"My mother has moved into Manor on the Hill. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They are very nurturing, supportive, and helpful. They pay a lot of individual attention to clients. They are socially engaged with everyone from the social worker there, who is excellent, to the kitchen staff. Even the maintenance people are courteous and kind, and I am extremely happy with the staff there. It's very clean, open, bright, airy, and has nice common spaces. My mother's room is great. It has a great appearance and one of the things I like, is they have wide hallways. I used to go there and visit. I bring my mother to visit her cousin there, and they replaced all the carpeting in the hallways with flooring, which gives it a clean look, and it's probably easier to keep clean and trip-free and all that. It's nice. My mother has only been there a couple of weeks, but with the lead up and the help we've gotten and everything, I was happy. There are a lot of activities. The facility to me is only as good as it gets, and they've just done an exceptional job with the people that they have hired and who work there. It's more of like a family feel there. The meal experience has been good. One of my mother's main issues is eating, but the kitchen staff is extremely accommodating as far as tailoring some stuff for her. She needs a lot of soft foods, and she can't eat large amounts at one time. We toured several before we picked this one. It's not the most expensive one or anything like that, but it's nice like the big common area is open."

"I visited The Residence at Valley Farm for my aunt. It was so nice. They had a wonderful staff. The person giving us the tour was very nice and professional. It was all-inclusive and fabulous with a very nice dining room and plenty of day trips planned for the residents. It was a beautiful place. All of the residents seemed very happy. I was talking to a couple who all had fabulous things to say about the place, which was good to hear. I definitely recommend this place. "

"We toured The Residence at Natick South. It has a very beautiful, elegant, and very formal setting. It required furnishing for even a short-term rehab stay. They did not provide a television. They had a white linen dinner every night, a well-appointed exercise room, and very friendly staff."

"I went to see Anthology of Millis. The atmosphere there was not as good as it could be. I know it was a nice place. It was a new place. The layout was OK. Some of the rooms may have been a bit smaller than the others. I'm not positive about that, but what bothered me most about it was the atmosphere there. The staff was nice. The gal who gave us the tour was nice, but it was just the place that had a different vibe."

"I toured Magnolia Heights Gracious Retirement Living. It's a very happy and busy place, which is what I'm looking for. I saw one and two bedrooms. It's very nice. The people who lived there were very happy. The rooms were very nice and they had many amenities. The physical structure was nicely done. I met some staff and the lady who showed us around was very nice and knowledgeable. She kept in touch with me."

"I'm moving into The Commons in Lincoln. It's lovely. They've got a swimming pool, athletics facility, lectures, classes, and they do activities with the residents, that's why I chose it. They provided breakfast, and it was excellent."

"Almost 2 1/2 years ago my wife’s condition found us needing the availability of 24 hour help. Coming from Weston we searched the Boston suburbs for an assistant living facility to fit our needs. It yielded several, all of whom were okay but Maplewood in Weston had a “feel” that set it apart. We chose it and have had no regrets. The staff, available for skillful help of all kinds 24 hours a day, have been great, the food excellent and management attentive. Sadly my wife passed, but with dignity with the kids around in spite of the pandemic. Our choice of Maplewood was excellent. It has been SAFE during the pandemic, all vaccinated plus we get tested weekly. Maplewood continues to be my choice going forward."

"My dad has been a resident at Atria Lincoln Place for the past four months. I want to commend the Atria staff for their professionalism, kindness, patience, and engagement with not only my dad but for all the residents within their community. Whether it be medication administration, coordination of Dr. visits and lab tests, the staff is always there to help guide the process working in concert with the family. It is a true partnership. The activity engagement is terrific allowing residents to enjoy a great quality of life while living with dignity during their later years. Life's later years can be cruel but the Atria staff makes the light shine everyday. The day's many activities are highlighted but three "square" meals a day that offer a daily variety of nutritious, tasty food that can appeal to even the finicky eater (like my dad). The facility is visually appealing, well-maintained, and designed with a number of features that make the building itself homey and allows residents to find places where they can "hide" and relax - a game room, a library, a snack room, and TV / Video room. If you play pool, don't worry, their is a pool table ready to be used and it is not uncommon to see staff challenge the residents in a game of pool. I highly recommend any family who is looking to move a loved one into an independent living / assisted living residential model to checkout Atria Lincoln. You'll be glad you do. "

"I visited Colony Retirement. It has a very good reputation. The place is very peaceful, clean, and very homey. There is no high rise. There are nice trees there and it's landscaped but not like a hotel. The units are spread out. The people are friendly. People come here and they stay long-term. "

"There is no designated parking for elderly in Coes Pond so that they wouldn't have to walk too far. It was actually more like a hotel for me. However, the place was lovely and clean. "

"We liked everything about Goddard House. Everything is centrally located for my mom to get to and there are a lot of options for her. She likes the whole atmosphere of it. One of the residents let us go in and see her apartment and it was nice and pretty much exactly what she's looking for. Plus, it was the cheapest one we found. It's got a small stove top as well as a microwave, and a small refrigerator. It's like having a little kitchenette. The staff was very nice, very informative, and very accommodating. Everything was explained completely. The lady who gave us a tour was able to get a wheelchair for mom. The whole place was kept up very nicely. I had clients over there, so I know what the rest of the place looks like and I had no problems going in there, to begin with. I liked it and I thought it would be a good place for my mom."
