My father only lived at Brookdale Eddy Pond East for a few days. It's a beautiful place. He just didn't do well there, which wasn't their fault. They did a wonderful job. They were great. They're a wonderful facility, and they had a very caring staff. It's very pretty and had a very nice layout. They had activities, but he didn't participate in those. Everything was beautiful. The room was beautiful, and they kept it very clean. Value for money was very good.

I went to Brookdale Eddy Pond East. The tour was very good. In fact, we've been there twice. I went by myself, and then I took my mother. It was very nice. They were very personable. It was very clean. I enjoyed it. I have nothing bad to say about it. They showed us both assisted living and memory care, but we were looking at assisted living. The person who toured us was very personable and very thorough. She was great. They gave us lunch. For my mom, the portions were good. For me, it was a little small. It was very good though. You have to bring in your own furniture. There was a refrigerator, but that's it.

I've been to Brookdale Eddy Pond East many times, so I'm familiar with it. It's very clean, very well kept. There are a lot of activities. They have a veterans photos section, which I think is good there. They are well managed. We did a salute to veterans thing over there. We had dessert and it was good.

My mom has moved into Brookdale Eddy Pond East. The staff members are very good. We checked the menu. It's very good food, and she likes the food a lot. The facility is excellent. She likes to exercise and arts and crafts. The value for money seems pretty good.

The grounds and interior of the building were beautifully decorated and always clean. The level paved walking path around the building encouraged outdoor walking. There are amenities like a hairdresser and laundry available. The food was tasty and nutritious, with a great range of choices. Dining felt like going to a nice restaurant. Most importantly, however, were the people at Eddy Pond West. Mark, the Executive Director was friendly, helpful, and always approachable. He went out of his way to be a support to my Dad and his wife, and to us as a family. He really went above and beyond our expectations when my father’s wife’s condition deteriorated, and her nursing care needs could no longer be met at Eddy Pond. We needed to find someplace that could meet both of their needs. Mark was able to make suggestions for other facilities, even visiting one on our behalf. The staff on the front desk, “the gatekeepers”, were kind, and dealt with the residents with warmth and caring. Kent was a particularly valuable resource. He was observant and knew what was going on with my Dad. They had a special connection because they were both navy veterans. If Dad was lost or talking about heading “home”, Kent could talk to him and re-direct him. The dining room staff were particularly wonderful. They knew both my Dad and his wife well and could guide them to their tables and take their orders. They would even provide simple alternatives like sandwiches even if the items weren’t on the menu. When we visited, we were welcome to stay for a meal, but it confused my father if he was taken away from his usual table and friends. The staff handled that situation beautifully. Nursing staff, activity staff and personal care aides were kind, helpful, and knew how to gently redirect and guide my father as his dementia progressed, and as he moved into Memory Care. Although he was only in Memory Care about a month before he moved on, we could see that the care on that floor was empathetic and compassionate. Our family would like to thank Eddy Pond for their great care and would highly recommend it to other families.

My sister is doing fine at Brookdale Eddy Pond East. The only complaint she has is about the quality of the food, which is not that good. The people there are friendly, the staff is treating her well, and I've had positive interactions with the staff as well. They seem to be caring people. Hopefully she will be happy there for a while. Her apartment is kept clean, they do her laundry once a week, and they're very kind. They provided a bed and a chair for use until we could get her furniture there. She plays bingo every chance she gets, and she enjoys the crafts they have for her. They have several nice rooms, a TV room, and a lounge area as you come in. The dining room seems to be very well-kept and very inviting.

I visited Brookdale Eddy Pond East. I didnt get a warm fuzzy feeling. It's on the third floor and I didn't like it being up that high. I didn't see any activities going on, but they were all watching a movie at the time I visited. The staff members were very informative, I like what they said. It was just the building itself that I didn't like. The food comes to them, it was very plain and more cafeteria like than dining room. They have an art room where they also do exercise.

My experience with Brookdale Eddy Pond West was very positive. We thought it was a good place. It was definitely more affordable than the others. The place was very clean, and it seemed very nice. The person who gave us the tour was Betsy. She was really great, spent a lot of time with us, wanted to really get to know all of my father-in-law's needs, and took lots of notes. She was very thorough. The dining area looked great. We observed some activities; some of the residents were doing nail painting.

It was a different kind of place, she needs to be in a wheelchair all the time and checked on, and they couldn’t do that. It didn’t meet my mother’s needs. I should say this should have been better at this because it’s not something that they did, and they were good for what they do and what they provide. I know people there, my aunt was there, and she is happy with it. The rooms were nice, clean, and well-kept. The facility itself was very nice.

It is absolutely wonderful, as well as the people that are there. There is a place for people to smoke. I saw where the people congregate and what is available to them. The staff is very much in touch with everything they do; they seemed to be very good communicators, and they are very much in tune with each other.

The one that really impressed me was here. Out of the three that I visited, that was the one that caught my attention. It was the most outstanding. It felt more inviting than the other two. I got a complete tour. I like the quality of the environment. I did visit the dining rooms during dining hours; it was inviting.

It offers a memory care unit, which we are going to need because my mother-in-law has dementia. I was impressed by the different activities that they offer. The clients and the staff that I met were very caring and very in tuned to what the elderly preferred. I got to meet with the head chef and he is remarkable. He will meet with the clients and ask them about foods that they used to cook and he’ll cook special for them. He’ll use some of their old recipes, which I thought was a very nice thing to make them feel comfortable. The whole building itself was very nice and aesthetically pleasing, and they played music from the 30’s and 40’s that these old people like. I got to meet the residents who were playing bingo, and they talked about how they had a hard time first adjusting but then because of the staff there made them feel so much at home, they ended up loving it.
