The tour at Chelsea Soldiers' Home was excellent. The guy giving the tour took his time with us and showed us all of the amenities. It's just immaculately clean and it's a fresh, modern living environment. The rooms are private and they're good sized. And they all have their own bathroom. They do have a courtyard and activity area.

My husband is in the Veteran's Adult Care group at the Soldiers Home and it has done wonders for him. Actually, it has helped his memory and conversation a little. The people there are so kind, thoughtful and understanding. The people that attend love it. They get to talk about their time in the service and they all seem to love that. They go over the newspaper with them every morning and then have a discussion about current events. Some days the play a DVD with "older" music which the men and women love. Some days my husband does not want to leave there. I'm so greatful to my husband's Dr. for telling me about this program. I wish more people knew of it.
