"Atria Draper Place is a lovely place. It's beautiful and clean. It's a nice small community. The woman was very caring. Unfortunately, it is a little further than my friend was comfortable going. The rooms were nice. Every room was a little bit unique because it had been an old mill building. They had very high ceilings and lots of light. The rooms looked clean and modern."

"I loved everything about them; the staff was very warm, caring, and aware of the residents. I really liked the space provided, I was impressed with the menu, and they had great activities. I only have positive things about it. "

"We toured The Residence at Natick South. It has a very beautiful, elegant, and very formal setting. It required furnishing for even a short-term rehab stay. They did not provide a television. They had a white linen dinner every night, a well-appointed exercise room, and very friendly staff."

"I went to see Anthology of Millis. The atmosphere there was not as good as it could be. I know it was a nice place. It was a new place. The layout was OK. Some of the rooms may have been a bit smaller than the others. I'm not positive about that, but what bothered me most about it was the atmosphere there. The staff was nice. The gal who gave us the tour was nice, but it was just the place that had a different vibe."

"I went to Magnolia Heights Gracious Retirement Living. When you drive in, the landscape is just gorgeous. It's a very large facility. So I think it might be too big for her. I think she was slightly overwhelmed even though she liked some of the rooms. There's a lot of walking because the house is much longer than some, but it was a gorgeous place and the person showing us around was so very kind, very considerate, and very informative. She's called me back a couple of times. We found it to be really beautiful. These residences are just immaculate. I didn't see one thing out of line. Nothing. The decorations are beautiful. They had everything you could imagine. The sizes of the rooms are very nice and very assorted. From the smallest to the largest, they're all very beautiful and the area is nice."

"I visited Maplewood at Weston. They have no studios but they have 1-bedrooms. They were very spacious and very nice. The person that was there, I guess one of their sales people, she was extremely forthcoming, very knowledgeable, and was able to get a lot of information for me. She followed up with me several times when my uncle had some relapses with pneumonia. She called to see how he was doing and how things were coming along. They showed me the menu. I would like to stay there for lunch, but they were restricted other than the residents using the dining area because of distancing, etc. The facade was beautiful. The setting was lovely. It's a nice location. The building itself was excellent. It was beautiful, clean and well kept."

"The Commons in Lincoln is very pretty. The lobby and the dining room are large and nice. The people seem friendly. I have lunch there, and it is very nice. The woman who shows me around is very helpful and very nice. They have a pool and the gym or the recreation area. They show movies at night. They have transportation to doctor's appointments. I saw a large apartment there. "

"My parents will be moving to The Residences at Wingate. It's a relatively new place at only three years old. It has a very nice, clean feeling, a lot of lights, very open, and on the smaller side. I think there are 48 rooms. The staff was very positive. We met the executive director first and then the person who helps new people, and they were both excellent. We had lunch in the dining room and the staff was very friendly and nice. Everybody is doing a very good job. They have a nice dining room. I'm a chef, so I am very particular about food, but it's very well cooked. Everything was good. "

"What I liked about Manor on the Hill was how friendly and efficient the staff was. They seemed very accommodating and the facility was very clean and light. It's just a nice environment. They showed me the common areas where they eat and they walked me through the programs. They also showed me one of the rooms in the memory care unit and the common area where they play games and things like that."

"New Pond Village was very warm and friendly. It's a little bit smaller than the other place. Other than the fact that they have an indoor pool, it had a nice feel to it. When you walk in, you definitely feel that you're going into the lobby of a facility, as opposed to the other place, which feels like you're going into a high-end hotel lobby. But the friendliness of New Pond Village was incredible. The director of sales was terrific. He was also very, very informed, and gave us all kinds of tips. Their apartments are also very lovely. It's a little less expensive than the other place, but most of the apartments have porches. They're not screened-in porches, but they're porches nonetheless. There's a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in the apartment. There are several places to eat. They have an open bar three days a week and a social hour. He laughed when he said it's supposed to start at 4:00 in the afternoon, but it usually ends up starting a little bit earlier, which I think is kind of fun. Their doctor was on call and he was only there one day a week, but that was not terrible. I would be perfectly happy there if it turns out that I can't afford the other place. It had a nice feel to it. They also have assisted living and skilled nursing as well. The place was very clean."

"We really, really liked Cabot Park Village. All they have is independent living. The woman who toured us around was absolutely delightful. We were able to visit a particular unit where a woman was home, and we were able to talk to her, which was nice. It's under construction, so a lot of the areas weren't available to see. My understanding is that they do not have assisted living. If you need anything more than independent care, they ship you out. The place was busy because so much of it is under construction. We never went into the dining room, but we could look through a window into it, and it seemed perfectly fine. There was a pool, a library, and an exercise room. There was no underground parking. It's all outside parking, and right now it's under construction, so the parking is limited."

"We went to Traditions of Dedham. The facility was very nice. We met some of the people there, and everything was nice. They have some good sized apartments. However, they could use an auditorium of some sort because everything they do is in the front lobby. They have the regular activities. They have people come in, and they have classes of some sort. Plus they have an assisted living as well. The staff was very accommodating. We had lunch there, and the food was alright. "

"Holiday Summer Place was very convenient. The units were beautiful, and they had a beautiful dining hall. Everything was perfect. If there was one thing that I liked least about it was they didn't have medical people onsite that could help my mother. I had to bring that in from the outside. So, that was really the only downfall. The staff was excellent. John, the manager, was outstanding. He has actually followed up with me several times just to check in and see how my mother is doing. I thought everything was outstanding and very well cared for. Everything was clean. He showed me a few of the units that were available. Everything was updated. Really, all you need to do is put furniture in."
