser/barber shop and a dentist's office. So, they seem to take good care of the people."

"Nashoba Park Assisted Living is a great community. I would recommend them. It's nurturing and as far as amenities and activities are concerned, it's a great place. It's just that my mother-in-law has different needs now, so we need to find her a different place. But I have nothing negative to say about them. She has a studio room with a bathroom, a kitchenette, a sink, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. She has her own couch and a TV. I saw some of their activities and the residents were enjoying them. Mom is probably the healthiest she's ever been because of the nutritious meals they offer. She's been there for over a year and she's noticeably better in her overall appearance. The staff is great, and they are all very kind, caring, and attentive."
