"The lady at Summer Place was very informative and told us what to expect and everything and she was very nice. We toured the room, we toured the lobby area, and we toured the activity room. We couldn't do any of the lunches because COVID was in effect. It was very clean and it was nice to see what they have to offer there. I was happy with it; if I was gonna put my dad in there, I would be very satisfied with the place."

"I looked at the Cabot Park Village, which was independent living, and I went in under the assumption that I would qualify for the income level, but it turned out I was above it. If they had just stated the amount at the beginning, they wouldn't have wasted their time or my time. I was a teacher, so I'm above affordable housing, but I don't meet the qualifications for luxury housing. Other than that, the building was well-maintained, and the staff was pleasant. You have your own kitchen, but you have to share a laundry room. They have great facilities. It's a nice town and a nice location. They had an indoor pool, a piano, and all the things that were of interest to me."

"My parents will be moving to The Residences at Wingate. It's a relatively new place at only three years old. It has a very nice, clean feeling, a lot of lights, very open, and on the smaller side. I think there are 48 rooms. The staff was very positive. We met the executive director first and then the person who helps new people, and they were both excellent. We had lunch in the dining room and the staff was very friendly and nice. Everybody is doing a very good job. They have a nice dining room. I'm a chef, so I am very particular about food, but it's very well cooked. Everything was good. "

"The Delaney at the Vale wasn't right for us, but it was a fine facility. The staff was very helpful and spent a lot of time. It really seemed ideal for a certain kind of person, but we wanted to be more urban. We are New Yorkers, and it was like a resort. It's not really what we wanted. We needed it to be closer to town, that kind of thing, but the facility itself was brand new."

"I recently visited Manor on the Hill because I am looking for a place for my mother. I was overwhelming surprised from the moment I walked in the door at how home like it felt. Michelle the receptionist was so welcoming I felt as though I was an immediate friend. I was provided a tour and the staff seemed very happy everyone was saying hello and had a smile on their face. The rooms are spacious and they had a good amount of activities going on threw out the day. I left knowing that my mother would be in good hands at the Manor. "

"Sophia Snow Place is a very nice place. I had lunch, and the food was excellent. The director showed me around. They served all your meals and had high-quality stuff. The place was immaculate, and everyone was nice. However, I would be isolated because I don’t know anybody there, and I don't drive."

"Our experience with Orchard Cove has been warm, personal, and responsive from the first contact to the present - 6 months after my sister's entry to the community. It is a true community. The culture of Orchard Cove is kind and friendly. All residents are treated with great respect and warmth. Everyone is known by name and the dinners introducing new residents provide a nice 'ice-breaker.' My sister has developed a lovely group of friends. She enjoys the concerts and lectures. The food is excellent. The surroundings are lovely, inside and out. The facility is beautifully appointed with lots of art work displayed. Galleries of work by the residents are very impressive as well. The library is well-stocked and has varying displays. There are many spots for private conversation and social gatherings of various sizes. Outside, the secluded setting abutting the pond is beautiful with walking trails and multiple places for sitting outdoors. My family couldn't be happier with our sister's new home. The fact that she was able to transfer her primary medical care to the on-site doctor is an added bonus. She also enjoys massage and acupuncture as well as regular exercise opportunities. When I'm done caring for my own home it's certainly a place I'd enjoy living!"

"I toured The Woods at Merrimack and Jocelyn did an outstanding presentation. She didn't slant one way or the other as if this place was better than others, but she just simply stated the facts. The facility is about a year old and it's absolutely gorgeous. There's nothing not to like about it. Everything is perfectly new. A few of the staff that I talked to were delightful and very pleasant. The dining area was just standard, but they do have a couple of activity areas and they have a tavern where you can act like you were at a bar. They have a very small exercise area, but the outside grounds were beautiful."

"I was thinking about moving my mom into Allerton House because their food service is much faster. Her friend is there. They don’t wait for food, which I like. It was an older building but inice. I didn’t see too many staff members, but I haven’t heard any problems because her friend’s family seems to like it there. I was visiting someone’s room and the room was average, clean, and had nice windows. It seemed OK."

"Summerhill was very nice and clean. They showed me a room where activities take place, but they didn’t name any specific activities. The people I dealt with were very nice too. "

"Camellia Gardens Maynard has all of the details and specifics that we're looking for, so it made it very, very easy with the pricing and the different kinds of protocols. Mostly, the best impression that we had was the capacity of the individuals, or the teams that were looking at supporting us, really came through. So that was the main thing. In terms of the physical look of the complex, it is one of the better ones that I have seen, and I have toured many locations in Virginia, Florida, New York, and Montana, and also now in Massachusetts. The grounds are absolutely impeccable compared to pretty much every other location I have been in. Not only that, they have the grounds. However, now it is a new community. And as of yesterday, I believe they had three locations left in it, as they were doing the initial filling up of the location, so when my brother signed up he got the last one-bedroom in the location, and there were some two-bedrooms and studios left, but I believe they were also taken up. I think they may be maxed out at this point. So obviously there will now be a waiting list as people leave, and so on for the next group of people that want to come in. The staff who assisted me during my visit was amazing. The food is good, and part of the process when we looked up this one was the menu. Some places I have seen in the past start out with a menu, and then they go to a fixed meal. This is a full menu and they have three meals. And again, typical of most retirement communities, they have the heavier or main dinner at lunch, and then usually a lighter meal in the evening, so that's pretty much typical of them. They have a fair amount of activities going on. In terms of amenities, everything at least matches or exceeds any of the other communities that I have been involved with, which are quite a few. So I took a look at things ahead of time and tried to do as much evaluation as I could. So the amenities either match or exceed beyond what I have found in other locations. The staff who assisted us was excellent and very personal. They got to know us and my brother immediately, and remembered their names too. They were quite busy, but they were very good. The gardens were excellent. There's enough rest areas like little libraries, little game rooms, and they're very well-appointed."
