"I toured Rivercourt Residences for my mother-in-law and it was very nice. The staff was very thorough, very, very nice, and very welcoming. The rooms were very nice, but they were a little bit smaller than we were looking for. The place was very nice and very well decorated for Christmas. They did a good job with everything. I was there after lunch, so there was no one eating, but the dining area was clean."

"I did a tour of The Willows Retirement Community. The food was good. We were offered a meal as part of the tour, and it was delicious. Overall, it was acceptable. I like the fact that it had a continuum of care. However, I thought it was a little expensive. I know you get what you pay for, and the continuum of care has an impact. It was wonderful and lovely, but I thought it was just a little bit too expensive for what I'm looking for. The staff were very gracious. They answered everyone's questions, were very informative, and did the job. They showed us one room, it was ground level. It had a little patio outside. The little apartment was certainly enough for one person. It wasn't oversized or anything, but it was ample for one person. During the tour, we went to the dining room, and then we went to the one apartment on the first floor. We saw what was around there, which was near the lobby. They showed us where the mail came in, and the reception desk."

"Beaumont Rehab & Skilled Nursing Ctr-Natick is very good about answering any of my husband's needs. If he pushes the button, they're there pretty quickly afterward. They seem to be very friendly. His room in the skilled nursing is two to a room. I like that everything is clean. They bathe him and keep him comfortable that way. The meals are all right. When they go into the common room, they play games and he seems to enjoy going in there and being with the other people. We also like that they accept Medicaid, because not all places do."

"My husband goes to Blaire House of Tewksbury for daycare. He seems happy with the place. They play bingo and trivia games. When the weather is good, they go out for a walk. The socialization is good, and they are very good with him. The staff is very patient. It is a very nice place. It is clean, and it is in a quiet area. I am very happy with them. "

"Youville Place was a very expensive but excellent place, and I know it has a good reputation. It’s a very high end place, so it’s quite lovely. They have a chapel and masses -- which is quite good. They had a beautiful dining area and a chef."

"My friend is in Maristhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She's doing well there. It's very good. They're taking great care of her and she's actually doing much better. I think they have about 100 patients. The building is four floors, and she has a shared room she shares with one other person. It has a bathroom, individual closets, individual bureaus, and a window. They provide good food and some activities. There is a nice area where she can, or we can take her for walks when we visit. We can take her out for lunch. It's very clean. They have a hard time keeping up with some of the bathrooms that everybody can access, but she has her own individual bathroom. The staff is great. There are nurses, aides, the doctor, and they're excellent in giving her her medication. She spends time with the other residents, and she's very popular there with the other residents. I don't usually see her eating, but she does seem to be happy with the meals. She said the food is good. It's one of the more expensive ones."

"Here on Earth is an adult day care facility operating from 9-3 lcoated in the personal home of the owner and her husband. It is a colonial with a beautiful, large yard. The inside of the home is lovely, too. It's spacious and homey. It looks like a regular home, which is the feel the owner is trying to convey. Threre were few residents there the day I visited. It seemed more of a social interaction than a medical one. I was struck by the beautiful artwork by the residents displayed on the wall in the dining-turned craft room. I saw an elderly participant sitting peacefully in the sunroom reading a book. Looks like a beautiful place for those not in need of a great deal of care or for those whose memory is impaired or who just needs company. "

"We chose the Blaire House for my father. He's there five days a week during the day. They've been very helpful with the overwhelming amount of paperwork to get it all set up and do a really good job. I'm very pleased with them. They play cribbage with friends there, have lunch and dinner, and do all the transportation. They have different areas for different functions, and a community room and a TV room to spend time together. They also have an overnight service. "
