"My friend is in Maristhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She's doing well there. It's very good. They're taking great care of her and she's actually doing much better. I think they have about 100 patients. The building is four floors, and she has a shared room she shares with one other person. It has a bathroom, individual closets, individual bureaus, and a window. They provide good food and some activities. There is a nice area where she can, or we can take her for walks when we visit. We can take her out for lunch. It's very clean. They have a hard time keeping up with some of the bathrooms that everybody can access, but she has her own individual bathroom. The staff is great. There are nurses, aides, the doctor, and they're excellent in giving her her medication. She spends time with the other residents, and she's very popular there with the other residents. I don't usually see her eating, but she does seem to be happy with the meals. She said the food is good. It's one of the more expensive ones."

"My brother has attended the Blaire House Adult Day Health program for many years. I can't emphasize enough the program benefits and wonderfully supportive staff. From an inviting entrance with a fish pond to an attractive waiting area efficiency and caring are evident. The meals and snacks are healthy and delicious. Transportation is well managed and dependable. The activities with games, exercise and music are fun and engaging. The program has meant increased stimulation, socialization and care as my brother ages. Our family is thrilled that my brother's quality of life has been greatly enhanced thanks to Blaire House!"

We said how about if we try to get her back to assisted living, she said "no, I'm not leaving here." She's pleased with what's going on there, and the place is fine. "

The receptionist even brings a Greek newspaper for my husband which she picks up from a Greek friend of her fathers. I was not prepared to be so satisfied and delighted with the care my husband who has Alzeheimers receives there three days a week. "

"The staff at Youville Place was very friendly, but the residents weren't talking. They're a little quiet and more hoity-toity. It was a very nice facility, but the rooms were really tiny. The dining area looked very nice, and the food seemed very good. They had the usual activities, Catholic service, exercise, and cocktail hours. I just felt it was dark, not bright or sunny. It's an old building. The residents weren't congregating and talking with each other or saying hello. They weren't communicating to each other. "

"Hebrew Rehabilitation Center is very good with great decorations. The staff is very friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable. They have concerts for the residents. The only problem I see is the parking. Parking during the day is sometimes difficult to find. I haven't tried the food there although my mother-in-law seems to have no complaints with it. They do have a good cafeteria downstairs if you don't like the food being served. They have some activities, concerts, and some entertainment at least once a week. They even have a synagogue right inside the facility. "

"The tour at Chelsea Soldiers' Home was excellent. The guy giving the tour took his time with us and showed us all of the amenities. It's just immaculately clean and it's a fresh, modern living environment. The rooms are private and they're good sized. And they all have their own bathroom. They do have a courtyard and activity area."

"A woman from Montachusett Home Care came three days a week. The agency was recommended by our senior center. The caregiver showered and did everything for my mom and she was just very clean. My mom really loved her. Even the agency was just on top of everything. I had no problems so far. "
