"Cabot Park Village is something like $4000 a month for one-bedroom unit. They do have a pool that's big enough to do laps in. They have a singing group. They do have personal trainers and that's included as part of your monthly fee. Some housekeeping is included as well. He was able to show me a one-bedroom and it was a very nice looking place. The kitchen wasn't large, but it was well organized. The dining area looked nice. I believe they have an elevator on either end of the building so people who have walkers do not have any trouble getting up and down. I think the building is two floors high. The staff was very nice. I can't drive anymore so they sent their van to pick me up. As I was getting a tour of the place, there were residents who kept coming up and saying that this is a great place. "

"Sophia Snow Place was pleasant. I had no issues with it; it just wouldn't serve my friend's purposes. It was clean, the people were friendly, and they seemed to enjoy living there. The person who I spoke with was very pleasant."

"I liked Orchard Cove the best because of the quality of its facilities and the nature of the residents’ population. Lots of facilities -- gym, physical therapy, swimming pool, activities, lectures, concerts, multiple dining rooms; very nice. "

"We chose them for my aunt. It's very warm, cozy, and beautiful; beautiful in architecture, and everything about it. It's a nice, warm place when you first step in. The staff is very attentive to the clients. The food is fantastic, and the residents are very happy. Lots of activities. They have bingo, trips, arts and crafts, they have a welcoming party when you first come in which is a phenomenal thing. A welcome dinner which made her really at home with a deejay, food, and family invited. It was a nice experience when you first came in."

"Chapel Hill Senior Living was very good. It was top of the line. I saw rooms, I met different people that work there, and the whole thing was clean, uplifting, very professional, courteous, and caring, and that's the impression I got from them. I was impressed by everything that I saw there. When I was there, they were having a watercolor painting class, and in another area, they were doing some type of exercise. Those were the only two activities I got to see."

"My visit to Manor on the Hill was wonderful. It has a very homey and nice comfortable feel, good programs, and an adult day care program which my grandmother was attending. It was an incredibly smooth transition for her to move into the memory care unit. The facility is very nice. They have a spa and a barbershop, and a doctor, podiatrist, and nurse practitioner come to visit regularly. The staff all know each other. It was much closer to our house. "

"Allerton House at Central Park is very well-organized and compact. It's comforting because everything is right there at your fingertips. The location is very good and convenient to everything. Everything looked brand new and was very well set up for a person who would need this type of help, so there weren't any crevices or things that would get in the way. The staff seemed great. The food looked very good."

"The only reason we didn't pick The Current South Shore is that the apartment was on the fifth floor, and the porch was way bigger. It didn't have a cover, so we were wondering how we were going to shovel it and where do you put the snow when you're five stories up. The Current South Shore was actually really nice. It was brand new. It was six months old. The apartment that they showed us was a studio with a huge porch, and that was for independent living. I would give it a 3 only because right beside it was an automotive shop, and you could smell the oil if you went outside. Also, if my dad needed more help, he would lose his apartment, and he would get a smaller place. The staff member who gave the tour was wonderful, but the other person was awful. We gave them money first and then changed our mind because the other person was so bad. The place is beautiful, but one of their problems is the way the driveway is. When you come in, there's not much room. It's the way it's designed."

"We're very impressed with Cornerstone of Weymouth. This was a 10 out of 10 on general review. The community was great. The residents were very, very informative. The co-directors, Siobhan and Janie, who are actually sisters, were far and away the most helpful of any of the management that I met from any of the recommendations. I had an excellent lunch there with two men who were already residents and two who were like me, looking to find a place. The best thing about it was that they have an absolutely wonderful exercise room with treadmills and other exercise equipment, the best of any of the facilities that I saw. They have a washer and dryer in the one-bedroom."

"We visited Allerton House. It was very nice. It is very easy to get to, and it is very convenient. It is not too far from Boston and not too far from the Hingham area. The shopping center is not too far from this facility, so it is very convenient. We had lunch there, and it was very adequate. There were 15 tables in the dining room, they were all full, and the staff was very efficient. The rooms were very nice. We like the rooms. We saw a two-bedroom room and a one-bedroom room, and they were both very nice. "

"My mother-in-law is in Shillman House. The people are caring, and the facility is nice and clean. They have activities. She loves the food. Everything is pretty good so far. My wife said the food is very good. It's very new and kept up very well. They're just starting to open up due to Covid, but they have activities every day. It's good value for the money. We checked other places that were charging more, and this is absolutely very good for the price."

"Mom was at The Residence at Valley Farm for respite care. Everything from the food, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the place were all good. I've tried a meal once and it was pretty good. Mom's room was very good, clean, and well-kept up. It's a bright and comfortable room. They had activities, like movies in the lounge and other things."
