"My tour to Brookdale Eddy Pond West was great. The young lady there was very, very helpful in every way. I liked everything about it. I saw two apartments. The first one was a studio, another was a model room. The studio had the fridge, bed, and furniture. The young lady was very, very polite. She explained everything thoroughly. She went through everything, including the financial aspect. We did several stops at some offices, and she explained everything. It was very satisfactory. She also said that we could have stayed for the food. They have a big yard space to walk and go sit down to be comfortable."

"I thought The Branches of Framingham was perfect. The people were very friendly and outgoing. The facility was clean. They have a lot to offer, and the staff was very friendly, warm, and it was inviting. They have a gym, and there's a ceramic class. People were eating in the dining room, so things were going on during that time. They did get me a nice coffee cake to take home, which I haven't tried yet. I thought that was very nice. The staff was great. It was perfect, and it looked great to me. It was an older place, but it was kept up and maintained beautifully. It was just warm and friendly."

"Blaire House of Milford Assisted Living had this personal touch because it looked more like a home. They were doing a little Easter Festival with an Easter banquet while we were there. The staff seemed OK. The head nurse was doing office work at the time, which concerned me because some of the staff might be spread a little thin. The place seemed clean, from what I saw. I think they need to improve on their staffing. The one-bedroom that I saw was average with a view of the back of the water tower from the railroad track, but it was OK."

"Brookdale Cushing Park was very large. They had about 30 or 40 independent homes with garages and everything else, plus independent living in three or four large buildings. We met with the sales director who was very helpful and had a lot of information. We were very satisfied, and it was very good. "

"I went to visit Sunrise of Leominster because it was recommended at our senior center. It was a very beautiful and nice place. The woman who toured us around was wonderful. But with my mother's income, a shared room was what she would get. Their shared apartment had one big room, one smaller room, a shared small living room and also a shared small bathroom. It would have been better if there were private bathrooms for each of the shared apartments. "

"My visit to Manor on the Hill was wonderful. It has a very homey and nice comfortable feel, good programs, and an adult day care program which my grandmother was attending. It was an incredibly smooth transition for her to move into the memory care unit. The facility is very nice. They have a spa and a barbershop, and a doctor, podiatrist, and nurse practitioner come to visit regularly. The staff all know each other. It was much closer to our house. "

"We didn't observe that many activities at the time of our visit in Leominster Crossings, but they were going to be doing some bowling and things like that. The place is clean and beautiful. I love their dining room. The rooms they have for their occupants are lovely. The staff is nice, helpful and friendly. We're happy with the place, we just weren't ready quite yet to take that move. However, I would recommend this place to others. "

"I recommend Epoch of Weston very, very highly. And I can’t say enough to thank the excellent folks in Rehab Unit. It has been 6 months since a traumatic fall resulted in 4 broken bones, surgery, and 10 weeks of Rehab in this wonderful facility. In retrospect, I realize how very well I was “cared for” and “cared about.” Physically the facility is beautiful and clean. Cleaning products are odor free and there is a concerted effort to keep things clean and orderly. The carpeted dining room is lovely with table cloths and cloth napkins for lunch and dinner. We had wine glasses (filled with diet ginger ale or cranberry juice, mind you.) The menu was excellent and varied, repeating every 3 or 4 weeks, with sandwiches always available on request. They were able to accommodate my dietary needs with few errors. And fun trivia questions during Happy Hour… The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy services were excellent. Therapists were smart and skilled. I had both services 6 days a week! Although it was rigorous, I am sure the strength and awareness I gained made my return home much easier than it could have been. When questions or problems arose, the staff was quick to consult and come up with solutions. The heart of any institution is the people. I was virtually helpless, and the wonderful people who helped me with my daily physical care made a big difference. By treating me with respect, they made the indignities of helplessness tolerable. From bed pans in the middle of the night to opening my cereal box on my breakfast tray, I am so very grateful. Many of the staff have been at Epoch for many years and have a spiritual life. Experience counts and a life of service supported by spirituality couldn’t be stronger. The nurses and supervisors were universally helpful and very skilled and even funny! I always felt that I could ask them for help and they would respond. And the Social Worker was quick, efficient and very kind when difficulty occurred. I can’t discuss the other services at Epoch of Weston, but the staff often served on more than one floor. I’m sure the quality was equally strong in those areas. The one area of concern was a disagreeable smell when sitting on the patio in the summer. I understand that they are working on it. This recommendation is my own opinion from having been in just one other rehab center following surgery. Epoch is head and shoulders above my previous experience. More importantly, other residents with years of accumulated rehab experience put Epoch of Weston at the very top. I am very grateful for the care I received and the kindness of everyone I met. Thank you! "

"My parents moved to Maplewood from Florida in November 2019 to be closer to the rest of our family, mostly in the Boston area. While they have had some challenges in adjusting, as well as some medical issues, my family is really glad we chose Maplewood. The staff is diligent and attentive; the nurses are very capable and caring; the food is good; the activities are often terrific. My folks' apartment is spacious and lovely. In addition, my parents have made friends, are busy, eat well, take all their meds, and get regular exercise, as well as physical therapy. My dad says everyone wants to sit with them at dinner!"

"I was impressed with the quality of the facility at the Residences. The guy who worked with the lighting made it very cheerful, and they were in the process of increasing the size of the facility by 30 percent. The apartment was about 500 to 600 sq. ft. The staff was very satisfactory. There were a lot of activities and a garden to maintain while getting ready for summer. They had a restaurant in the facility, and the food was better than most restaurants. "

"We toured All American Assisted Living at Wrentham. I thought it was very nice. It's just the price was higher and the rooms the rooms were shared, rather than your own room, which is not what we were looking for, but it's a beautiful facility. I did not have a meal. They had displayed the evening meal, which is their lighter meal, but it didn't look like a big portion either. Both my husband and I noted that. They had a beautiful library. It's a new building, so everything's very nice. They do have an outer area, it was very nice."

"We toured Cedarbrook Village at Ware. We looked at a couple, and this one seemed to be the best one for the needs of my father-in-law. We've met 3 or 4 of the staff. They all sound very nice. The facility is brand new. It opened in 2020, and it's a gorgeous facility. We did see an exercise class while we were there viewing it. The people were getting ready for lunch but they did have dancing and live music. They take people out. They go out for ice cream. They go out for coffee. It seems like they keep them very busy. We did see a schedule of things that they are going to be doing during the week, and they do keep them occupied."

"I am living here without problems. It's a very nice place in a large home. It's a retirement, assisted, and health center. I have a two-room apartment with all the facilities I wanted. The staff is fine. We have the housemaid, maintenance, waitresses, and cooking crew. I don't have any complaints about the food. We get three meals a day and have various activities. At least three times a week, they have an individual or a group come in to sing or dance, and once a while they take you to a local point of interest. I chose this place because it's one mile from our home, and I know the area very well. "

"I visited the assisted living facility of Smithfield Woods Senior Living. They seem very friendly, and the place has a nice atmosphere. The apartments seem very nice, too, so everything is good and I'm happy with it. The upkeep is excellent. It's very clean, and I didn't see any issues. It seems to be well taken care of. I saw one room had a pool table, and another room had a little bar. They also have meeting rooms where people can gather for entertainment. It seems very good. I only met a couple of people from the staff, but they seemed very nice."
